Orpheus was setting up for the next class that he was having for the kids. This one was less just for fun and more for them integrate their special abilities. Hidden through out the classroom were a half dozen little ping pong balls done up with various colors or scents on them. One was in the branches of one of the trees, one was on the ground hidden among the leaves, and the rest in various other places.
A child with a good sense of smell maybe be able to find one among the leaves, one with good eye sight may see one that is hidden up high, one with wings may be able to fly up to one that was tied in the branches of the trees, and so on and so forth.
When everything was set up he headed out to wait in front of the classroom, closing the door after himself so that he could await the students that were going to come this time around.
(( Nobody can go in the classroom yet instead gathering in the hall until there are a few of them. The 'treasures' are something that I am working on now drawing and coloring. The things that they are going to find are just balls like ping pong ones. They will be traded for other prizes.
I think I am gonna have this lesson be for the older kids (stage two kids that have their eggs) as for what the prizes are gonna be.
^___^ *a surprise!* ))

Nero shuffled along down the hallway uncertainly, for once walking without being beside his caretaker. He dipped his head down nervously, and then ducked around the corner and scampered out infront of the classroom that belonged to the infamous Orpheus. He stopped dead in his tracks after he was only feet away from his destination, glancing around. He had yet to actually MEET this infamous teacher, for whatever lessons that would benefit his species had yet to come up.. There had just been swimming... And whatever else there had been. He only knew swimming because Jekel had done the swimming one.
He calmed as soon as he found a spot to stand, all fours peering about in a surprisingly calm manner. Dare I say it- the scorpion child was beginning to greatly simmer down. He was no longer constantly 'on the edge of his seat'. This was very pleasing in the eyes of his guardian.

With her mom and Aunt Tizzy otherwise occupied during the better part of the day, Indigo had gotten used to attending her classes on her own. It's not that she'd minded (though she'd been a bit lonely at first); and besides, it let her get out of her mother's shadow a little and get to know the other children.
The onychophoran's antennae twitched and shivered as she wandered down the hall, picking up on the various and fascinating scents of the others who had been down this way recently. Most interesting was a dusty, sandy one she'd felt before--sometime back in the egg incubation facility, when all the other children her age had been there. Watery gray eyes found Nero as Indigo turned the corner, and her usual slight smile widened into a grin. There weren't many other invertebrate kids besides her, Nero, and Kliken, so it was always fun to see someone of her own "type".
"Nero! Hi!" Picking up her feet, Indigo jogged down the hall to join the scorpion boy, waving eagerly with her uppers.

(( The prize at the end is something for the kids for their dragons so I would ask Arafel. I think that it should be ok though. ^_^ ))
Orpheus looked over to the first couple children that arrived, "Indigo and Nero. Welcome to the class. We will be starting shortly after we get a couple more students here to join us." He told them, "For now we are just gonna wait and give them a little more time before I open up the classroom and tell everyone what it is that we will be doing today."
Ligeia stood off to the side, leaning against the wall watching the other kids and his father then looked at the classroom door curiously. His father hadn't even told him about what was going on in the room. He wondered what it could be, whatever it was Orpheus was excited over the idea.

((She said yes. Sooo here I am~ BTW when Keanu says monster he means it in the fondest way... Really. XP He's just strange. So don't think I'm making fun of you ;-; it's his way of saying 'Wow! You're cool looking, odder than the rest!' He thinks it's nifty, since he loves wierd stuff.))
Keanu grinned, peeking around a corner. He'd managed to convince Raja to let him be at school today without a chaperone at all. No Tai-Yun, no anyone keeping an eye on him. A smirk played on the boys lips as he started down the hall, the brilliant red pattern on his coal colored shirt seeming far to radiant. As for what it was, even Keanu couldn't figure it out yet, but it certainly looked like some of the cool pictures in that book of Haru's he liked reading... Well trying to read. He couldn't understand most of it. The words made no sense. Still, he liked it, and that was what mattered.
Rounding a corner, the pale skinned child spotted the door, ears perking as he drew closer to the figures. The kids all looked more his age, and then there was one adult. Red, red hair... Not as dark red, as Haruki's, but more orange red. He didn't see that so much, did he? Hmm... Well people where peoply. The black hued jeans he'd chosen that day where obviously meant for someone a bit bigger than Keanu, and drug on the floor a bit around his feet. His feet where bare, obviously Raja was still working on getting him to wear shoes. Still, the boy was wearing a long sleeved shirt, and pants did say something for an accomplishment. Though the fact his bangs hung over his eyes messily, seeming too long, and unkept also much have had their own message. At least his hair was tied back in the back, so it too did not fall in his face in strands of black, and white. Blue eyes caught sight of something he recognized as they passed off of the teacher, and onto a pale greenish creature. A large grin spread across the felines face at the sight of the other.
"Nero monster~!" He called cheerfully, obviously even if he realized that the other wasn't a monster he wasn't done refering to the other by the name. The boys tail waved back, and forth behind him as he hurried forward. "Hey haven't seen you for a while, how are things?" He asked, pausing as he glanced at the gurl. Purple hued skin, and... Well she was odd too. "Hey I knew you had monster friends." He said, grinning. He'd never been shy, nor afraid to state his mind. Certainly Nero had learned that when they met before. "So what's our lady monsters name?" He asked, shifting back, and forth a bit, before looking up at the teacher, then back down at the girl. "And my name's Keanu, nice to meet you miss monster!"

It certainly hadn't been an easy morning; Sahra wasn't used to such chaos and havoc in the household. She had been brought to school by her mother's shifting daemon, Aj, as she called him. But luckily enough for her he wasn't able to stay with her like he would normally do, shifting into a small lizard or a mouse and following her around in secrecy. He never seemed to think she knew he was there, but in truth, she always did. The ride had been rather bumpy, and way to on the quiet side. She enjoyed listening to others talk just to hear their voices, even though she didn't do so much herself.
Pushing a large door open, Sahra wandered in through familiar hallways, running her hand along the side of the wall and she speed on down the long corridor. Quietly humming to herself, she peered back and forth at every door as she passed, observing different people and the situations they were in, but really trying to find her destination. That's right, for once she had no clue were she was going, she was lost! Well, not really, but she liked to think of it that way. And the faster she got to the room, the faster she would escape. Escape what? She didn't know, and didn't much care, either; she just liked using the excuse while running down the hallway past a Tech.
But finally! The door was just around this bend, shining like a cut diamond in a pile of brass. She edged close to the corner, peaking over the edge, she wasn't sure if she really had the guts to go around it. Just over the corner she spied a few children that did not look at all familiar to her. That excited her slightly, being able to meet new people, but the fact that it was in class with lots of others, well, made her sort of nervous. "Mrr." She wouldn't let them intimidate her!
She pawed softly out form her hiding place, tip toeing around the corner, she slumped up against a wall and peered around, studying the faces and expressions of all those around her.

Orpheus looked over as two more students showned up, cats both. Alright so then he had two cats, a bird, an aracnid, and a insect. He nodded, that should be good for this class, "Alright. Five seems like a good even number." He said jokingly then gave them a smile, "This class I call 'Treasure Hunting 101'. This is both going to be easy and not depending on the lot of you."
The door was opened up and he let them walk into the class. For those that had been here they would already know what it looked liked, quite unlike a classroom more like stepping from the inside into a forest. It was outside without some of the same dangers.
"Now. This..." He held up a ping pong ball, "Is what our objective is. Somwhere in this place I've hidden some of them in various colors, some have been scented with perfume, one is even covered in glitter. The point is that these are what everyone is looking for. One each and no helping one another out. Its a test of each of your abilities."
He smiled, "Running, jumping, climbing up the trees, in the water, hidden among the leaves on the ground or in the rocks, there are a ton of places in such a place that they could be. You all have one hour to find what your looking for." He crossed his arms, "And once you find your ball come to me and I will exchange it for the prize that it represents."
Ligeia stepped into the room, looking around then back at his father with wide eyes, "Tr-Eeesure?" He asked curious, what sort of treasure were they going to get after they traded in the ball? He fluttered his wings then started forward into the class.

Cats, cats, and more cats! Indigo goggled as Keanu and then Sahra rounded the corner, still grinning the while. "You're a cheetah!" she exclaimed of Sahra. "Cheetahs are awesome! I saw a show on them once!" Then she dragged her attention 'round to Keanu, antennae perking up as he chattered at her. The moniker of monster made her giggle, covering her mouth with one of her uppers, the corners of her eyes crinkling with amusement. When you had a demon for a mother--not to mention six limbs, and purple skin--you got used to being called a lot of weird things.
"'M not a monster," she finally said, though she was evidently quite tickled at being called a "lady". "I'm a velvet worm! An' my name's Indigo." Offering the snow leopard a lower hand to shake, she added, "But I can be a monster if you want me to."
Up went those antennae again as Orpheus began speaking once more, and she found reason to grin wider at his joke. "Five's not even," she replied, teasing--and then he flung open the door and explained what they were going to do.
"Oooooo. Anywhere?" A treasure hunt, a treasure hunt! This was going to be fun. She clapped her uppers together, bouncing on the balls of her feet before looking at the others. Potential competition, sure, but that just made it more fun!

"Hi..." The scorpion child responded softly as he was approached, offering a smile to the girl now. He remembered her. She got her egg the same day he got his... All four of his eyes turned as two new children entered, the little guy perking up as he recognised Keanu. Sure, the boy was deadset on calling him a monster, but he was still friendly. And it seemed like he'd improved on his speech, too. That was good. He smiled brightly to the boy, wavering only a moment, "I-I'm st-stilll not a m-monster." He heard some people call his uncle a monster once. Axel had gotten very upset, he remembered... And that made the word even worse. But for some reason it was okay when Keanu said it, simply because it was mostly expected. "E-everythings going o-okay.. I s-saw a movie w-with zombies i-in it." He explained matter-of-factly, smiling cheerily at the two.. And then a stranger.
He turned his head towards Sahra, claws clacking idly. "H-hello." He tilted his head slightly, concern filling the two eyes that were able to show emotion- meaning his larger ones, "Are y-you 'f-fraid? It's ok-okay. Everyone h-here is re-real nice." He extended a friendly claw towards her, "I-I'm Ne-Nero..." His attention snapped to the teacher, the green boy going silent as the older one spoke. It was only respectful, after all, and Axel had taught him to always be respectful. "T-treasure?" He echoed along with the owl boy, noticing him for the first time now. He turned his head in his direction, two of his eyes blinking.
One of his extra legs lifted, waving in a friendly manner towards the other child. It was nice to be around so many people for once... And none of them were scary!... Speaking of scary... His eyes widened slightly, "Is i-it gonna b-be sc-scary?" He asked meekly, looking to the teacher with wide eyes. Scary things were bad.

((Just a note, Raja is Keanu's mum, not Keanu. And Raja isn't here at all, Coronaviridae. Just so ya know.))
Still not a monster? What nonsense was that, of course he was one. Where else would Keanu find monster friends? Well obviously there where more, but still, he'd seen a lot of people on streets, and such, it was rare enough. "You keep saying that." He replied, smiling, and pausing as the girl spoke. Another one babbling about not being a monster? What was it with this? Velvet worm? She couldn't be a worm, worms where those things in the ground, and they where slimy. He didn't particularly like them.... Pausing a moment though... Well there was a slight resemblence, but not much. "Alright, Indigo monster, got it." He replied, looking as excited as usual. He paused looking at her hand a moment, before shaking it. He'd seen some of the older people around the house do that, after asking he'd been told it was polite, but he was still getting used to that whole... Action. It didn't make much sense.
Hmm, and what of zombies. What were those? A question for later. He glanced over his shoulder as the pair seemed to be noticing someone else. Though he recognized the girl quickly, he'd mistaken her for a faerie a while back in the woods. He smiled, waving, about to speak when the teacher spoke up. Ears perked instantly at the classes title. "Treasure..?" He murmured quietly, watching the man begin to explain with every bit of attention on the man Keanu could manage. Finding a ping pong ball, which was apparently a little round thingy. Hidden away, gotta find it, various things. Testing. He liked tests, challenges, like those knights in the books who fought dragons, and such. He was gonna have a test like the knights! That was even better! And besides, he got to run around like always, and explore. Besides, look at that classroom. It was better than the forest, the park, and his own backyard combined from what he could tell!
No second bidding was needed, he hurried in after the winged boy, tail waving behind him, and he sniffed a few times. What was he best at? Raja said he didn't mind cold, but that wouldn't matter. Or so he thought, he continued walking along, trying to think. Ability ability... What might he be better at that most. Hearing? Nose? Eyesight? He flicked an ear, frowning, and continuing along walking. He liked climbing trees, maybe that? He shook his head. Well whatever, he'd figure it out before long. Now then... He ran in a bit, eyeing the trees, and sniffing a bit. He wasn't sure what he might be good at, but he'd find out, oh yes, and he'd remember it. For when he went, and fought with those ogre thingies, the bad mean evil things he'd seen in that book. He needed to know this stuff, it was just a preliminary test. Like the teacher had said. "Here mister bally, where'd ya go?" He called, as if the things would call back to him. He'd at least figured out the difference between animate, and inanimate objects, of course... He still wanted to find those faeries. And Nero was still a monster. Now Indigo was one too. One had to wonder how that all worked.

((Argh, sorry, Raja. I knew that, but I do sometimes get scrambled on things like names. *goes to edit her post*))
Keanu's insistance on calling her and Nero monsters prompted another giggle from Indigo. Well, she wasn't going to argue; but if she got the chance, she'd try and scare him, but good! Now probably wasn't the time, though--the other kids were beginning to flood into the room, and she wasn't going to be the last! She padded after Sahra, divesting herself of her shirt as she did and leaving it crumpled in a bright-colored pile by the door. The mumu she was wearing as a skirt went on top of it, before the onychophoran girl bolted immediately for the trees. Quick as a flash, she disappeared into the hummus under their leafy branches, rummaging about with only a tuft of her hair and her antennae poking out.
Velvet worms, after all, were naturals when it came to the forest floor. Hopefully nice Mr. Orpheus wouldn't be as upset as Aunt Tizzy could be when Indigo wasn't wearing any clothes.

Orphues turned first to Nero and gave the child a reassuring smile, "You needn't worry about their being anything dangerous. In fact while this place make look quite like a forest if you look up you can see a glass ceiling. This place is in fact inside which keeps away anything that could in fact pose a threat." No predators in here, though the occasional bird did like to get in to make a nest since it was so safe. "Then only thing to watch out for is tripping or something like that."
He turned to watch as the two cats started forward along with Ligeia who was fluttering his wings, he gave a little laugh and refrained for telling the cats not to eat their bird classmate. He might find it funny but he wasn't sure if they would believe him joking and he didn't want to offend them, "Yep. The different ping pong balls coenside with a different treasure. There are five out there of various colors. One is black, one is purple, one is blue, one is red, and one is orange." He said, giving them some clues as he spoke though it wasn't going to make more easy just help them to know what they were looking for.
Orpheus blinked, looked around then recounted the students. One, two, three, four... Indigo? He looked around and found what she had been wearing but not her. Ok... as far as he knew kids didn't spontaneously disapears so he was sure she was out there somewhere. For now though he picked her cloths up off the dirt floor and hung them off a low branch so that they would stay clean.
Maybe she didn't want for them to get messed up while she was climbing around through this place? Made sense to him.
