What is this thread for?
- Post here ONLY IF you have been giving IC permission to use a golem. You can gain those through ORPS, by obtaining a Golem Piloting License.
- You must roll for a different golem once you have "returned" from a mission
- Hunters can only "OBSERVE" in their golems for a max of one (Halloween IC) week, though they are free to return earlier. They must write logs in their journal of observations they have made as renting golems is for training purposes only, these logs can also count as RP reqs for being promoted to the next Hunter rank
- Hunters might be forced to retire their golem earlier if they are called to a mission in the Human World, incidentally, they can only pilot their golem in sanctioned areas (which is currently Amityville, the dorms, and the old Florescetival grounds, though there is nothing there now but ruins)
- Once you have successfully rented out a golem, you can now rp in the main Halloween guild here, BUT REMIND YOURSELF THAT YOUR CHARACTER IS A HUNTER and not an Amityville student at heart.
GENERAL GOLEM RENTAL RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS:
- Once again, only those with a rental license can rent them, you are free to go on training observation missions in groups if you so desire, or solo.
- Aggressive behaviour is in general not allowed, Hunters are requested to restrict themselves from being "outstanding" as to attract attention to themselves and suspicion
- You are free to read this RP to remember where exactly the chamber is located to rent a golem. Use at your Hunter's own discretion
- General golem renting instructions:Instructions for this thread - IN THIS THREAD, please follow the instructions below: - - At this point in time before RPing, please ROLL THREE 6-sided dice in your first post.- The FIRST DICE determines your species gender. Odd is male, even is female. - The second dice determines the SIZE/bulk of your golem. 1 is relatively small (3-4 feet at your discretion) while 6 is rather large ( 7-8 feet). Anything in between is a moderate average size and weight. SMALL ROLL CHANGE DONT PANIC - The THIRD DICE determines the SPECIES of your golem. 1-2 = demon, 3 = undead, 4 = undead, 5-6 = monster. Subspecies is up to you, you can choose from HERE. Keep in mind while your golem does LOOK like the creature in question, it sadly does not have the natural abilities/ Fears associated to it. It only looks to deceive, meaning, if they are a ghost they can't really phase through walls, etc etc. - Lastly, as established in the rp, their voices all sound the way they usually are, so even if they are some sort of 8 foot male monster (of your choice what kind of monster, really), and their real Hunter selves are a petite female, they are going to sound like an 8 foot male monster with the voice of a small girl. - AFTER YOU HAVE ROLLED, edit your post to your character going into the room/ going to rent the golems in the training facility and hopefully their reasoning behind it. The rest of their actual in-golem rp can be done in the Halloween/Amityville guild. - Hunter weapons, while not physically on the golems, are still there in consciousness. They can be either a guiding or a hindering voice that helps navigate them around Halloween. - This is an opportunity for Hunters to learn more about Halloween and rp with the others, so feel free to use Golem renting as your character pleases/when they are not on a mission

Renting golem for External Mission: Halloween Follow Up

He was going back to Halloween Town.
This was not really a discussion; since hearing about the chance to return to the place where that creature had been from, Gale had had one thought in his mind:
To figure out what the hell had happened.
It meant going back - to the "scene of the crime," so to speak. Ever since returning form the mission, he kept seeing that enormous, great beast in his mind, heard the awful voice, the horrendous shrieks of the creatures in their cages, felt the fire of the former Aria engulfing him, scorching his skin.
It was not as though it were easy to forget such a thing, after all.
Which was why he had asked for this mission - granted, he'd gotten some surly looks about it, and Jinhai had whined profusely for several days now (apparently he did not want to go, for reasons that were unknown to Gale), but Gale had ignored all of these factors and had instead made his way back to the place where everything had started.
The pod room was exactly how he remembered it - unnerving. Gale did not particularly enjoy the feeling of climbing into those infernal contraptions, but there was no going around it, after all. The last time he had been here they had been sent to HalloweenTown during the festival surrounding fish, or other such nonsense.
And he'd been in the body of a girl. A tall, white-skinned ice demon.
Gale still shuddered thinking about it.

With a sigh, Gale made his way towards the desk to show his permissions. He had spent the past several days working towards preparing for this (not that it really needed that much preparation), receiving the details, and now that it was actually time to go, he was ready.

There was a long pause from the ring on Gale's left index finger. Then -

The voice was not exactly happy, but Jinhai sounded faintly amused beneath the disgruntlement. A small smirk touched Gale's lips as he climbed into the pod.

It took a bit of detective work, but Deryk eventually found him in the golem rental chamber. A few senior hunters managed to fill him in a little on the purpose of these golems. He had to actually go into Halloween to get this mission done. That might explain why Cael said it was a cesspool earlier on.
Quite frankly, he was nervous about this whole thing. It sounded simple at first, but now he wasn't so sure of it.
Well, he had to do this. Taking in a deep breath, he went through the procedures needed to take one of these things for a ride. Maybe it wouldn't be too bad. Maybe. Just maybe.
Slowly, he climbed into the pod, and hoped he could get this task done.

She hadn't been in this chamber for a while. Cass strode in purposefully, walking over to one of the pods. She pointed at the input for the information, looking over to Aleister. "You need to put your information into this before you climb in, but besides that, it is the luck of the draw of what you're going to end up in." she explained quickly, walking over to another pod to put her own information into.
It wasn't a very dramatic insert, but it would be an interesting interlude, if nothing else. She took a moment to double check what she'd inputted into the machine before she climbed into the pod and settled in...
It was time to see what she got....

Otto followed after Cass, giving the room a look or two. He stayed back, watching what the female hunter did before following suit. He was a little bit nervous. His only experience with a golem had been during the island testing.
The mission was also vague, but he figured just go with it. What did he have to lose?
Nothing.
With a heavy sigh, the teen hopped into one of the devices, getting about as comfortable as he could, considering. He closed his eyes once all was set, waiting for the magic to happen.

Jerry was feeling optimistic he would get a decent Golem this time. With all of their previous reports on the matter, SURELY the gender or at least the voices would be fixed! surely.

Following the crowd of hunters into the room, Kat stared in awe as she eye'd the pods. Seemed like just yesterday she was crawling out of a pod--probably because she pretty much was. Following suit, Kat located a pod of her own, and climbed into it.
Well, it was now or never.

Nervous? Just a little. After all, this was her first time going in Halloween, as well as her first time getting into a golem--excluding the Island, of course. She watched as her fellow trainees got into the pods before emitting a little sigh. They had to get back into those things, huh?

Thank God Wilson wasn’t the first one here. He wouldn’t have a single clue what to do. Wary eyes stared at the pods some of the older trainees stepped into. He was supposed to step inside one of those? Wilson sighed. He couldn’t stay here all day. Wilson walked over to an empty pod and fumbled around with the input before he finally managed to enter in the required information.
Another sigh as he stepped into the pod and attempted to settle in. He had no clue what golem he would get, but hopefully it wouldn’t be too bad.
