Joliene was glad she had given into Terrence's insistence and brought him shopping with her. This would've taken virtually forever on her own and she would have to have taken a cab home. She was a little surprised he had been more than willing to put up with her grumpiness today given the circumstances. They were in the middle of a baby clothing store in the local mall and he seemed relaxed like he felt comfortable here. From what she had seen so far this wasn't typical of most men who stepped in this place, they often seemed nervous or overwhelmed. He even pointed out things he thought might be cute and were gender neutral, since Joliene didn't know what genders the twins would be.
Right now they were sitting on one of the benches the store was littered with taking a rest. Terrence had his arm around Joliene and his head resting on her shoulder. It was a typical scene with them, they had been friends since childhood and had long since given up what others thought about how odd they looked together like this. He watched the other customers looking around the store as Joliene relaxed. They had been here nearly an hour already after going through a couple of other stores so it was time for a break.

Leon was normally a very proud, knowledgeable man. He stool talk and walked like a man with a purpose, as he was right. Everytime he walked past a kiosk doing hair treatments, he usually walks a couple feet to the side and picked up the pace a little; they always seemed to love his hair! Of course his wife says he could cut it to avoid such attention, but he's way too attached to it, it was after all, a natural two tone color.
I digress.
On this day Leon was in the mall, trying to pick out a token of love and appreciation for putting up with his extreme ignorance towards things that have to do with 'baby'. Soon there were to be two in his household, and he had no clue what to do with them. The store clerks were always nice at this particular mall, so perhaps they would educate him so he could look like he's trying to learn to his beautiful Violet.
So here he stood, staring at Baby Crate and Barrel, trying to control his breathing so he could approach this situation with his fleeting 'cool'. Why was he so freaked out to go into a baby store? Perhaps they could read the fear on his face and make a fool out of him.. Perhaps they could teach him the wrong things as a cruel joke.. Perhaps they could kick him out of the store...
While he was freaking out, he completely didn't notice the couple snuzzling on the bench near the store.

It was Terrence who noticed the panicky male first. He sighed and shook his head, given the store the man was hesitating to go into, Terrence guessed him to be a very nervous (and possibly clueless) expectant father. He brushed her bangs away from her eyes to get her attention, since she seemed to be almost asleep. "I'll be just a sec Jo, gonna go see if I can help that guy over there. He looks like he might be having a panic attack."
Joliene mumbled something that sounded like an 'Mhm' and reluctantly sat up so Terrence could have his arm back. She stretched, not really minding having her catnap interrupted. There was still more shopping to do and it wouldn't get done if she fell asleep on a bench in the middle of the mall. Her hands went to her belly and she rubbed it lazily while she watched Terrence's exchange with the mystery man.
Terrence leaned in and nuzzled Joliene's cheek before he stood up and made his way to Leon. "I know this may seem a bit odd, but are you alright? You look pretty overwhelmed." Hopefully the two-tone haired man wouldn't take offense to a stranger walking up and asking something like that. Terrence understood that not everyone was social and outgoing as Joliene and their mutual friends. He reached out a hand toward the gentleman's shoulder stopping just short of it not wanting to startle him.
