"Steven
We're not sure if you've heard the news lately, but we thought we would contact you about a recent attack by Team Rocket on the Coordinators contest a couple of days ago in Sandalwood. Guy and myself where there for the event, and from what I've noticed in researching Rocket's involvement in our region its been the most open and largely public move they've made.
We fear things are just going to get worse, we're not sure what to do, or how to fight back, I hope we don't sound so bold, but we could really use some advice...

Rosie and Friends."

The gear blipped and flashed a message that the message had been sent to the number that Steven had provided the trainers during their previous encounter with the league champion of Hoenn.

To say she wasn't nervous would be a lie, and the fact that it had only been a couple of days since the event with Team Rocket, since she had lost her beloved Vany'n wasn't putting Rosie in a very calm state of mind.

Her tech was placed quickly on the table in front of her, blue eyes staring at it for a few moments, as if waiting for a reply, hoping he would read it.
Her hands folded tightly in her lap.

Rosie and her friends had met in a local Cafe, having all agreed that it would be in their best interest to let Steven know what had happened, and since they had been told to tell him if they found anything out.
She didn't want to call him directly, in case he was busy, and felt that this way was much more polite in contacting him.

After lingering in silence longer then she felt comfortable, Rosie glanced up, to the friends who joined her today, knowing she could find comfort in knowing they were there with her.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 10, 2011 11:11 pm

A pair of blue eyes flickered over to glance at the blonde young woman nearby as she placed the gear on the table in front of her. Those same eyes closed momentarily, then reopened as the owner of the eyes reached for his cup of coffee. So... Rosie had finally sent the message. It really seemed to take a while. Of course, there was a lot to tell, so it was understandable. The corners of Guy's mouth tilted into a small smile as he took a sip of his hot coffee. He cringed slightly as the bitterness of the drink hit is taste-buds, but he tried very hard not to show it. He wasn't terribly used to coffee, but he had always wanted to try it. It was much different than he expected.

Guy sighed softly as he replaced his drink onto the table in front of him. He stretched his arms above his head, then clasped his hands together behind his head. They were finally contacting Steven Stone. The former Champion of the Hoenn region. The words didn't have much significance in Guy's mind, due to him knowing essentially nothing about the League before venturing to Kodo, but he knew that they indeed held a lot of power and responsibility in them. They were words of respect, and from what Guy saw of Steven when they had met at the carnival, the man certainly commanded it. He was someone of significance, and right now they, the trainers, needed his help.

Anonymes, as always, hovered at his master's shoulder, occasionally glancing over at Rosie a short ways away. Poor Miss Rosie... She seemed so sad. She was sad because of her lost Vaporeon, Anon knew. It was so hard to have someone you love lost from you. Anon didn't know that feeling personally, but... He knew. He 'empathized,' to use a word he heard from his master recently. If Master was taken away... Anon didn't know what he would do. Miss Rosie was so strong. She took action. She took things into her own hands. She was so amazing!

As Guy glanced back over to Rosie, he caught her eye and gave her a small, reassuring smile. "So... All we have to do is wait for a reply back, huh? I don't think it should take too long." His eyes drifted down to his coffee cup, then traveled back to Rosie. "After all, how many regular people call someone like Steven Stone? He should be able to tell that it's important." His words sounded strong enough, but Guy himself was slightly concerned and wasn't convinced by his words. He just hoped that Steven would reply as quickly as possible...

They'd already started. She knew what time they were meeting, of course, as they let her know - but why get there on time? Everybody, everybody knew it was so much better to be fashionably late. And if they didn't know, well... Then they just weren't fashionable, that was all. And it made her look that much better, obviously.

With that in mind, Seraphine stepped carefully through the cafe - it wasn't one she would have picked, and she didn't know how often these cretins washed their filthy floors - and, after spying Rosie and Guy, gingerly made her way over while blatantly staring disdainfully at the floor, Anastasia trotting alongside her delicately. Ever the fashionista, she was wearing only the most expensive dress and heels her parents' money could guy, with her luscious hair styled as close to perfect as she could get. "So what's all this about again?" She asked carelessly, leaning down to set Lady Isabella on the floor with a relieved sigh. While the shiny-colored Absol was still a baby, she wasn't nearly as tiny as she'd been when Sera first received her.

Isa sniffed at Anya for a moment when the Umbreon sat on the floor - she'd inspected it thoroughly beforehand, of course, she didn't want a bath when she got home anymore than Isa did - and the pair looked up at the group of trainers, though only Anya was interested. Isa just wanted to make sure neither of them ate her.

Only a few minutes later there was a rattling of the table as Rosie's device buzzed first and then beeped, signaling that she had a new message. She would find that the message was indeed from Steven.

"Miss Rosie,

I've heard all about it and have been doing my own investigation on the matter. It makes me glad that you and your friends are willing to help. We should meet and discuss it further. Where are you?

- Steven Stone

"Da," Dith nodded, rubbing hire forehead and repressing a yawn, "I suppose we do." He hadn't actually spoken to the man at the Spring Jubilee but he was aware enough of his prowess as a trainer, and of course that with his position - or former position - came connections... Humm, and who was this? A girl in a very nice dress who looked as though she had a very nasty smell under her nose. A shiny Absol, too. There was some poor mother or father's hard earned money flowing freely out of her pretty little hands, that was for sure. Still, it wasn't exactly his place to think uncomplimentary things about how people he'd never met chose to raise their daughter.

"Is Team Rocket," Dith said with a nod, "the way things are going... Seems they're just getting worse, so we are hoping to do something about it and Rosie has just contacted Steven Stone, once the champion of Hoenn? Oh and you can call me Dith by the way, nice to meet you...?"

When Guy smiled, Rosie couldn't help but return the gesture with her own, quiet comforting look. It still seemed a bit sadder then was normal for Rosie, but she put forth the effort.
Nodding in agreement to Guy's comment. looking back at her gear.
"He did say to call, I'm sure he won't take to long."

She smiled again, looking up at Guy and his newly evolved pokemon, the adorable Anonymes.

Someone approached the table, and Rosie glanced up to see Seraphine walking over with two of her pokemon out of their ball.
"Sera!" Rosie commented, pushing herself to her feet to go over and greet the girl.
Dith was the first to explain, and Rosie looked over at him as he spoke.
"Oh, Dith, this is my friend Seraphine. We went to the same school together." Rosie said, crouching down to give the Pokemon Seraphine came with a warm greeting.
"And Dith is right, Team Rocket attacked again, we're calling Steven to see-"

Rosie stopped dead, head jerking up when her Gear buzzed back with a message.
The pink and white clad girl rushed back to her seat, and snatched up the Gear, skimming over the message before reading it allowed to everyone.
Then replying with.

"Steven,
Thank you so much for getting back to us so quickly, We all want to do what we can.
We are at a local cafe in Camphoreon on the corner of Main and 5th St. Do you need us to go anywhere?

Rosie"

At the sound of another pair of feet approaching them, Guy paused in mid-sip to glance upward and see who was now among them. He was surprised to see the figure of one of Rosie's friends, one that he met at the carnival. ...What was her name? It didn't automatically pop out in Guy's mind. He knew it was a strange name, or rather, a less common name. ...'Sera'-something. That much was certain, and Guy's assumption was confirmed by Rosie, who met with the young woman gladly. All that Guy remembered of this particular girl was that she sidled up close to him. Very close. Too close. And she was not at all understanding of his particular 'condition.'

Ah yes... He remembered now. Her name was Seraphine. And Guy wasn't very fond of her at all. However, she was Rosie's friend, and she had as much right to be with Rosie as any of them did. That didn't mean that Guy had to like her, though.

Guy gave Dith his attention as the Russian spoke to Seraphine. He admired the man greatly for being civil with her. Now, it was true that Guy had no real experience with Seraphine, and as such, his opinion of her was admittedly premature as far as actual interaction with Seraphine went. He still thought that she could stand to have a few more manners with other people around her. She wasn't the queen of the world, for crying out loud.

"Well, that was fast," Guy commented idly as Rosie's gear buzzed with the arrival of the newest message from Steven. From what his message said, it sounded like he was somewhat nearby. Talking with him in-person might prove to be slightly more effective than simply messaging back and forth.

Anonymes watched the arrival of Seraphine with curious apprehension. That girl... Anon remembered her. Only a little bit, though. She was the rude one at the carnival. She scared his master. How unforgivable. Her Pokemon seemed decent enough, though. That was good. It was sad, too, because Miss Sera seemed so pretty. Her personality didn't seem very pretty, in Anon's opinion. He would never say that to her, though. That just would not do. A gentleman must always be proper and polite with ladies.

There certainly was a nice group of them now, wasn't there? Rosie, and... that guy at the carnival whose name she didn't bother to remember because he was so weird, and that... that insanely tall giant.. person. Thing. ...he had to be some sort of mutant because normal people didn't come that tall. Being the tactless queen of lack-of-subtlety, she nonchalantly studied (read - blatantly criticized) the giant and the weird guy before focusing on Rosie instead. "It's nice to see you again," she said honestly. Or as honestly as she could, being the spoiled little brat that she was.

Enough pleasantries, even though she'd barely even managed those. "What do you mean they 'attacked'?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest and swaying her hips to one side, giving the technical device they were using a skeptical glance. "How much of a problem can they be? I haven't heard much about them." Then again, that was no surprise - the only news she was aware of was in the fashion industry.

As the little girl looked down her nose at him, Dith gave a lopsided grin and a very brief chuckle. Well, he quite felt like the fly in her ice cream! Or maybe he was the scruffy vagrant at her black tie dinner: given her get up he doubted she thought much of worn jeans and a faded Zelda t-shirt. Well, either she would grow out of it or she would grow lonely; as it wasn’t her fault that she had grown up so snooty he hoped for the former.

“That was fast,” he agreed, with a nod to Guy raising his eyebrows slightly and taking a sip of coffee. “I must admit, I did not expect somebody so famous to trouble so much. I suppose it was unfair of me to think that having not met him though.” In any case, they had a reply and hopefully they’d soon have another to whatever Rosie was sending back.

“Will you sit down then, Miss Seraphine?” Dith asked politely with a small smile for the girl. “Although we may not be here for very long, would you care for a drink or something to eat? Their coffee is quite good, and their leetle cinnamon pasty whirl things are very nice.” ‘Leetle’, in this case, was relative: most people would probably have considered them ‘generous’ or even ‘large’. Dith had already had two, and his stomach certainly wouldn’t object to another. Well too bad stomach; the only thing on the menu from now until lunch was fruit, but he wasn’t rude enough to eat his own food inside somewhere that sold food so stomach would also have to wait until they went outside. Stomach was not especially pleased about this, but then what else was new?...

How much of a problem? Oh dear, she didn’t pay very much attention to the world did she? Raising his eyebrows again, Dith commented; “Perhaps you need to listen a leetle more? The contest they crashed? It was all over the news, and still is to a degree. They also made themselves known at a formal ball a while back now, a girl was killed.” A girl had been murdered, and she didn’t see what the big problem was. Her supposed friend had lost a precious pokemon and it didn’t occur to her that Team Rocket needed to be dealt with. The mind really boggled, what had her parents been teaching her, or indeed not teaching her? He was still trying not to place too much blame on her young shoulders, but it was hard to feel friendly towards somebody so self-centred even if it was down to the way she had been raised.

If being late was fashionable, then Izumi would be the trendiest person at the cafe. With the combination of traffic and distraction from the strange emptiness left in the passenger seat with her friend missing, the mechanic had gotten turned around a few times.

The blue haired girl walked through the cafe door with a little jingle from the bell hanging overhead. She started to walk over to the group, but stalled when she saw just how many of them there were. That was a lot of people... and one vaguely familiar girl that brought an uncomfortable feeling to mind. Izumi briefly considered turning and leaving for the safety and seclusion of her shop... but she'd said she'd come... and it sounded important.

"U-um... h-hi..." Izumi squeaked out as she timidly approached the group.

Once the message was send, and Rosie folded her gear into her hands, looking up at Guy and nodding in agreement "Thank goodness to." She breathed, fingers tightening on her pink custom trainers equipment,
She wasn't sure what he was going to reply, but it was probably a good idea to relax for the time being, get some tea, or coffee, some sweets. Dith certainly had the best idea for that. she had already watched him enjoy more then she herself could consume.
It made her smile.
The topic that was brought up however, did not make her smile.

"Dith is right... people have lots their lives becasue of Team Rocket, more were hurt, They even hurt Dith, I don't think anyone died yesterday, thank goodness.." Rosie cast a look down at the Pokemon that were around Seraphine, her eyelids drooping slightly, with something of a worried expression. Seraphine needed to take this seriously, with Pokemon like hers... she needed to.

The door opened again, when When Rosie looked up, she pushed herself to her feet, seeing who the girl was.
The young Women Rosie had met before, one who had also lost a pokemon just a couple short days ago.
"Izumi" Rosie offered a seat to her "Thank you for coming. we Just got in contact with Steven, we're waiting for his reply."
The poor women, someone that right now Rosie could relate with the most.

Guy was not so impolite as to glare at Miss Seraphine while she so rudely looked him and Dith up and down before she blatantly ignored them and turned her full attention to Rosie. When she did turn away, the blond sighed and patted Anonymes' head absently as the Lampent cuddled up against his cheek. At the very least, Guy could always depend on Anonymes to be friendly to him. His love was unconditional, unlike some...

At the young woman's ignorant commentary on the Team Rocket attacks, Guy's expression hardened and his hand moved over to tightly grasp the sword-hilt at his hip. There was a small sense of comfort that he received when he held his sword. This sword that had tasted blood not long ago... Not long ago at all. That man Asch, he was a real danger. He threatened Miss Rosie's life. He stole one of her precious Pokemon. He was as confusing as he was mysterious, and Guy knew he had to meet him again, one day. He needed to know why. ...Oh, Team Rocket was dangerous, all right.

Guy glanced over to Dith as he explained just how much of a problem the syndicate was to Seraphine. One of the last details he mentioned caught Guy off guard, however. "Wait: someone was killed? I had no clue that happened!" His blue eyes were wide with shock, and Anonymes hovered next to him, his golden eyes looking very sad. That was just... savage! A girl was murdered... and Seraphine didn't think that they were a problem. What exactly were this child's priorities?!

The sound of the small bell in the doorway announced the arrival of another trainer to add to the growing menagerie. Guy glanced over to see who it was and recognized the woman who stood nervously nearby as the blue-haired one who was at the Pokemon Center with them after the Contest fiasco. Was she one of the ones whose Pokemon were stolen as well...? Guy didn't recall. All he knew as that she was the one with the strange metal arm, which, now that Guy could see it somewhat closer, looked fascinating and complicated. It reminded Guy wistfully of how much he wanted to start practicing mechanics again. He smiled at the young woman - Izumi, if Rosie was to be trusted, which Guy did completely - in greeting.

Anonymes looked over to where Miss Rosie was sitting. She looked so sad and alone... Poor Miss Rosie. She shouldn't feel alone. Everyone was here! Everyone cared about Miss Rosie. Anon cared about Miss Rosie, too. A lot. She shouldn't be sad! He should make her happy! Yes. That was what he would do. With much effort on his part, the Lampent removed himself from his master's side and floated happily over to Rosie, wrapping his arms around her in a large hug. A hug would make her feel better. Hugs made everything better. Anon then noticed another human nearby Miss Rosie. He remembered her. She was the odd-looking one. But that was not polite of him. She was the unique one. Yes. Much more polite. Although the Ghost-type did not have a mouth, his eyes seemed to smile as he waved hello to Izumi.

Sera pursed her painted lips, arms folded over her chest. That weird girl had joined them, and they were all just looking at her, as if she was one of those people everybody hated. Obviously she wasn't one of those people, so it must've been something else. Maybe they were just jealous - that was probably it. In response to Dith's question of her sitting, she looked around disdainfully before pulling a luxury ball from a small bag that nearly blended in with her dress. In a flash of white, a black Beldum appeared. "Mordecai, go clean off that chair for me," she ordered absently, waving him away. With an excited whirr, the Beldum instantly zoomed off to do as he was told with vigor. He loved serving his mistress!

Mention of a formal ball - formal balls meant fancy expensive dresses, and Sera was all over those - where a girl was killed brought up vague memories, and her brows rose. "Oh, the PokeBall?" She piped in, arms lowering. "My parents went to that - they were both invited - and told me all about it. I was hoping Mother would tell me about all the dresses the women wore, but when they came back they could only talk about what happened." Humph, and she had been so looking forward to hearing about the dresses... "And," she added, looking pointedly at Dith, "they said - and the news people confirmed - that Team Rocket didn't kill that girl. It was someone else who wanted to assassinate that royal guy who was visiting." Duh. People could be so dumb sometimes.

"So," she turned as Mordecai dragged a chair over that looked like it was brand new, and Seraphine sat in it without a second thought of the pokemon that brought it over - not that he seemed at all upset by this - then asked, "what happened at the contest?"

"Dum!" Mordecai said.

"Oh- T-thanks..." Izumi took a seat as the familiar girl let out a pokemon she was very familiar with. She stared at it as it floated off to clean the chair that wasn't the least bit dirty. It reminded her of her beldum, who she missed terribly. When Sera asked what happened at the contest, Izumi bit her lip to keep from starting up the tears again.
