Kharn approaches the lake in a round about way staying up wind of it watching and waiting, sniffing the air.
'Seems like a very good place. At least they don't expect me to live indoors. Water, trees for shelter and *sniff,sniff,sniffffff* ...game perhaps and ....flowers?', he thinks to himself.
Assured that this place is safe he finds a nicely sheltered spot near the north part of the lake with a variety of flowers and plants nearby. This is a good spot. Wind will come through the vale from this dirrection, Soft grass and moss by those rocks. Close enough to the water, far enough back sloping up to those rocks will prevent flooding.This is a most adequate den. He looks around the larger rocks in the back and finds a boulder that shifts a little.
'A small cave! excellent for the worser weather. A very good spot indeed', he thinks. entering in he digs a hole to store his few treasures and then covers it back up dragging in some leaves and and branches for a bed before he spreads out his crude sleeping bag and furs.
"Damn, body. Not enough pelt", he grumbles to himself. "Well I'll be warm enough here now. I suppose I should see the rest of the school and get familiar with it. Never been in a people 'school' before. No idea where to start. Hmmm, well lets see where everyones tracks lead."
Kharn leaves the Lake.

He walks towards the lake as it was a cold and frosty morning. his hands were ice cold and the ground he walked on was all frosted with white. The bench was covered in frost and looked to cold to sit in. The trees were going red and orange as the season ends of Fall and begins Winter. He saw his own breathe in front of him. He wagged his Hellhound tail as he was excited Winter and cold was here.

Kharn leads the way into the area surrounding the lake. He stops and takes a few sniffs. "We are alone here at the moment." He stops and takes a deep breath of the cool clear winter air and smiles happily. He closes his eyes and stretches and shakes his head. "I like the school but there is something about this place that lets me feel... relaxed." Kharn turns to elena and points to a place near the end of the lake. "I have claimed that area as my territory. Would you care to see it? I hope the ice and snow isn't a bother for you. When we get there I shall make a fire if you like."

Elena looks around smelling the earth that surrounds her. She nods her head to Kharn to lead her to his territory. "The air is fine but if you wish to make a fire then sure I'll take your offer on it." Elena smiled at him.

Kharn nods and leads the way. His 'home' is a sheltered spot on the north side of the lake by some big rocks with a small cave in them. "Well this is my territory. Please make yourself comfortable...Hmm..."
Kharn looks around and ducks into his small den and comes out with a few pelts from his 'bed'. He grins a little sheepishly at Elena and then lays them ontop of a rock to form a 'seat' for her. Then he starts gathering together dry leaves and tinder and places them in a small stone ring he has constructed for using to make fires in. Soon he has a small fire going and goes back in to come out with some more furs. "Sometimes I miss having a pelt of my own the most," He says as he wraps one about his own shoulders and offers another to Elena. "It is not much but please, be welcome and make yourself at home."

Elena followed Kharn to his "home" and noticed a little cave, hidden among rocks.
Elena sat on the "seat" that Kharn made and took the fur he offered her and wrapped it around herself. "Thank you. I've never been in a cave before, atleast not like a home. This will be the first. It's nice."

Kharn grins happily. "I'm glad you like it, Elena-friend!" He turns to look out at the lake. "I like this place. It makes me feel more comfortable here... like I am my old self again. I like the school also but there is something... different about this place."

Elena watches Kharn a bit. "Perhaps it's becuse you're used to living out here in the woods so it feels more like home to you."

Kharn nods. "You could be right. It is... dificult to be two things and neither sometimes." He shrugs. "But it dosen't feel that way here. The air is clean, the sky is wide and..." He pauses and breathes deeply satisfied as his eyes almost glow with his happiness at what he sees as he looks up. "...And the moon is beautiful! I am glad I could share this with you Elena."

Elena smiled and nodded her head at Kharn. "I'm glad you feel like you can share things with me." She looked at the moon then the lake that held the moon's reflection.
