That evening after putting away the results of her last shopping trip Cordelia Carden had pulled out her phone, turned on the radar... And watched. She watched and waited until it caught on to one blip, followed by another... And another. One by one she watched little things move across the screen; waiting as some faded, pausing for just a bit longer as others grew stronger.

When she found one that seemed like it would pose enough of a challenge she slid out of the house, henshining up before sending a text to Sailor Arachne.

Incoming Message: Ready whenever you are. Meet @ the following coordinates. Looks like fun.

He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and grinned as he saw who the message was from. Youma fight and the chance to stare at Corvus' rack meant it was going to be a really good night.

Incoming Message: On my way.

He checked the location before taking off toward the building that was close to where Corvus said she would be. Either the youma was in the building using it as a base or it would be in the mass of alley ways around there. Either way it wasn't going to be a really nice place to try to corner a creature.

Corvus was perched on a nearby fire escape, stormy eyes watching the building that the little blip had been coming from. She hadn't seen any movement on the outside and could only assume from there that the youma was on the inside; an empty warehouse or an old studio somehow making a perfect nest... Squatters for snacks, the occasional stupid student wandering into the creepy building on a dare while walking through the wrong part of town, why wouldn't it be in there?

She flipped open her phone, checking her messages once more for any further updates before running her fingers back through her hair, not liking the idea of waiting any more than she had to. "C'mooon..."

It had taken him slightly longer than expected to get across to where Corvus had said she wanted to meet him. He had to swing around a group of students who were doing some kind of video project that he didn't' want to get caught in. He did make it though and looked up at Corvus from where he'd come around the building's corner.

"... Love the view." He grinned. "So i take it the youma's inside?"

"You're such a pervert." Her eyes narrowed into a glare but she didn't move, knowing that the various ruffles did enough to conceal what was under her skirt even if the rest of her attire gave an ample enough view of her legs up to her thigh. That was all the glance she gave him, though, eyes returning to her phone to gauge the movement again.

"I'm assuming so... At least if this thing is accurate. You're the youma pro. What do your spider senses tell you?"

"That taking on something that's probably large in a space like that isn't the best of choices." He grinned as he looked around at the side of the building. At least there were windows they could get in so they wouldn't have to worry about trying to break down a door. After finding what he hoped was a good one he vaulted up onto the fire escape then over to the small windowsill.

"The big ones are generally more fun though."

"Remind me one of these nights to tell you about the rave dragon." She murmured as she bounded after him, landing precariously on the sill as she relied on what grace she had developed as a senshi to keep herself steady. "Talk about taking on a large youma in a warehouse environment... At least if it's big it won't have as much room to move? Nevermind that the bigger they are the harder they fall." Another lesson she had learned the hard way.

"The bigger it is the less room we have to move too. Best place to take a youma is somewhere you've got a good amount of space to move in. Getting them to chase you out into the open works."

Odds were though if the youma was inside an empty building there was a reason and it wasn't likely to come out after them. He pushed the window open with a foot, glad it was a swing one, and carefully slipped inside. ".... smells like something's been living in here"

"This side of town gets a lot of squatters. Battles between powered individuals destroy buildings and this," she waved her hand at the building briefly before stepping after him once more, "is what we're left with. I know there are shelters, but... Some people are too proud, others are too crazy." Why anyone would want to live in a creepy building like this was completely beyond her. Completely.

"... And then there's the youma." She murmured softly, shivering slightly as she heard something move over in the far corner of the room. Corvus would rather fight against a Captain or General of the Negaverse than go against one of their youma. People had flaws, battle patterns, other weaknesses that could be exploited... In her experience, youma were animal instinct, rage and destruction. They weren't things to be trifled with, especially not when one could maul her before she could even get her first attack off.

"Do you know what the youma are?" He looked around at what he could see of the inside of the building with the bit of light that filtered in. There were emergency lights further toward the floor but up here it was mostly shadows on top of shadows. "I'm sure you do but, just in case."

The youma had to know they were there and since it hadn't jumped them the moment they appeared it had to be a smarter one. Just what he needed to teach Corvus how to take them down. She sure knew how to pick'em.

"Corruption. That's what they are; blights that need to be eradicated." They were disgusting, vile creatures with little to no sense beyond their hunger unless they were being controlled... And the ones that were being controlled were generally just as dangerous if not more so because they had someone directing their rampages.

"Tell me why I let you talk me into this, again?" She muttered, eyes narrowed and alert. Never mind that she had been the one to send the text that evening.

"They're people .... or they're what happens to people with their star seeds are gone." At least that's what Benitonite had told him. "They're not just disgusting monsters that need to be destroyed. They're people that need to be freed from the poison that the Negaverse has brought upon them."

He grinned slightly at that. He liked the wording. It made it sound all poetic when usually it was just nasty monsters, bruises, and sadly for him usually slime.

"Because you need to learn how to fight them. They're just as much of a threat as the negaverse and if you ignore them they'll just reproduce like rats"

"There is no freeing them, Arachne. Defeating them, yes, but the only one I've ever heard could do anything close to redeeming anyone was a princess; one that some of us have spent years looking for. Not all Senshi are a destructive force... Once upon a time there were some of us who could heal." Her brow furrowed as memories of the Doom Tree and its tales of the White Moon Princess tried to come to the front of her mind. Those memories, as strong as they were, always brought other memories with them; memories of friends lost and the things that had broken her.

"Until a means of purifying them can be found, they are disgusting monsters that need to be destroyed. What made them people, human, is gone. Their starseeds are corrupted beyond any repair that you or I can make; warped into energy hungry beasts... And as you've just said, it's up to us to keep them from reproducing like rats."

"You look at it how you want honey. I'm going to call dusting them freeing them in a way." He shrugged. "If you want to be all doom and gloom about it that's your problem." They could only do what they had the power to do. Holding onto such black and white notions wasn't going to be useful to anyone. "Every person, even you and me, has the instincts they run on buried in them. We could become them so easily." He grinned at her for a moment before picking up a small chunk of broken metal and throwing it toward where they could still here a few sounds.

There was a dull thud before a growl of annoyance. "I think we found our beastie."

"No, we can't. I won't." It was black and white in that aspect. The offer to 'become one of them' had been made to her and she had turned it down; not because it had seemed like a bad idea, because at the time it hadn't. It would have been a blessing to be able to forget... But it would have been wrong.

At the very least, Corvus was now irritated enough to want to fight; a good start, considering their objective for the evening. "Alright then, Arachne, since we're doing things your way tonight... Let's free it."
