It was nearly dark as She-Ra led her captive along a rock covered trail, only the light of the moon illuminated the path enough to see where they were going. So far there had been no signs of a rescue party coming to save the mare and She-Ra doubted there would be. Only a fool would come galloping into this area in the middle of the night. The knowledge that a purewalker lived here was probably enough to deter any from coming even near here. Even so, she would be sure to double back and ensure no one had followed her after the mare had been delivered to Pirata. The slow and stead foot fall that came from behind her told her the mare was still exhausted, this worked in her favor as it made the delivery quite uneventful - boring but still worth her efforts. She did not think or care for what Pirata would do with this mare, she may very well be fed to the spiders or turned into some type of slave, through at the rate Supreme tired She-Ra doubted she would be able to do much as a slave.

Giving the rope in her teeth a jerk She-Ra changed directions turning down another path. This one was short, and Pirata's normal spot was just up ahead. Along the edges of the path were scraggly bushes whose twisted branches stuck out into the path, reaching out to snag at the mares tails or even cut into their flesh if they were not careful. To She-Ra's eyes the lands were perfect, there was no need for lush meadows and leaf filled trees. Here there was just enough food for the few inhabitants to survive on and not much else. But such was the ways of life. They did not need the luxuries that the meadows and forests held, not when they were too busy planning and training to bother with such things. Soon enough her Master would make his move and those lush lands would be claimed in his name and there he would built an even greater army before sweeping over the remaining lands.

With a glance back at Supreme the golden haired mare smiled, but not in a friendly manner. "Cheer up, this is your new home." With a jerk of her head and thus the rope She-Ra turned her attention back to the path. They were almost at the small area Pirata stayed in. If the mare wasn't here then they would just wait for her to return from her swampy home before being given her gift.

Supreme felt like she had been on this death march for days..it had only been hours she knew but even so she was not used to such a journey..and one mostly uphill to boot. The pale mare in front of her might be able to see well in this vanishing light but Supreme could not and more then once she stumbled over stray rocks or uneven ground. This always seemed to irritate the mare leading her and the frequent jerks on the line did not help with the mares balance. There were several times that she nearly fell to her knees barely keeping her balance and quite sure that the pale mare would simply drag her if she did fall.

It was a cruel looking place that she was being lead into and Supreme did not think it would look any better in the daylight - it would probably look worse. Harsh and sharp, a place meant for evil things and certainly no place for a mare such as she. Not that she had any choice in the matter..still she did her best to recall the path taken, despite the twists and turns behind them in the off chance that an opportunity for escape might present itself once they reached whatever destination this mare had for them. "It is an ugly place" She responded to the mare in a sullen voice, mentally adding what she was not quite brave enough to say out loud 'just like you', fore despite the mares outward beauty Supreme was now quite sure that her soul was black and ugly as coal.

Stumbling once more as the mare jerked on the rope again Supreme cursed slightly as she dropped momentarily to one knee, scrapping the sensitive skin and no doubt bruising the bone. Regaining her feet she took a quick stride to catch up before the pale mares momentum ahead of her caused another jerk on the rope and likely another fall on her part.

A drumming of legs along her back caught Pirata's attention as she hummed eerie lullaby's to her favored pets, both plant and arachnid alike. Darkness was closing in on the rocky abode she liked to call her second home - the place she took up residence in when she grew weary of the swamp and the mutant stallion who lived there. She had her used for the mutant stallion of course and one of them had recently come to fruition - though she had yet to tell She-ra of the impending future additions to her troops. "Whats that my pets?" She crooned at the agitated spiders on her back - her two favored pets - "Someone is coming?"

Turning about the mare faced the pathway "How perfectly delightful that shall be" She went on softly before picking her way over the bones and rocks which littered the floors of her stone fortress to take a quick peek over the edge. "Delightful indeed" She murmured as she caught sight of the returning soquili and the dark shape following her. "Perhaps a new snack my pets...or someone to clean this mess up" She declared in a pleasant voice as she kicked the remains of some poor beast out of her way "You are messy pets" She told the spiders sweetly..

A smile grew on She-Ra's lips as she heard the mares words. Of course she would think it ugly. Those stupid weak blooded fools rarely saw anything but seas of green, anything that wasn't green was deemed ugly and useless. It really made no difference to her plans, even if they mare though it was the most beautiful place in all the lands She-Ra would see to delivering her to Pirata as a gift and then be off to do whatever was needed of her at the time. Her smile grew wider as the mare stumbled behind her, letting out a curse as he knee scrapped the ground before regaining her hooves beneath her. Such a pity, she would have liked to drag her along for a bit. Ah well, they were almost to their destination anyways, so there would have been little joy to dragging her for only a foot or two.

Spotting Pirata up ahead She-Ra pulled her cargo forward and came to a stop in front of the spider loving mare. "Pirata" She said with a slight dip of her head, showing respect to her mentor. A quick glance at the spiders on the mares back told She-Ra they were agitated, though from what it was hard to tell, perhaps they didn't like this intruder standing before them. "I have something for you." She stated though that was quite obvious, why else would she had brought the mare here instead of to her Master or elsewhere. "She has terrible stamina and lacks a fighting spirit, such is to be expected of course, but I'm sure you can find some use for her." Pet food, slave, something to toy with, there were several possibilities for the mare. She-Ra glanced at the ground and noticed a carcass that looked to be freshly picked clean, in fact the ground here was practically littered by corpses of poor beasts. "They seem to be extra hungry lately." She idly commented, in all her time spent with Pirata she had never seen the arachnids so ravenous before. Perhaps it meant something, but what She-Ra didn't know.

If Supreme thought the landscape before this was a terrible and cruel place then it was with shock that she stared upon the mare and her lair ahead, she shuddered at the waving limbs of the giant spiders on the mares back, the many faceted eyes of both the mare and her charges glimmering in the moonlight - an unnatural beast, cursed...demon...Supreme couldn't quite find the words to describe the mare ahead. Frightening..that seemed to be the best choice of words.

"Please!" She squeaked in terror to the pale mare before her "Please don't leave me here with..with that..thing" She finished, her voice trailing off at the end until the word thing was hardly heard at all. Backing up a few steps Supreme but as many steps between herself and the monster ahead as the rope would allow her to do. It was unthinkable, to stay here and while she couldn't see around the pale mare that held her the scent of blood told her all she really wanted to know. There were dead things ahead and Supreme wondered if she would soon join them. Her legs trembled not only from fear..but from the strain of the fight and journey before hand, she had not the strength to fight, but even throwing herself off a cliff seemed preferable to staying with these mares at the moment.

Pirata completely ignored the mares stuttering and pleading - it was incredibly unbecoming and instead blinked her many faceted eyes at her prodigy. "A gift?" She purred at the golden mare "How lovely. I am in need of a slave or two...as surely you have risen far above the need to lower yourself to such base chores" She complimented the mare. Of course Pirata herself would never lower herself to doing such menial tasks either...and so despite the initial desire to feel the panicking mare to her spiders, it would be so much fun to watch her scream and squirm within one of their great webs - such a fate was not to be so. Perhaps when she was old or lamed and had no more use. A future prospect to think upon.

"She will require breaking in of course..I have no desire to be chasing her down every few night when she decides to try and escape" Indeed it was likely she would have to keep her tied the majority of the time and supervise her at her chores until she learned the way of things around here. "At least with her terrible stamina, we know she won't get far in these hills" Pirata cackled at her own joke while the spiders on her back bared their fangs and waved their legs about. It was hard to tell if the beasts were laughing with Pirata or merely in an ill temper this eve. "They sense change is in the air" Pirata told She-ra "and like many predators seek to stock up their stores before hand "

As Supreme backed up in fear She-Ra stood firm letting the rope go taunt. She knew the mare wouldn't be able to free herself even if she wanted to. Hearing those words set a bolt of anger through She-Ra and she gave the rope on solid and forceful tug, it was enough to knock the mare to the ground. "Stop your sniveling. That thing as you so put it is your new master, and this is your new home. Learn to accept that." She practically growled at the chestnut mare. Slowly she turned her attention back to Pirata. That compliment was not lost on the golden haired mare. It was rare for Pirata to say such things so She-Ra took it as a sign that she had proven herself and was one step closer to becoming her Master's ultimate weapon. Of course she would still serve Pirata as she always had, performing chores if necessary.

A wicked grin crossed her lips. "It will be quite easy to break her." For a moment she glanced back at the captive mare, no there wouldn't be much to breaking her, she may be fearful of these new lands and this new arrangement but she would learn quickly enough that it was this or end up as food to her Master. "She would be a damned fool if she tried to escape. I doubt she would have much of a chance if Master caught her, though she would make a nice snack for him of course, a purewalker has to eat plenty after all." That little tidbit of information should be enough to ensure the mare wouldn't run, but nonetheless She-Ra would keep her eye out just in case Supreme tried to push her luck. She-Ra nodded slowly to Pirata. She didn't know what change the spiders had sensed, whether it was the new arrival or something else, but she understood. "I can hunt something up for them if you wish." She offered as her eyes swept over the spiders as they drummed their legs along Pirata's back.

A thought crossed her mind for a moment. "Will you require my assistance in breaking her?" She would be not opposed to doing things, and Pirata would know that if Baraccus came called his orders were more important to She-Ra than breaking in this new slave.

Supreme let out a fearful yelp as the sudden jerk on the rope sent her crashing to the ground, part of her hoped that she had angered the mare enough to have her kill her outright. Surely death was preferable then being the spider mares slave as was being implied. But it did not seem to be so as after only a few choice words the pale mare seemed to forget about her and turned her attention back to the spider mare...who was her master of some sort Supreme was gathering. pulling her feet back underneath her Supreme scrambled to her feet, heaving slightly with the effort that required of her already tired body.

She remained silent as the other two talked, Accept it? How was one to accept such a thing as this? Her life was composed of green grass and meadows and gentle treatment, not rocks and spiders and devilish looking creatures who called themselves Soquili. Her thought touched on Lolly, Would she ever see her goat friend again? Likely not and Supreme was strangely grateful of that fact...she doubted the goat would have been anything but food for the spiders in the eyes of these mares. Her thoughts were interrupted by the mention of a purewalker and Supreme felt her mouth go dry, it was bad enough to be in the care of these two but purewalkers were the things of nightmares...if they didn't eat you outright then they turned you into monsters like they were. The mare quaked slightly where she stood, escape it seemed might be further way then she had initially thought.

Pirata ignored the mare as she was disciplined - indeed she would soon learn her place in this new world she found herself in. "Mistress, I believe is the word you would be looking for to replace..thing" She purred at the mare quaking on the end of her lead. Slinking closer if only to further torment the brown mare and blinking her many faceted eyes wickedly. "Such pretty bows in her hair" The blue mare proclaimed sweetly before she drew back "they will soon turn to rot up here" She added.

Turning about she nosed her spiders gently before turning her attention back to She-ra "They ate not long ago" she informed the golden mare "Poor little canid creature thought it a fine thing to hunt one such as myself!" The mare cackled gleefully, the creatures of this land could be so very stupid sometimes. "But you may help with the mare if you'd like..it is obvious you have already established some sort of a rapport with her" She added, casting a look at the brown mare once more, she was afraid enough of the golden mare for Pirata to know that She-ra must have beat her quite soundly during the capture.

She-Ra smirked as she watched Pirata move close to the brown mare. Surely the creature was on the verge of a heart attack with all that had and was happening to her, or at the very least likely wishing for death to take her. But death would not come to the mare, not yet at least. Granting this mare death would be a reward not a punishment, no she would need to remain alive for a while now. At least until Pirata became bored with her, then the mares fate would be at the spiders mercy more than likely. Such was the way things went in this land and She-Ra did not question what Pirata or her Master did.

Letting out a laugh She-Ra shook her head. "Some creatures were bred with no intelligence at all. Clearly that one was among them." She motioned to the recently devoured carcass. She herself had had one or two encounters with lesser creatures who thought her an easy meal. Just because she did not possess claws or fangs did not mean she would fall over at the first sight of a predator and submit to death. She-Ra was a warrior, trained her entire life to be so, and so she fought and won. Letting out a satisfied grunt She-Ra eyed the brown mare. "It would be my pleasure to help break her." Turning she took a step towards the exhausted mare. "I think we got along quite well at the beginning didn't we Supreme." She said mockingly in the sweet and friendly tone she had used to gain the mares trust. Then just to taunt her she let the rope fall. Really she just wanted to see if the mare would be foolish enough to try to run or even just show a glimmer of hope in those eyes of hers.

Her nose wrinkled slightly as the blue mare and her terrible pets slunk closer, she dare not take a step backwards however as not only was she uncomfortably close to the cliffs edge but she was quite sure that She-ra, the golden mare, wouldn't allow her too. Instead she merely pulled her head back a bit so as to put as much distance between herself and the mares unnerving multiple eyes as possible...not to mention those spiders whose waving legs made her absolutely cringe.

"Of course" She stated blandly to the mares comments seeing no point in further antagonizing her captors and earning herself another punishment. Of course that was before She-ra spoke and at her words Supreme flattened her ears "That was a lie, you cannot imply we got along when you did nothing but lie, there was no truth in the situation" She snapped back, quite forgetting for the moment that she was supposed to be playing the part of meek captive. As the rope fell Supreme's eyes glanced quickly towards the path she had been lead up, it was so tantalizingly close and oh how her legs ached to make a run for it...but she was fairly certain that such an attempt was exactly what She-ra wanted from her and she herself knew that she was far too tired from her travels to make a proper escape attempt so she turned her gaze away from the path and stared grudgingly at the ground.
PostPosted: Mon Dec 05, 2011 9:33 am

"Perhaps the mare is smarter then she at first seemed" Pirata remarked as she watched the captive contemplate and then decide not to make a run for it. She would make a run for it someday - of that Pirata was sure but for the moment it seemed as though for the moment she was willing to accept her situation.

It was a pity really - the day would have been far more interesting if she had decided to run, Pirata could then have whiled away the hours watching She-ra teach her the errors of her ways. Ah well..that day would come of that Pirate was sure. "I have a mind to use her as bait for a time" The blue mare proclaimed as she walked about Supreme "imagine what good she would do in luring others into ambushes? Her calling for help and you and your soon to be generals simply waiting to slaughter them all" The mare concluded, cackling with glee at the very thought of it all.

"Those lies were enough to fool you into thinking I was helpless. To have you leave the safety of your herd when dark was approaching. Those lies were only the beginning little one." The mare said mockingly, angered at Supreme's outburst. "Your happy life was a lie. Now you see the truth. Life isn't what you thought it was, and soon others will see things as they are." Her Master would make sure of that. Once Barracus moved everyone in his path would know that their time of care free loving lives were over. Misery and suffering would replace everything the knew until death took them. A small laugh escaped her as she watched Surpreme's eyes instantly move towards the path as the rope fell. "Go ahead pretty, try and run." If she did she wouldn't get far. Between herself, Pirata and especially her Master the mare wouldn't make it down to that first turn before she was captured once more.

Turning her attention back to Pirata the golden haired mare smiled. "The role of bait suits her well." Imagine all those foolish Soquli out there coming to the mares aid not knowing what lurked in the shadows. Of course Pirata's next words caught her attention. "And what generals would that be?" As far as she knew Master had not instructed for any underlings to be put under She-Ra's charge. Perhaps this was Pirata's doing only, but it begged the question just who would these generals be?
PostPosted: Mon Dec 05, 2011 9:51 am

Supreme snorted slightly, the mares words were partially true and yet somewhere inside of her she also knew they were a lie - if only in the fact that Supreme knew that there was kindness in the world as well, no matter what this mare intended to prove to her..and did not good always defeat evil in the end? It was a thought that she would cling to for however long she had to remain here she told herself - it would give her something to think upon when everything else tried to prove others wise.

"I will never do such a thing" She stated as they mentioned using her for bait - like she would ever agree to help these awful creatures and doom more of her kind to such a fate. It was absurd. "You can't make me, I'd rather die" She concluded fiercely, eyeing the both of them in turn.

Pirata laughed at the mares outburst, a dark and eerie sound that floated over the mountains and echoed against the rock. The laughter cut off sharply however and she turned a dark gaze upon the brown mare, eyes narrowed. Her spiders as though sensing their masters anger hissed and bore their tiny fangs at the mare. "You will soon change your mind I think" Pirata told Supreme before turning to nuzzle and soother her restless pets.

"Take her and tie her somewhere" She instructed She-ra "Somewhere..unpleasant" She added almost as an after thought. Of the golden mares question she said nothing - it seemed that whomever Pirata had in mind for the position she was not yet quite willing to reveal them - or perhaps she had yet to locate them. It was hard to tell sometimes with the blue mare. Without further words or instructions Pirata turned and headed off down the pathway. "I go to visit the swamp..I am low on several herbs" She told the golden mare over her shoulder. Of course there was someone there she wished to speak with as well..though she did not mention him.
