She needed more supplies, while she made her own ink she needed to buy some of the components every now and again and sometimes she buys extra vials just in case of an emergency and she needed some for a project. Lattice didn't like how unpredictable inks were when she didn't make them herself they always made life more difficult than they needed to be and took longer to appease whatever silly little thing it wanted.

Honestly.

Lattice padded her way into a shop that boasted that they had everything that she was looking for and would need including specialty paper and the like. They also offered fountain pens, brushes, and other little tidbits for those interested in a hobby like calligraphy. The ghoul wandered around staring at the inks that stood out in their little vials. "Hmm, they seem good quality," she murmured to herself.

Who would have thought the the cowboil reaper like calligraphy? Well, he did. Out of the things his mother forced him to learn, that happened to be one he actually enjoyed. So when he ran out of ink doing some homework, he took himself to the only store he knew of that had what he needed.

Mot strolled into the shop, immediately sensing the presence of Lattice, the ghoul from his room invasion. He didn't much have a liking of ghosts, but he always gave them the benefit of the doubt. He was here with a purpose. Based on the ghoul's tattoos, she knew ink.

"Howdy, little lady." Mot nodded to the ghoul, tipping his hat as he approahced. "Shopping?"

She startled just a little mostly because she'd been so focused moments before Mot came up to her. The ghoul tilted her head toward him and offered a shy nod, "H..Hello, yes. I am," she offered Mot small smile before she turned her head back toward the inks and things before her. Lattice had recognized his voice; he must think awful things of her.

The fact that she wandered into his room and then everyone was there and...Oh dear.

Lattice reached over picking up a container of ink, "W..What about you? Are you here to shop as well...?"

Mot held no ill will to Lattice or any other visitor he had that day. He`d been in a sour mood, and unfortunately was not mentally prepared for the sudden influx of guests. Fate had been cruel that afternoon.

Mot tilted his head and followed the ghoul. Normally he gave some ghosts the cold shoulder if he didn't know them, but for students he made an exception. "I am. I'm in need of more ink for writing." His eyes looked her over. She did look a lot like Needle. Perhaps she was her twin? More than likely. For now he kept this to himself.

She seemed to perk up quite a bit when the boil mentioned he was seeking to buy ink. Maybe this was a good way to redeem herself for the intrusion she had made upon his domain, not that she did it on purpose. Lattice paused a little as she tilted her head toward him once again, "Maybe I can help you? I ...It is...sort of my specialty."

Lattice always enjoyed all aspects of ink from mixing it to using it though she exerted a bit too much control over it at times.

The ghoul blinked behind her mask a little before she shyly added, "My name is Lattice..I am not sure you caught that from when we last saw each other..."

"Oh yeah? Well I'd be happy to get help from an expert." Mot didn't think ink buying would be all that difficult, but there was always a problem of quality. Who better to help than someone who dealt with ink like she did?

"Oh, Lattice? A lovely name. Do forgive me, I was not at my best that day, or I would have been a better host." Mot said with his usual charm. Lattice's name and face were stored in his mental log of the ghouls he knew. "Do you get lost often?" He asked curiously. If she was anything like her sister then she could not see much outside of shapes. How debilitating that must be.

Lattice chuckled lightly and nodded, "An expert enough to know you shouldn't buy those ones..." She pointed toward a set, "Too watered down and probably not any real good. Whoever made it did poorly on the mixture." She spoke in a low tone to Mot so the shopkeeper wouldn't over hear them. Not that she cared if she hurt their feelings but it was always bad to talk trash while in the store in the company of the shopkeep.

The ghoul blushed at the compliment of her name and then she shook her head, "Don't worry yourself on it...I would have been the same way," Lattice smiled just a bit and then went on to look at other containers of ink. "Only a little bit at first...It usually isn't so bad but moving from a manor to Amity has thrown me off completely..."

She knew the Manor and the area around it and so it was a bit startling to be out of her element now.

Mot looked the inks over as Lattice explained away their faults quietly. The boil leaned in, making sure the ghoul did not have to raise her voice too much. "Good advice.. so then what should I go with?" If this selection was no good, then what was he left with?

Mot smiled kindly, "I guess a map would do you no good?"

The ghoul seemed to think a moment, "Well if you must have pre-made," she muttered thoughtfully as her eyes scanned the selection she then wandered off a bit closer to some finer quality inks and held up the container, "You want this one," again a lower tone, "I think they mistakenly marked this one cheaply. You can use that to your advantage."

Lattice chuckled slightly at his question, "A map would help me some as long as it is in ink, but my sense of direction just hasn't caught up with me yet. Being a new place I can no longer tell my up or my down at the moment...I am sure I'll settle soon enough."

Mot took the offered container of ink, looking it over thoughtfully. "Thank you. Glad to know I'll be saving some seeds." He had no idea ink had so much variety. What qualified as good and bad was beyond him.

"I can't imagine being blind, or mostly blind." Mot said with concern. "Is there anything that makes getting around easier?"

Lattice nodded a bit, "Not a problem," she replied and then she paused a little bit, "the only thing a little cheaper is making your own, but not everyone likes to do so...I am willing to make the ink for you if you wish. I rather enjoy it," the ghoul would of course leave out a couple of ingredients that went into Engraver's ink of course. She didn't think Mot would need that sort of ink for his purposes.

The ghoul shrugged a lightly, "Without my mask I am completely blind so...I am thankful for whatever sight it grants me for now. It is better to see some of the world than not at all." Lattice was being optimistic. She rather not pout over her difficulties.

"I just need to make rounds every now and again and memorize where things are in my new surroundings. A friend I made, her name is Lizzy, she is going to carry around a bottle of ink so that I can always recognize her," Lattice explained a small but fond smile appearing on her face.

Mot seemed surprised. "You make your own?" The offer was kind, and since Lattice seemed to enjoy making it, he nodded. "I'd love some home made ink."

"You sense ink then?" Mot asked curiously, tilting his head. Oh that Lizzy. She was everywhere. Meeting all the people all the time.

Lattice nodded lightly as she started to move toward the supplies to make ink, "Yes. It is very easy to do. The ink I make for myself is different but it shouldn't be any trouble to make yours while I am at it," she replied with a small shrug.

Plus he seemed nice; it wasn't like he'd take advantage of her.

Lattice seemed thoughtful at his question before she replied, "In a way that is a good way to say it. It is more like I see it clearly out of all the things around me. Like if you would have a tattoo I would see it so long as it wasn't somewhere covered up by something else."

She paused at the display that had ink stones and the link looking them over curiously, "Do you have a special skill?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 17, 2011 1:35 pm

"I see. Interesting." Mot mused, tapping his lip with a finger. He'd certainly never heard of something like that. It was worth noting, anyway.

A special skill.. Mot looked at his own hands for a moment, flexing his fingers thoughtfully before shrugging, and slipping them back into his pockets. "I'm a fairly good shot with a gun. Other than that I dabble in calligraphy." He also danced, but he didn't much feel like mentioning it. Shooting and writing were his main fortes; his special skills.

Lattice giggled slightly, "I suppose so~. It is just something I grew up with," the ghoul shrugged as she reached out to pick up a couple of things that she would need for her task. She listened quietly to his special skills.

"I see, I do not think I would be able to witness your shooting skill but I would enjoy seeing some of your calligraphy if you would be comfortable showing me," She replied quietly with a glance over at him to see what he would say. Lattice wouldn't expect him to say yes if at all.

She stared down at a set of special dyes to color the ink, "Do you have a favorite color?"
