After meeting up with Holly shortly after the end of class, they'd made plans to meet in Herryk's dorm. He was currently feeling a little uneasy about having a girl in his dorm unsupervised and wasn't sure he'd been thinking straight when he offered his dorm up for a secure location so that they could do their homework together.

He'd bought spookies. Everyone liked spookies, right? Jove did, Sura did... spookies were good for making friends, and Herryk hoped that it eased them both into their homework.

After all, homework was serious business.

Assuring himself that his dorm was proper and clean, that his foxfires were secured in their little pen and that Snorri and the dragons were being well-behaved, Herryk waited on pins and needles for his homework-partner to arrive.

Well this was going to be interesting. At first she hadn't know who her partner was for this assignment. Holly had known just about everyone in class and got paired with one of the few she did not know. Wasn't bad though, new friend right? It wasn't too hard then to pick him out after class. Great. She got paired with the boil who seemed to like wearing tiny bits of clothing. She also agreed to meet in his room for this homework. Holly wasn't sure why she agreed to that either. Maybe cause her room wasn't exciting.

Whatever. She'd just go there and they'd get the dust bunny observation over with and done. At the moment she was now making her way to the undead dorms to do said homework. And she had the jar full of dust bunny with her and some paper just incase. Did they have to write anything or just watch it?

Holly just decided to just open the door when she got there. He knew she was coming so what harm would that be? None apparently since Herryk appeared to just be waiting. "Hey, so, uh, ready to get this homework over with?" She held up the jar with her own dust bunny in it and grinned.

Well, that hadn't been the way he'd pictured that playing out. He'd planned on opening the door at her knock like any polite boil would before having her sit down on a rickety old chair he'd found in the hallway. He'd also planned on offering spookies and maybe some sort of drink, but when Holly had just ... come on in, Herryk was thrown off and feeling very, very nervous.

"Herryk welcomes Holly to his dorm," Herryk blurted, crossing his arms over his chest. Forgoing his loincloth for a pair of jack-o-lantern patterned pajama shorts that were way too small and way too tight for his physique, he'd figured that casual-wear would be better than prancing around in his loincloth. Problem was, they threatened to explode at the seams. He wasn't even quite sure how he'd stuffed himself in them.

Herryk cleared his throat nervously and awkwardly gestured towards the chair he'd acquired specifically for this moment.

"It is sturdy," he said in regards to the chair, waiting for her to seat herself before he took his place opposite her, "and safe for you to sit on."

Holly, haven't been raised properly or anything still was never quite use the the door concept. Before being dead she had no use for doors, nor did she know that. Being a ghost, well, doors and walls were still a strange idea. She normally did well with them but maybe it was the homework that made her just open the door?

Holly rose a brow at his welcome. Did ... he always talk in the third person like that. She hoped to Jack he didn't or this homework would just get annoying. Which sucked cause she couldn't just leave since it needed to get done. Actually though, looking at him as he greeted her in that fashion in, wait what was he wearing? Holly almost started to laugh at the state of the boil's short. She'd remember seeing him in a loincloth before, that was almost preferable to this.

She looked to the chair. Well since he offered. It looked kind of scary but she shrugged and sat down in it. It creaked some but stayed together. Sturdy, right. "Yeah I guess so." This was seriously a strange encounter. Now seated she looked at the jar again.

"What do ya think we have to do with these things?"

Herryk turned in place and waddled uneasily over to where he had prepared a little plate with spookies artfully arranged on it. There were little skull spookies, little ghost spookies, little cat spookies. He'd picked them out himself. He'd even placed them on a little plate that he'd gone out of his way to find.

Picking up the plate daintily between two fingers, Herryk carried them towards the table that Holly was sitting at. His expression fell when she started talking about the homework -- he knew that it had to get done, but he'd also wanted the first time that someone had visited his dorm to be a little special.

Especially since the visitor was a ghoul.

"Herryk is not sure." He paused and set the spookie-filled plate down on the table before carefully making his way back to where he'd kept the little bunny in a jar. Once more he turned and made his way back to the table where Holly was seated. He gave the glass a hearty shake before setting it down on the table. For fear that his shorts rip into a million pieces, Herryk remained standing with an uncomfortable look on his face.

"Herryk wonders if they like spookies? Does Holly like spookies?" He smiled tremulously. If she didn't like spookies... well, more for him, he supposed.

Holly leaned back in the chair a bit and it made a little more noise. Alright, just sit here and not move that much at all. She could do that. How'd she even weigh enough to make a chair creak? Really? The ghoul watched Herryk make his way over to something. It wasn't the jar of dust bunny, it looked like a plate? He was quite possibly one of the strangest boils she'd ever met at this school. That was saying something.

Again she rose a brow, this time when the plate came into view. Spookies? He actually bought spookies for this. Huh. Skulls, cats, ghosts, an entire plate of them. Did he just happen to have them or what. Well she wasn't going to argue against the treats.

She nodded. Of course neither of them knew what to do. Heck the teacher didn't really even tell them. Holly set the jar on the ground carefully. She reached out and grabbed a ghost spookie and started to nibble on it. He had seemed to wander back over with his jar but wasn't sitting. Interesting.

Great. Was he really the type to talk in the third person? The ghoul nodded and held up the one she was starting to eat. Though she didn't need to eat, she loved sweets. "Yep, I like them. They might, we could try that." She thought for a moment. "Should we let it out or ... just stick a spookie in the jar?"

Herryk looked puzzled. He offered Holly a shrug before setting his jar down on the table next to the plate of spookies. This was feeling really awkward, and he wasn't the type to deal well with awkward situations. He had to idly wonder if all ghouls were like this one. She was very direct and to-the-point -- something that Herryk could appreciate, yes, just not when he was so anxious to make a good impression.

On a ghoul.

After giving it a moments thought, Herryk unscrewed the jar and threw a spookie in it before slapping his hand swiftly over the rim so the bunny couldn't get out. The seam of his pajama shorts gave a mournful creeeeeeeaaaakkkk as he bent at the waist and the sound made Herryk slowly ease back into a standing position, his hand still clamped over the lid of the jar.

Huh. Well he was helpfully wasn't he in this homework endeavor. Something besides this homework was on his mind but she wished they could just get this deal over with. Group projects were always interesting weren't they. Holly sighed and watching as Herryk stuck a spookie in his own dust bunny's jar. She watched as it ate it quite quickly. "Hmm, well it seems to enjoy the spookie, think that needs to go in our report or whatever it is we have to turn in?" Were they ever told what exactly they even had to turn in?

She heard a strange creaking sound, coming from the boil? Holly rose a brow. What in Jack's name was that. This was surely the most interesting group project ever. A small grin came across the ghoul's face. "Let's see how it does out of the jar, shall we?" With that she opened the lid of her jar and out came the dust bunny creature.

Herryk watched the dustbunny carefully, blue eyes narrowed. He really hoped that it didn't move real fast, and from his experience in class he wasn't sure that they didn't. In fact, he was relatively certain that they moved fast when they wanted to, and Herryk wasn't quite sure that he liked the idea of a dustbunny tearing around his dorm.

"Make sure that it doesn't get loose," Herryk warned, slowly backing up. He would be ready to jump on the jackdamned thing if it got hungry for flesh -- yes, he was worried about the foxfires he kept penned up.

"Herryk would hate to fail this class because we lost the bunny." Herryk would also hate to smash a dustbunny into smithereens because it tore after his foxfires.

Holly grinned as she watched the dust bunny take in it's new surroundings. It seemed slightly surprised that it was let out of the jar. It glanced at the seats, a good place to hide under. The ghoul's grinned lessened slightly when she noticed the dust bunny hop around slowly, which was making it's way to hide under where she was currently seating. "Guess it's kind of slow? Thought they were faster." Well it had grown larger from before.

"Not much places for it to go. Doesn't seem to do much anyway." Yes for the moment it seemed happy enough just sitting under her seat. It was kind of boring. "It's fine see? What's yours doing, still in the jar right." She was trying to not think about how he spoke in the third person. Darn it.

Herryk held the jar away from his body and glanced at the fat and flubby thing therein. Thick brows drew down in a frown as he gave the jar a little shake, the dustbunny almost sloshing around from side to side.

"These seem harmless," Herryk grunted before he upended the jar that he clutched, watching the dustbunny as it took an impressive dive to the floor. When it remained there motionless, Herryk reached forward with a foot and carefully nudged it.

That gentle nudge sent the dustbunny tumbling a few feet forward where it remained, tongue lolling out -- though if Herryk cared to look close enough he would see an unholy light in the red eyes of the dustbunny.

"They must be slow now because they are so fat," he said thoughtfully.

Holly just watched as his dust bunny joined hers on the floor. Yeah, this was such an exciting homework, at least it didn't involve that much work... "Ya see not that fast at all." Actually she remembered it being a pain to catch them before, why were they slow now?

At that thought her's took off and made for the pen of foxfires. "Uh..."

As soon as Holly's dust bunny took off for Herryk's foxfires, the dust bunny that he'd unceremoniously dumped to the floor took off after it. With surprising speed they roll-bounced towards the sacred pen of fluffy foxfires, and Herryk bellowed in distress. No, they couldn't get into his beloved foxfire pen.

"Herryk will kill them!" Teeth bared, Herryk barreled towards the loose dust bunnies with fists clenched and murder in his eyes. If Holly didn't stop either the dust bunnies or Herryk, it was pretty much obvious that Herryk would smash the dust bunnies into ...dust.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 20, 2011 8:00 pm

Holly watched both of the creatures make for the pen. She had hoped for a bit of fun, not utter mayhem with her homework. That said, she defiantly didn't want said work to be destroyed by her partner. The ghoul sighed.

Luckily for Herryk, Holly had quick reflexes. She was up just as fast at the bunnies and made after them. They did make it into the pen but she picked them both up before damage could be done. "Let's not do that, okay bunnies?" Holly stuffed hers back into it's jar and gave Herryk's his. "Hold onto that? I think we have enough material ... we can work on it separately and can always meet later." She hoped the separately implied to keep the bunnies from each other, she felt that two in one room wasn't the best idea. "I'll talk to ya later to finish this then."

Herryk clutched the jar to his chest and gave a stilted nod to Holly. He wasn't going to take any chances with letting the Jackdamned dustbunny out of its jar. As far as he was concerned, he was done with the bunny and the assignment. It was obvious that these creatures were murderous and bloodthirsty, and the sooner that Herryk could write up his assessment and get the jar out of his dorm, the better.

"It was nice meeting you, Holly," Herryk grunted as the ghoul left. "Herryk hopes to see you soon." Or something. Whatever. This had been one of the most un-fun experiences at school to date. He hadn't even been here that long, either.

His poor foxfires.
