In order to fully understand the game world, please read the Prequel to "The Rings." Thank you.One hundred years ago, the Nine Original Rings chose their masters, summoning them to the Central Chamber, hidden beneath the nation of Lasai'ei. Here, the Illusory took the chosen to the Ring Chamber, in which the chosen received their rings, and thereby their power. They went on to be the greatest magical warriors in the world. When they died, eight of them created duplicates of their rings to begin an army of rings. These eight left their rings to their children, who used the rings to create millions of duplicates. The last of the rings was returned to the Ring Chamber beneath Lasai'ei. Soon after, Lasai'ei was lost to the sands of time. In the present, there are eight Legions controlling the world's territories: the Dark Legion, which controls the No Man's Land; the Flame Legion, which controls the Volcanic Range; the Sky Legion, which controls the Floating Islands; the Earth Legion, which controls the Great Forest; the Water Legion, which controls the Oceanic State; the Spirit Legion, which controls the Other Side; the Fade Legion, which controls the Fade; and the Holy Legion, which controls the Heavenly Society. Each Legion possesses a different colored ring, symbolizing the control over their magical power. Each of you are from a different Legion. You are brought to the Fade to be inducted into the Legion of your choosing. However, before you can choose, the Original Rings choose you. You each now possess the powers granted to you by the Original Rings, which have chosen you as their first true masters since the Original Ring Bearers died. You are young and weak, unable to harness the full potential of the Original Rings. But even so, it is your duty to return to Lasai'ei and retrieve the Lost Ring, the only Orange Ring in the world. This is rumored to be the greatest ring of all, which was why the Orange Soldier chose to return it to the Ring Chamber. The one to possess the Orange Ring would be the most powerful Ring Bearer alive. However, the quest to find the lost nation of Lasai'ei is a difficult one. Can you succeed? Or will you devolve into murderous beasts in your desire to be the one to possess the Orange Ring? Who will possess the power of the Orange Soldier, the only master of the lost art: Geoconnectivity?

Character Sheet This is the basic char sheet. You can add things, but what I ask for here is the minimum for this game. Also, there is ONE of each ring available. So if someone beats you to one, you have to change it to another one. Please note that this takes place in medieval times, albeit in its own world. Please send this IN the code-tags, so that I don't have to hit the "reply" button just to get the BBCode. [code][b][color=blue]N[/color][/b][i][color=green]ame[/color][/i]: (Name should reflect race, if possible.) [b][color=blue]S[/color][/b][i][color=green]ex[/color][/i]: (Male, female, hermaphrodite, or genderless) [b][color=blue]R[/color][/b][i][color=green]ace[/color][/i]: (This means any humanoid entities [human, anthro, -mimi, elf, dwarf, etc.]. You may also pick a tauric race [i.e., centaur, wemic, dracotaur, etc.].) [b][color=blue]A[/color][/b][i][color=green]ppearance[/color][/i]: (This is quite literally how you look. Markings, piercings, clothes, etc. And, unnatural hair and eye colors are allowed. Eyes may glow, if you wish.) [b][color=blue]A[/color][/b][i][color=green]ge[/color][/i]: (16-18) [b][color=blue]B[/color][/b][i][color=green]ack[/color][/i] [b][color=blue]S[/color][/b][i][color=green]tory[/color][/i]: (This is of course your char's past.) [b][color=blue]P[/color][/b][i][color=green]ersonality[/color][/i]: (This is how your char acts.) [b][color=blue]Q[/color][/b][i][color=green]uirks[/color][/i]: (This is anything that is out of the ordinary, such as being ambidextrous or an addiction. Quirks can be good or bad.) [b][color=blue]R[/color][/b][i][color=green]ing[/color][/i]: (This is literally which ring you want: black/dark-magic, red/fire, yellow/air, green/earth, blue/water, indigo/spirit-channeling, violet/illusion-magic, or white/holy-magic.) [b][color=blue]D[/color][/b][i][color=green]esired[/color][/i] [b][color=blue]C[/color][/b][i][color=green]ostume[/color][/i] [b][color=blue]U[/color][/b][i][color=green]pgrade[/color][/i]: This is what kind of special additions you want the Ring to make to your clothes/costume. This works exactly like the Green Lantern Uniform [it only appears when you want it to; it is made of energy that is the same color as your Ring] This is optional and would be purely aesthetic.)

Accepted Characters
Blow_em_up Name: Moriah Briarclaw Sex: Female Race: Nekomimi Appearance: Moriah is about five foot, five inches tall. She has a lean build and bronzed skin that reflects the amount of activity she does outside. Her hair is medium length that is a gradient shade that starts as black, but goes progressively more brown. It is usually kept out of her face through the use of a headband, and when it grows too long, she usually cuts it with a knife. Her hair always has an unkempt, almost tomboyish look to it. Dispite this, she actually makes a very careful effort to make sure she's clean and well groomed, peticularly after training sessions. The fur on her ears and tail have a similar coloration, though she refuses to trim them. Her tail is longer then most mimis, and the fur is very soft and fluffy. Her animalistic traits (sharp nails and canines, etc.) seem to be more pronounced then usual. Her eyes are a metallic grey that resembles the high quality steel that is used to forge katanas. Her clothes, when she chooses to wear any at all, is usually her training unifrom, which looks like a navy blue hakama and a jacket the folds around her torso like a robe, and is then tucked into the waist of the hakama and secured by a belt around the waist. Age: 18 Back Story: Moriah grew up in a mountainside town that was known for producing the finest weapons and armor. Her father, Bramblestorm was an anthro from a tribe in the mountains, where as her mother, Abigail Summers, was the daughter of a fine blacksmith. Her name isn't as much of a first and last name, but two sperate names altogether. Abigail wanted her daughter to have a name that wouldn't offend the bigots among human soceity as much, and Bramblestorm wanted her to preserve both the human and anthro culture. As such, most humans and such call her Moriah, where as most anthros call her Briarclaw, or simply Briar in a more friendly setting. She was born blind, which created signifigant hardship for her and her parents until she learned how to adapt. She was raised with both cultures, and eventually picked an chose her favorite parts from each. While she lived in a human settlement, both parents noticed that she found the typical wool garments uncomfortable, and convinced her to simply avoid them unless they were needed, following the more primitive views of the tribes. It took Moriah two years after her 12th birthday to let her train in swordsmanship. While she struggled at first, she eventually became quite skilled, and figured out how to create a unique fighting style that celebrated her enhanced senses. Personality: Normally, Moriah is rather quiet and kind. She loves the company of her friends, and is quite fond of good food and drink. She also tends to be a good patron to musicans and bards, and has been know to listen to their works for hours. She has a tendancy to train in the wilderness either with a partner or by herself. She also loves bathing, especially with it's in gentle rivers on in a cool mountain spring. When someone tries to take advantage of, or threatens either herself or her friends, she will fight until the end to ensure their safety, or otherwise react to make sure that the offender won't dare make the mistake twice. She's very sensitive over asking people to help her dress. She either defaults to her training uniform or, preferably, simply forgoes clothes all together. While nudity is tolerated and even promoted by her father's culture, it's still represents something she can't learn to compensate for. She usually prefers to go without clothing because of how senstive her sense of touch is, and unless the clothes are made of the finest fabrics available, they usually tend to be scratchy and uncomfortable. Quirks: Moriah was born blind, but because of this, here other senses naturally heightened themselves. She relies on using a combination of her other senses in order to be aware of the things around her. She uses her hearing to echolocate in order to get an idea of where everything in her surroundings are. She also learned how to appraise the quality and materials of weapons she is familiar with without the use of sight by listening to the frequency that the blade makes. It doesn't help her see the detailing, but she knows how to pinpoint a combat quality blade almost as good as a master weaponsmith. Ring: Green/earth Desired Costume Upgrade: Creates a emerald green, knee length evening dress. The top half is pretty form fitting, has a belt tied around the the stomach to hold her sword and help add a little decoration, and has a halter that ties behind the neck. The bottom half is very flowing. While in theory her tail could simple poke through the veil of energy, it has a cut in the back specifically for it. The dress itself seems to play in the wind like a light, breezy fabric. For whatever reason, though, the spirit of her ring decided to take a few liberties by making the dress a sheer color, so it's almost more like a thin veil wrapped around her body. A collar inlaid with a subdued and simple ivy like design also manifests for reasons unknown...

But as he grew up and became more questioning of religion, he began to lose his faith and became a strong Agnostic, believing there was no way to know whether or not any religion was correct or not. At this point, he left the Chantry to start his own life and make a name for himself by joining the white legion. Her skin is pale as she spent a lot of time indoors. Age: 16 Back Story: Manra was born into a bit of wealth, as her grandfather had been a part of the Legion. As she grew up, the wealth around her seemed almost pointless, but for buying things like art supplies and tools to create things which her imagination had conjured. Manra’s parents were happy about this creativeness, but slightly disappointed in her socially, as she spent way too much time cooped in her mind, hadn’t even made one friend in all her years. Well, unless you count her imaginary friends, which were realer to her than those around her. Seeing as she was ‘just like her grampapa’, they encouraged her to join the Legion. The idea didn’t appeal at first, but eventually, she said ok. Her folks thought it would be a chance for her to make some real friends, finally. One of her ‘friends’ told her it would give her the chance to make real for times what was only phantasm to others. She liked that bit, and that’s why she agreed. When it's another being, she apologizes before moving on. SHe lacks proper socializing skills, so is quite awkward when put into such a situation, often getting intimidated by it. Personality: Despite her really not-so-normal past, Amadahy is rather pleasant and charismatic whenever she decides to speak (she decides to stay relatively silent most of the time). Berated and angered, he ran into the forest and hid until he came upon a small mountain town. He was now 18, he had lost his mother with the fall of the Other Siders Church. He is not angered anymore, but in fact has found peace in the opinions of others. Now a traveling father, hoping to spread word of the wonderous Other Side. PROLOGUE It was time once again for The Gathering. The Gathering was the one time each year when the Legions came together in the territory of the Fade Legion. Here in The Fade, nothing is as it seems. The Fade is a world of illusions, created by the millions of Violet Rings in the world, each of which were created by the Original Violet Ring upon request by the family of the Violet Knight’s descendants. The Fade appears physical and vast, but is not so; rather, it is the same size as every other territory and none of the non-living objects are really, but are actually illusions. The Gathering is neither challenge nor true peace. The Gathering is the time when new members are accepted into the Legions. The nobles of each and every Legion come to the Fade for The Gathering. This year, just as every year before since the founding of the Legions, hundreds of potential members have come. They selected their Legion and were accepted. They were granted a single Ring of their Legion’s color: Black, Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, or White. However, there were a set of people who the nobles of the Fade Legion selected to be seen before the nobles of all Legions. No one knew why these eight were chosen, and nor did the Fade nobles know what they sensed in these people. These eight were Moriah Briarclaw, Maxwell Fleck, Eleutherius Ariadne, Manra, Amadahy, Marco St. Francis, Kirino Morgenstern, and Atlanta. Each would receive the greatest honor among the peoples of the Legions, but no one knew it yet…

DAY ONE Everyone:You and your families are standing before the gates to the Palace of the Fade Legion Nobility. Moriah:Your parents are holding your hands, as the illusion is throwing you off with your sense of the vibration: everything is distorted around you, leaving you truly blind. Maxwell:Your parents are standing near you, looking like the arrogant people they are who despise the world. Eleutherius:You are standing alone near the doors to the Palace. Manra:Your parents are next to you, their faces showing just how proud they are that you are following your grandfather’s footsteps. Amadahy:You are alone near the doors to the Palace. Marco:You are alone by the doors to the Palace. Everyone around you simply looks like average people, but some look like they could be converted to The Other Side. Kirino:You are alone near the doors to the Palace. Atlanta:You are alone near the doors to the Palace. Everyone:You do see each other, but you are unsure of why any of you are there. The doors open slowly, and a hooded Fade Legionary beckons you in. “The families can only go so far,” he says. You can tell that he knows the Common Language, but isn’t used to using it.

I step forward, trying my best to track his voice. I step tenatively, hoping to not run into any obsticles. I adjust my sword in my belt into a more comfortable position. I tie the strings on the sheath over the handle to peacebond it as a sign of good faith. "Are the illusions... or whatever this... unnatural feeling is... really nessisary...?" I ask. I was really hoping at this point that there was something more to... where ever I was... then just a strangeness in senseing vibration.
*btw, a peace bond is when you tie a sword to it's sheath so that you cant draw it without undoing the knot. this basically prevents the weapon user from quickly drawing their weapon for assassination purposes.

I step towards the hooded man. "That's fine with me as I'm clearly unaccompanied." I say to him and then look at Moriah when I hear her speak. "Surely you expected no less from the Fade Legion." I say to her in jest, but then I notice that her parents are guiding her and my inflection changes to a more concerned and friendly one. "If you need any kind of help, I'd be quite willing to give you any support I can." I say with a heartwarming smile.

I snap my head to Eleutherius's direction... or at least where I think it is. "No! I don't need any--" I start to reply, and then realize that I probably would actually need his help. I start to blush a little, and start to wish I had kept my hair a little longer to conceal it. "--Ummm... I kinda would like you help..." I say in an embaressed and shy tone.

As soon as he mention's how obvious his species was through looks, I start to play with my slightly nervously. "Oh... of course... but you know, it can be hard to tell like... half elves and stuff from humans... But, I kinda like Ele better..." I reply back. I had only heard about half evles in stories... I think at least... and heard they were pretty human like in appearance. I sure hoped my guess was correct...

Manra looked around, although where she was looking had nothing to do with what she saw or felt. She was, as often the case, slightly spacey, but a small smile stretched on her lips. "Just wait, granpapa..." she said mainly to herself, "you three too...I'll see you all soon." Manra started to walk, still spacey. Her steps were a bit uneven, until she accidentally tripped over her own feet and began to fall.
