Renesme Renesme Carlie Cullen smiled at her eldest child, in her opinion her daughter Eden was the most stunning creature to ever walk the earth... of course she may have been slightly bias, especially after having tried for so long to concieve her. But nothing would change her opinion, she only wished that sometimes her daughter would see the truth in herself. "What are you up to today?" She asked in a gentle tone, touching her daughter softly on the cheek with her nose. Whenever Renesme did this she transfered images that portrayed her thoughts... and on this occassion she showed an image of Eden and her two brothers popping from their baskets a feeling of love and joy surrounding them, it was followed swiftly by several others of them all playing together and finally ended with a picture of how Renesme saw her daughter, a beautiful and delicate flower. Eden By now Eden was used to her mothers odd ability, and though it could show her exactly what she looked like and was thought of in her mothers eyes she often found her own view of herself was more skewed towards how useful she was, not anything else. Looking at her mother and shaking her head. "I don't really have any plans, I was just going to work on an idea I have in my head if anything." She often had ideas and would fit them together when she cold but usually she was alone for this. But none of it was important she had no position in the herd so no demands on her.

Renesme Renesme nodded and continued to smile at her daughter, she had long ago accepted that she wasn't as 'girly' as Renesme had first expected or hoped, more of a tinkerer and a thinker, and that was fine. After all Renesme really didn't want her children to be anything other than themselves. Paris was more outgoing, showing off to get attention and at times being rather loud and out spoken. Crown was slightly more reserved, trying to make everyone happy though sometimes she worried he neglected himself... of course he did have a dream he was working towards and Renemes was sure one day he would make it come true. All born within five minutes of each other yet all so different.
Taking an interest in Eden's work Renesme asked, "Oh is that right... what kind of idea this time? A do-dar that rings? Or maybe a thinga-ma-bob that sings?" As she spoke it was obvious that Renesme was not inventive at all, but she wasn't mocking her daughter and she hoped that Eden knew that. Eden Eden found herself laughing on the inside if nothing else shaking her head a little, loving her mother very much. "More of a whosmawhatsit that clunks." She never really named anything, there was no point in giving a name when no reply would come from its use but inevitably everythign needed a name to be identified. "What about you mother, what are your plans for today?"

Renesme Renesme nodded softly to her daughter, having no idea what would 'clunk' but looking forward to a demonstration eventually none the less. In her heart she knew that inventing made Eden happy... and since she didn't seem to find much comfort within the company of the herd Renesme was simply pleased that she had found something, though she hoped her daughter would one day have more... a Rune of her of her own, or a Rune-ette if that was fancy. "Me?" She said looking out over the lake for a moment, "nothing much, I will probably just make some new accessories for some of the mares to wear... and maybe go and collect some berries." She chuckled softly and turned to face Eden winking playfully, "Just don't tell Daddy... You know how protective he can get about his girls." She was sure Eden understood what she meant, Rune had always been very protective of Eden and although Eden had never really wanted or needed the protection Renemse knew that Rune still worried daily about her. Eden Eden shook her head in responce to her mother, things were always much simpler when she didn't talk over her plans with her father, mostly because she got thigns done then, when she told him she would be delayed with questions till it was too late. Looking at her mother, not havign spent proper time with her in a long while. "How about we go get some betties together, or I can be your aid while you work on accessories again?" Not minding that, it was a wat to help her mother and spend time with her, besides her mother seemed to enjoy such things especially if she was making something for her daughter.

Renesme Renesme couldn't help but beam at her daughter, touching her cheek once again and sending over a warmth and sence of happiness and gratitude. The offer its self was enough to keep Renesme happy, but she knew Eden would follow through happily. "That would be nice.... let us..." She thought about it for a moment before deciding which to do, "...go and find some berries, perhaps we can surprise your brothers and father by actually beating them to it for a change." She smiled, her mind suddenly racing with the different fruits they could collect for their little 'family feast'. If Renesme had her was her children would come home every night to eat together... but she understood that it wasn't always possible, but tonight was just such a night and she planned to make the most of it before her children were all grown up and left the nest completely... not needing her anymore. She shuddered, not liking the idea of being useless to them anymore. Eden Eden nodded and looked around. "I'll be right back." Heading off to her pile of things, returning not to long later with a basket of sorts that she had settled between her wings. "Ok, now we are all set to get all kinds of things." The basket big enough to fit quite a lot of fruit in.

Renesme Renesme nodded to her daughter, her mind still contemplating the best spots to go 'berry hunting', maybe they would lucky and stumble across an orchid or perhaps even a single fruit tree. She smiled at the idea, when Eden finally returned Renesme immediatly spotted the makeshift basket nestled between her wings, her daughter was so considerate, and even if she didn't know it her little inventions did help... every once in a while at least. "Oh.... that should make it easier," she chirped, starting off towards the place she believed the best berries were growing at this time in the season. "Come on then...."
She smiled at her daughter, not walking to quickly in fear of tiring herself out too quickly. Deciding she would give Eden a chance to lead the conversation she asked, "So, is there anything you would like to talk about?" Renesme tilted her head curiously, she never expected Eden to take her up on the offer but she always asked.

Eden looked at her mother, pondering telling her the bigest bit of news that Eden had, but then she didn't know what her mother would make of it. Worse what would her father say, she had made the choice alone. But it had been made and she had no intention or desire to change her mind. "I have met someone..." Yeah, that was an understatement, she had a mate, that was the bottom line, but it would take time to bring Orion to her family with how unsure he was of himself.

Renesme Renesme happily scouted for berries, her mind half expecting her daughter to say nothing, half expecting to to be shut out. Her daughter was so beautiful, but she was rather distant at times, enjoyed her own mind more than the interaction with others. It made her heart feel heavy, but deep down Renesme simply wanted her daughter to be happy. Of course what happened next had her speechless. She paused. Stopped dead in her tracks. It was not at the news that had her reacting like this, no, it was that Eden had shared.... Renesme blinked once before the biggest and warmest smile covered her face. In an instant she had her daughter held in an embrace, the smile refusing to waver.
Silence bloomed between them for a while, untill Renesme took a step back and giggled a little. "....so.... who is this someone?" Her happiness for her daughter was obvious.

Eden couldn't help looking surprised, not that she was unused to affection and such things but this seemed more. Finding herself smiling and hugging hermother back once she was over the suprise. Looking at her mother, blushing a little, but she found that she was happy that her mother seemed happy. "His name is Orion." Not that she didn't know what her mother wanted to know, but she was prone to only answering exactly what had been asked.

Renesme Renesme chuckled again with a soft shake of her head, she was used to her daughters straightforward ways.... and she was sure her daughter was used to hers. "And....?" She prompted, before adding, "Details, details! What is he like, how did you meet? You know... give me all the gossip." Perhaps it wasn't right for a mother to ask such things from her children but Renesme hoped she was close enough to all her children, even if their ways were more quite than open, for them to feel safe enough around her to open up....

Sighing a little, this not exactly the concise questions she had hoped for but they were questions all the same. "We met on the border of the herd lands, he was wandering and had just come in a little, I was hanging one of my inventions. He thought I was a butterfly.... He is quite, and very shy and unsure of himself, but he is also very sweet. He seemed to thin I would run from him like some kind of monster...." Not adding why he thought that, nor had she mentioned that they were mated, and that she was looking for a place in the herd but away from the main group for them to live.

Renesme Renesme continued to smile, the happiness for her daughter was clear. Part of Renesme had feared her daughter would not find someone, that she would remain alone.... part of her mind also feared the same for Crown. Listening with great interest she nodded as appropriate before finally speaking again, "You are beautiful as a butterfly my dear." She nodded in approval, her daughter was stunning even if she didn't believe it. "Quite and shy? I can see why you get on so well...." Renesme paused for a little while, her mind trying to decide if she should ask the question that was lingering on the tip of tongue... with everything that Eden had said there seemed to be something she wasn't saying. Three possibilities came to mind.... one, she was pregnant.... two, she was mated.... or three, she wanted to leave the herd to be with him. Renesme didn't like the final option.... after a little while she decided she needed to ask, knowing it would only eat at her otherwise. "What aren't you saying dear?"

Sighing again Eden looked at her mother. "It will take time to even get him to consider joining the herd, he sees himself as a monster because his father was a kalona.... So I've been looking for a place, in our herd lands, but a little apart where he and I can live... I've been looking since I agreed to be his mate." She knew her mother wouldn't like the first bit, but she was trying to stay close, it would just take time, and at least this way family had an easy trip to visit.

Renesme A kalona? Suddenly Renesme feared for her daughter's life.... even a half kalona was dangerous! Still, she knew better than to comment, surely Eden of all mares wouldn't have given her heart to someone who didn't deserve it? At least Renesme hoped that. The shook probably read on her face, but with a shake of her head she forced the thoughts away... she would trust her daughter, and knew that the alpha and protector would neutralise any and all threats.... "He... sounds nice." She said, trying to smile softly..... but until she met this 'Orion' she knew her mind would not settle on the matter. Instead Renesme focused on something she did know. "There is a quite place, near the far side of the lake there is a patch thick with trees and bushes, but if you push yourself through them there is a little grotto. Perhaps we could shape a more perminant entrance?" Even if Eden's mate was part kalona the fact was it was the one that Eden had chose, and so Renesme would always try to support her daughter.

Eden's smile had faded seeing the look on her mothers face, feeling herself mentally stepping back and understanding a little what Orion had faced all his life. "Orion would never hurt anyone." Her tone so sure and a little hurt on behalf of the mate her mother had yet to meet, thinking she would have to talk both of them into it, but naturally her father would flip at the idea of either female going near a kalona. For the first time Eden was a little afraid it might come down to a choice, Orion or the family and herd. "Lets get those berries..." Starting to walk again, looking for berries and other fruits.
