User ImageThe sun had barely risen passed the horizon as Eyal'savas raced across the grassy plains. He disrupted grazing packs of prey beasts but even as they scattered, he did not change his course to chase them. He wasn't running for food, or even because he was being chased.

It had been his routine every morning since the plan to return home had been stopped. Cautrix was around...somewhere. Eyal was horrified to find himself losing track of his best friend often. Before they had left the pride, they had been as close as they could be – they had always been there for each other, but it seemed in the rogue lands it was a different story.

He scowled as he slowed his run to a jog, and finally to a slow trot. He really hated the rogue lands, he realised, for driving him and Cautrix apart – though he knew it was not the lands' fault that they had drifted apart. He had never cared for Eyal quite like Eyal had cared for him.

He heaved a sigh, his body aching like it always did after the run. He was not a young male anymore – not even close. He would be a grandfather by now, had he thought to have cubs when he was younger, like his friend had, but his 'family' of Cautrix and his son had been enough.

Not anymore, though.

The son was gone, and the father was distant and Eyal was left to train for a war that would never happen, and glory that would never be achieved.

Everything going on in Niamh's mind was much, much simpler. She really didn't have anything to worry about. She really had nothing to worry about at all. Occasionally she had to worry about getting hungry or getting thirsty. Occasionally she had to worry about a few other things but it was an occasional thing. she had children, somewhere... She wasn't even really sure anymore, she didn't even remember what they looked like. She didn't really care to a point. Yeah she loved her kids but Niamh was best described as simple. And her being simple meant that simple things amused her. Including this gray male that she found amusement in following. She had been following him for a litlte while no. she wasn't sure where he was going but she was curious.

She didn't really know who he was either, if he was dangerous or if he was busy, and well none of that really had crossed Niamh's mind. Actually at this point she thought that he was playing a game with her. Completely forgetting the fact that SHE was the one who started to follow HIM. She totally forgot about that and well when the male stopped walking she thought it was also part of the game. Not her favorite part that was for sure. It really was her favorite part she was actually upset that he stopped, she didn't understand why he did but she knew that she had to go along with it! She crouched down on to the ground and creeped forward trying to move as quickly as she could trying to be quite and trying to keep an eye on the male. It didn't take much for the leopardess to launch herself in the air heading straight for Eyal's side.

Eyal had been so caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't spot the female following, not even when he had come to a stop. His body ached, so he was slow to react as the female launched herself at him, taking him by surprise. He let out a roar of protest, twisting his body so that his injured hide was away from what he expected were paws with claws extended to injure him.

Since he had been so slow to react, he was unable to prevent himself from tumbling over, but he used the momentum from the fall to twist, and roll his body, hopefully pinning the 'attacker' to the ground.

He growled, teeth barred as he prepared himself for battle, muscles tense and posture angry – though the anger was directed at himself for allowing someone to catch him of guard.

Naimh was never one to really recognize some one's anger. She generally wans't that good at processing negative emotions. She didn't exactly understand them. She was never angry and when some one else was she just didn't process the fact that they were angry. In her mind they were just normal, they weren't happy but she didn't process of them being upset at her. When she was flying in the air she was happy and when she began to tumble with the other creature. She was still happy as the lion started to tumble with her. She didn't understand the snarling and she didn't understand the anger coming from the male. She really just didn't process it, she stared at him blankly as he stood above her and push himself against her. She stared up at him before speaking.

"HELLO SIR!" She giggled as she pushed her feet up against his stomach and giggled a little more before wiggling a little. "That was a fun game sir! Can we play it again?" She then started him in the face for a moment. "You look old but you're cute!"

Eyal stared at the smiling and giggly creature he had pinned beneath him. He'd felt sure that it had been some vicious creature, out to hunt him down, but instead it was a leopardess...a very happy leopardess. He scowled down at her, growling slightly as she pressed her paws to his stomach, and then called him old.

Yeah, he was a little beyond his prime but being called old to his face still stung. He had so little to show for his life, nothing to leave behind to say he was there, other than disappointment.

He bit back the angry, self-loathing words that he'd have directed at her, insulting her in an attempt to make himself feel better. It was hard to hold them back but he did. He had to. "Do you tackle people often for games?" he asked, scoffing and stepping off of her with a scowl shot her way.

He was being 'nice'. He probably should have just smacked her, but he couldn't do that.

Naimh arched a brow a the male. she was pretty confused that was for sure. she didn't know what to think about this. "Wait," she said arching her brow pausing for a moment before speaking again. "I thought you knew we were playing silly. I like to play games and you said you were going to play?" Did he really? She wasn't that sure, in her mind she did. She didn't believe in her mind that it was far from the truth. she didn't think it was too far from the truth. That was how she felt anyway. She didn't like believing that it was far from the truth. In her mind she was always right and not only was she always right but everyone wanted to play with her, everyone wanted to play with her.

"Will you play more games with me?" She asked him before getting up and then pawing at his tial. "I like to play games, come on your really cure and I wanna play!" She told him nodding a few times before flicking his hair out of his eyes. "I wanna play. I hope you wanna play too."

Eyal could feel himself getting even more confused. "I have never spoken to you before in my life," he said simply, "I certainly didn't agree to play?" He shook his head, feeling baffled. Did this female mix him up with someone else, or was she just plain crazy? He felt sort of bad for her, she was obviously confused and while he hadn't been the cause of it, it still made him feel bad. Damn his compassion, he thought. His emotions had become more and more intense as he grew older, perhaps realising that the way he had lived his life basically guaranteed that he was going to live his life alone.

He looked amused as at her pleading, and almost snorted out loud at the 'cute' comment. He was too old for that adjective, he decided, staring at her with some resignation. She was...admittedly, rather adorable for a girl, and a leopard at that.

He sighed. "Fine, we may play one game," he said calmly. He had a feeling he was setting himself up for something by allowing her to continue her game, but he could not figure out why he felt that way. Stupid emotions, he thought to himself, and waited for the 'game' to start.
