I love how your girls example asks us if we like it and the guys example asks them if it bothers them wink
It doesn't bother me, I don't like it either. It's just there. For my own, I feel pretty much the same way. It doesn't get in the way and getting rid of it is just way too much trouble.

I didn't like keeping mine long so I trim and condition it to keep the hair soft. On special occasions I'll shave it but not usually. Mine started bothering me because I would be able to feel it brush against my underwear and it annoyed me.
As for on guys, trimmed.

I edited your thread title because otherwise both of your threads about pubic hair looked the same.
In the future, you can combine threads like these, and put everything into one thread. smile That saves time and space.

Well since its normal to have pubic hair. I say I like the guys that have it trimmed. To me it may be a bit uncomfortable when I'm having sex though.

it's somewhat of a bother if it's thick, too bad the media's view via the porn industry gave the examples that the ladies should be baldies

Well being that pubic hair is just so unruly.../Sarcasam
Personally I think it looks weird being gone. Especially now that I'm a mother (of girls).
I think the glorification of a shaved pubic area by media (pornography) and society (Have you SEEN the amount of products to remove hair from the "bikini area") actually is revealing of society's obsession with youth and the "Lolita" (not as in JRock Lolita but as in "Long-Island" Lolita) culture of the Western world. Well and to add to it the whole JRock Lolita thing is sort of Japan's own similar obsession with young and "child-like" being sexy/cute/desireable.
25 year old women want to look prepubescent and the prepubescent want to look over 25.
But that's a rant for another day.
NOTE: What you personally feel comfortable with (if your pubic hair IS a bother for instance ) is a completely different thing than what I believe is a societal opinion of pubic hair.

I personally don't see any diffrence in having hair or not. I keep my pubic hair trimmed and contitioned nice and neatly. But I wax my legs, arms and pits o.o.

I personally don't really mess with my pubic hair unless I know I'm going to be intimate soon.
On guys it doesn't really matter to me. if he's comfortable with what he has it's ok. Trimmed is always nice though.

I like what Nopenname said about how society glorifies women being shaved. I totally agree with her theory and it disgusts me that society is like that. I dislike how the normal double standard is women are expected to shave all their body hair, but men are expected to only shave facial hair (unless they are an athelete and need to shave their body hair). It seems to me to be a psychological problem, body hair is seen as masculine, and if a female has it, maybe she seems more threatening, so society is slowly leaning towards females being shaved all over and appearing less threatening. Which to me is a load of bullshit, maybe if people who "demand" that their female partner shave everywhere knew how much trouble it was, maybe they would be quiet.
As for what I do, I rarely shave anything. I sometimes shave my underarms if I'm going to be wearing a sleeveless shirt. Sometimes, if I feel like shaving my legs I will. I only rarely shave my pubic hairs unless my partner asks me to, or I feel like it. I hate the itching and bumps that result from shaving, thus I don't do it often. I think body hair on both females and males is beautiful.
For what I prefer on my partner, its really up to him. I like him all natural, trimmed or shaved, whichever he feels like. However, shaved can be irritating during sex sometimes.

I trim. Do what I do. Keep it neat and tidy. I don't like the jungle effect.
He does what he does.
*shrug* Never really discussed it in depth. xD

Speaking as someone who shaves...
I don't do it because it makes me look like a lolita, or anything like that. I shave my underarms because it's comfortable. I shave my legs because then I can wear skirts and such. I also shave my legs because it makes them smooth, and my boyfriend likes smooth clean skin. I shave my pubic area for the same reason - he likes how it feels, not how it makes me look.
For my boyfriend, I don't mind his pubic hair, facial hair or chest hair. Sometimes he'll let his facial hair grow out long because he knows I like it, and other times he'll keep it short or shaved. No big deal. Pubic hair is also his own choice, because it doesn't matter to me either way.
I think sometimes in certain cases, it might be necessary for a woman to shave her underarms, for reasons like BO or it can be seen through clothing.
I sort of agree that society glorifies women being shaved - underarms, legs, and pubic area. However, not all of us who shave do it to achieve a certain 'look" - some of us do it for personal preference, partner's preference, or just for better hygiene.

I know I tend to get on the diatribe rather quickly.
I added a bit haphazardly at the end there that what you PERSONALLY prefer in the way of pubic hair, or your partner seems to like in pubic hair is not necessarily what I was getting at.
More just Society in general. People who will say that pubic hair is "gross" etc.
I mean I don't like the look of my leg hair but I tend to only shave my underarms when I start to get itchy...I'm fairly lucky as I have light hair anyway and little of it.
But I've never shaved my pubic hair. I've never had any reason to.
