She walked into another vast corridor, one of the many in the last half hours, unable to distinguish one hallway from the next. It was an understatement to say that the reaper had been lost for quite some time now. As a new student, it was entirely understandable. The entirely of not knowing your school, your classmates, or even where your room was.
At the beginning, she had nearly been lost in the flood of students. When she finally managed to stumble out into an empty hallway, she could only sigh in relief. She could breathe. But if she thought that was terrifying, getting lost in Amityville's hallways were certainly worse.
Her slightly dusty exterior belied her current circumstances of being lost along with hiding a few times in several closetswhen sighting Amytiville's scarier spooks that caused her to draw her clothes further around her. She peeked beyond the corner of another corridor. Her face could only be described as D: at the sight of another dead end. She had been following the map when it blew away, causing her to go "!!" and left her to memory. Which was not that great, unfortunately for her.
She looked left, right, and then left again. "U-um.." She stood up, "could you please tell-" The occupant phased through the wall, leaving the little reaper alone again. She looked forlornly down, rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand.

Vaith was checking the walls for the little marks Tomoko had left behind throughout school. It was a little odd to see a boil staring so intently at a wall, trying to figure out if it was a scratch .. or an obscure marking by the demoness. He was late to class. Vaith was always late to class. It wasn't a big deal. Bent down low to examine a tomoko-height-based-marking-possibly, Vaith looked up to see a ghoul down the hall .. No visible sighs of undead or demoness.
Not a ghost either. Her stammer drew his red eyes toward her downcasted expression, cupping a hand around his mouth to call loudly down the hall. He was too lazy to actually go up to her and all, tilting his head upwards. His voice came out in a lazy drawl, tipping his head in a nod to gesture towards her.
"Hey. Where are you heading?"
The silhouette looked a tiny bit familiar. But Vaith had absolutely no clue where or how it could have been familiar. There were very few ghouls he knew in this school and this ghoul wasn't one of them. Hm.

She was late. She was late, she was late, she was late. The Baku practically sprinted down the halls, her long hair flying out behind her as she turned sharply at the corners. Considering that she usually liked being a few minutes early, the fact that she was late was freaking her out a bit. As she rounded another corner, two voices reached her ears--first, a hesitant female voice, and then a familiar male one.
"Oh, Vaith! And...?" Halting to an abrupt stop, she stared down at the hallway curiously, eyes wide as her gaze flickered from one reaper to the other. "Are you lost?" The question was directed to the ghoul, and she leaned forward, tilting her head with a friendly smile. The fact that she was late for her own engagement was completely forgotten.
Hmm, she didn't recall seeing this ghoul around before. Could she be new? She glanced up at Vaith before turning her attention back to the ghoul reaper. "If you're lost, Vaith and I can show you the way." Did she just drag the boil into this without his permission?
Yes. Yes she did.

Lacie's first reaction was to jump- and hide behind an open closet door while she was at it. Her head only protruded the slightest bit -- her golden eyes looking timidly at both the male and female student. The golden irises blinked before responding. One foot stepped backwards, looking like she might retreat before she stepped a bit forward. It was a little like when you left food out for an shy animal. "v-Vaith and you?" She repeated, a slightly incredulous expression residing on her face. T..they would help? They wouldn't ignore her? In the back of her mind, the name Vaith sounded awfully familiar.. didn't something similar happen a long time ago? But any knowledge was pushed aside by her nervousness.
Lacie knew inutitively that the male was a existence like her. As for the other girl, she wasn't exactly sure. But she was awfully pretty.
"I'm.. I'm lost." Her face blushed red as she said it, clutching the folds of her dress, not quite looking at them. She wasn't used to such easy friendliness or smiles. "Are you sure that it wouldn't be too much trouble?" She had been lost for quite some time and left to her own devices, she would end up in a corner rather than her own classroom.
"Oh!" And as if she suddenly realized her rudeness, she shyly introduced herself- "I'm Lacie." Her eyes drew up to the other girl, "May I ask your name?" She asked hesitantly, was it okay to ask..? After she had forgotten her own name, no less.

Lacie. Huh. Sounded familiar. It also sounded .. well.. like Lace. Vaith didn't know much about lace but he was sure Xiu would, wearing dresses and all. He stuffed his hands in his pockets, staring off to the side as Xiu took over the conversation. But his own name caught his attention-- Did .. Xiu just drag Vaith into this?
Oh no. Vaith was finally getting un-lost and he didn't want to help someone. He wanted to take a nap. Not baby-sit. It was trouble. Vaith just wasn't stupid enough to voice it. He sent Xiu the look that expressed the look. But it was also a look of defeat. Vaith put his hands on his hips and sighed. "I guess. Hell, Ill even teach her Tomoko's symbols."
The little kitsune had been a genius.

Oh! This ghoul seemed to be very shy, didn't she? When she thought about it, Xiu had been pretty shy when she first arrived as well--she only came out of her shell after a couple of weeks of meeting new people and mingling. Well then, if she was nervous, Xiu would do what she could to make this ghoul feel welcome at Amityville.
The baku gave a little wag of her tail and smiled as Lacie introduced herself."My name is Xiu-Ying. Everyone just calls me Xiu, though." Clasping her hands together in front of her, she offered Lacie a polite bow before straightening back up. "You're new here, I presume?"
She turned just as Vaith sent her a look, a look that Xiu returned in the form of wide, pleading eyes and an innocent tilt of her head. Didn't he want to help this poor ghoul find her way around the school? Fortunately, it looked like he had already given in even before she shot him her best puppy-eyes. Clapping her hands together, she turned back and grinned at Lacie.
"It's settled, then--Vaith and I will show you around."
She had no idea what "Tomoko's symbols" were, though.

She nodded, confirming Xiu's assumption.
"T-thank you!" She quickly bowed to return Xiu's bow, although her golden eyes still looked worried. She tilted her head to stare at the both of them, her fretful expression worried if she were causing trouble for the both of them. "Xiu.. Vaith?" She tried to address, if it was okay to call them that? But they had told her those names so it must be okay! Although she could probably call him Mister.. Sir.. Uncle.. Lacie wondered which one the older reaper would like?
Meanwhile, something inside of her pocket rustled. Obviously, it was a souvenir from one of her trips in the closet. "Shh." She held a finger to her white gloved hand, telling the puffball that resided in her clothes. It wouldn't do to have them caught!
The part about Tomoko's symbols flew over her head as well.. Lacie had absolutely no idea what Vaith was talking about.
