Patrolling.
It wasn't something the page of Cosmos had actually set out on his own to do before. In the past it had always been an accident. He'd went out powered up just for safety, or he'd happened upon something bad and powered up at the time. But tonight was the first time Bimini had ever actually set out with the express purpose of patrol.
Once he was there though.. he wasn't actually sure what to look for. He tried to hang towards the alleyways.. his outfit ridiculous enough that.. he didn't really want to make up stories for to people he might run into.
He was getting frusterated, almost ready to give up when a sound interrupted him, stopping midstep. It was almost like a growl... almost like a scrapping.. He turned back oh so slowly, blinking as he spotted the bright red eyes starring back at him.. it's dark body for the most part hidden in the shadows.
Well.. he had wanted a youma hadn't he?
Now he wasn't so sure. His fingers tightening around the cool metal bowl between his hands, pivoting back to face his monster.
Maybe water was it's weakness and it's melt away. Yeahhhhhh.

Draconis had been hopping rooftops that night. Not because of a patrol though. Well it was supposed to be a patrol, but after about five minutes the senshi girl got bored and started testing the limits of Destiny City's rooftops.
Boing ... boing. It was like wearing springed shoes. Well no, it didn't really feel like springs. It was more like someone had shrunk the rooftops, and a distance that was normally 10-20 feet ended up feeling like a foot or two.
Needless to say, Draconis liked it. More power was always a good thing. You could never be too in control.
A sudden jolt shocked her mind though. It wasn't painful, nor did it feel good. It was like a little alert in her mind, a little "you've got mail!" for the brain. She couldn't put her finger on it, but it was telling her there were two signals near her. One was sincerely sinister ... felt like a youma (she had fought a few and was learning to recognize that one), and the other ... she couldn't tell. It felt neutral? Neither good nor evil. Possibly both?
Whatever it was, Draconis was set on investigating, but not interfering. She was going to gather some information first this time.

It didn't take more then a few seconds for the youma to take the initiative, not particular keen on having a staring contest. It lunged, it's full form becoming clearer as it slipped into the dim lights of the alleyway, and Bimini reacted in the way he usually did, bowl tipped quickly forward.
The bowlful of water didn't even phase the youma, shaking it's head only once as it continued in it's leap towards the knight. Luckily he'd been able to backpedal far enough out of the path, cussing under his breath.
Why had he decided this was a good idea? Why did the youma have to be so big!?
Bowl tightly in his hands he swung it downwards at the monster, landing a hit on it's head with a clang. Of course that only seemed to piss it off more, and suddenly something shot from it's back, looping around the shoulders of the Cosmos knight.
"Hey hey hey! No touchie!!"
"I need an adult!!!" He wailed as he attempted to hit the thing again even with semi restrained arms.

Draconis blew her bangs out of her face in a huff. Why didn't these knights and senshi and negaverse ever seem competent? She just wanted a chance to watch and learn, but it seemed as though she had to do everything herself. She played with her rings mercilessly as the man seemed to fail to even leave a dent on this youma. Wasn't anyone able to handle anything on their own?
Sighing, Sailor Draconis stood up, clearly bored with this man already. Besides, seems like he needed some help. A thought dawned on her; what if he wasn't powered? Like he was just one of those weird dress-uppers* and he wasn't actually capable?
No, that couldn't be right. He definitely had a signal. That just gained another eye roll from Draconis. She clearly hadn't learned any humility yet.
"I'm no adult," she announced, "But I think I can handle this a bit better than you." In a flurry of red and white and gold, she jumped down from her rooftop perch and struck a half-assed pose.
Coming to Bimini's side, she said, "Just stand back and try not to get hurt?" She was starting to sound a lot like Chaonis, wasn't she. Ick. Draconis pushed that thought far, FAR, away.
Rushing towards the youma, she formed her diamond with her hands and said, "Draconis Breath of FLAME." She wasn't in the mood for any fancy hand-to-hand combat. She just wanted this youma dusted.

Oh thank god! When he'd called out he'd hardly believed he'd be lucky enough that anyone would be able to hear it. And even with the oh... less then nice comments Bimini was still absolutely elated. He probably would have clapped with joy if his arms weren't being restrained by the youma.
She was a senshi like Vulcan, that was easy enough to tell, but his eyes widened as she did her magic, having yet to see something as remotely awesome in his time as a knight. "Holy s**t!"
As the youma was hit with a wave of fire it released the knight, apendages flailing wildly before it tried to recoil on itself in pain. It wasn't dead, but it might as well have been. One or two good kicks would probably take out the wounded and wailing monster.
Bimini hoped back once he was finally free, doing just as she'd suggested with eyes as big as saucers, sounding like a broken record. "No s**t you can handle this better!"
"Holy s**t that's so AWESOME!" He mumbled beneath his breath, still quite in awe. He wanted to breath freaking fire damnit!
He was able to draw himself out of his fangirling long enough to lob the bowl at the pitiful monster.

Okay Draconis took back all previous comments about disliking this knight. Maybe he was a wimp. Maybe he sucked at fighting anything.
But the way he COMPLIMENTED her. Draconis drank up every single word that came out of his mouth with absolute dignity. She preened herself like a peacock getting ready to impress its mate. Only this man was far from her man. She just liked compliments.
As she was soaking up his compliments, Bimini threw his bowl at the youma, who weakly collapsed onto the ground, not quite defeated, but definitely not a threat. To defeat the youma, Draconis strutted over like the peacock she was and stomped the youma's head, straight into dust.
Quite matter of factly, she said, "Yes, well you need to be a bit more careful next time," but you could tell she was secretly satisfied with Bimini's response.
Draconis might as well have pet Bimini like a dog, really. "What exactly was your ah ... bowl supposed to do anyways?" she said, with a hint of elitist in her voice.

It was probably not uncommon for Draconis to get into fights with other senshi. Pissing matches of pride so to say. Because with the great power given to them it seemed... a large portion of senshi, knights, and even the negaverse carried around their pride like giant badges of honor. Bimini though?
He was shameless. His ego.. while not to the point of hating himself or thinking poorly was so balanced and comfortable with where he was, and making other people around him feel good, the he did not seem to notice the way she looked down at him. Nor did he notice her preening as anything overly special or over the top. She had done something amazing, was something amazing. So it only made sense that she would know how wonderful she was.
The senshi received a sheepish grin as he rubbed the back of his head lightly with her suggestion. Certainly he'd heard that before. "I'll try my best."
The mention of his bowl sent him forward to collect the bowl out of the dissapearing youma dust, shaking the metal container mildly after the fact. "It doesn't really do anything that I'm aware of. You can use it like a shield sometimes... or throw it at things or hit things with it."
"Sometimes I try splashing the water inside at people but that rarely does much of anything else. It's good for a drink or cleaning up a mess" He mused after a moment. It was an oft mentioned joke, his weapon being a 'cosmic joke'.
"Bimini, page of the Cosmos!" He added after a moment, offering a hand out lightly in greeting.

Draconis eyed the bowl with a critical eye. As much as she wanted to scorn him for being such a wimp, it didn't really seem like he could help it. Draconis still didn't know whether or not every got weapons or powers or ... Or bowls. She would be pretty pissed if all she got was a bowl too. Of course, she would work the bowl like it was going out of style.
"Draconis. Sailor Draconis," she said flatly, still eyeing the bowl. She noticed that the water didn't seem to run out, even after he threw it. Well that was worth something. Maybe he could control the water? That would be something fun to play with. She daintily offered her hand out to him as if to say "kiss it." It was clear she was enjoying her position as leader.
Though she was clearly quite a few years younger than this man, Draconis couldn't help but enjoy his humor. It was light, and at the moment Draconis could use all the happiness she could soak up. It was oddly reminiscent of some feeling she had, but she absolutely could not place it anywhere. Either way, it was an enjoyable feeling to have someone so quick witted.
Or maybe she was just enjoying this because she got to be the queen bee for once.
"Yes well, I'm glad you're safe," she said, a tad awkwardly. What came next? "Glad you're not dead, see you later man!" Of course not.

Bimini wasn't exactly a gentlemen, but he'd played enough videogames and seen enough tv in his life to recognize the antiquated motion. Her hands was taken and he pressed his lips momentarily against her knuckles before releasing it and giving an over the top little bow, his grin wide and playful.
"You Sailors sure got the better deal here." He mused, but not so much out of jealousy. He was simply stating a fact as he saw it. And besides he was a talker, he had a hard time shutting up sometimes. "Have you been doing it a long time?"
He still couldn't get out of his head how cool it was. Had the fire actually come from her mouth like a dragon? Or was it a trick like those people who blew fire with alcohol and a lighter?

Draconis' eyes went wide when Bimini actually did kiss her hand. Who did that?! She immediately retracted the outstretched hand and rubbed it as though he had slapped it instead of kissing it. Note to self: don't do that again.
She was still in a bit of aftershock, but she managed, "So you're not a senshi as well?" A hint of suspicion danced in her tone. She had actually met quite a few knights, but she didn't know they were knights. She just figured they were senshi that gave off a funny aura signal, and had weapons. Though a ... bowl ... didn't really constitute as a weapon now, did it?
Now she was on full alert. What if this wasn't actually a senshi, but a youma in disguise? Could youma even disguise this way? As humans?
Draconis bit her lip. Her naivete was leaking through, as it always seemed to do. At least this Bimini fellow wasn't mocking her like a certain danger menshi...
"Not long, but enough time to acclimate," was all she gave to him. Draconis thought herself quite entitled, but not nearly as experienced as she wanted to be. Power was more important than experience though, right?

An eyebrow quirked in curiousity at her reaction to his 'kiss', but he didn't question it out loud, simply curious, amused.
"Nope, I'm a knight. Well.. technically a page." He answered dutifully, pausing a moment to scratch his head as he continued. "Though.. I haven't really gotten an answer yet on what the difference is.. I do know that you guys get cool powers and we get weapons instead."
"I fight youma and save people though, so I assume that means were on the same side?" It was probably pretty hard to imagine him fighting youma or saving anyone, but it had happened before! Really! Even if it usually was luck or blubbering like a baby that got him out of situations.
"I haven't been doing it that long either. But luckily I've ran into a few other knights. Even joined a group of them."

A knight. Alright, she could understand that much. It was just like in the movies right? Handsome knights coming to save the fair maidens, and defeat all the bad things, like dragons. Although ... in this case, it seemed the fair maiden was saving the knight. As for dragons, well ... the irony in that was quite apparent.
"So ... your ah ... bowl is your weapon," she said. It was a statement, not a question. She was mostly just trying to sort all of this out in her head, and talking out loud seemed the best way to do it.
Shaking her head, she said, "Mmmm same side? I suppose so." Were they the same side? Draconis only knew that she was aligned with the senshi, not much beyond that. ********* hadn't even mentioned knights. She knew they had a funny aura on her "senshi aura radar" thing, but not much beyond that.
A group of them? So that meant there were more? "What exactly do you knight fellows ah ... do?" She knew back in the old days they would run around slaying monsters and saving maidens in bulky tin outfits, but she couldn't imagine it was the same way nowadays. Then again, maybe the slaying monsters part was true. They had just beaten up a youma after all.

She received a nod to her statement about the bowl, a very knowing glance included. He knew it sucked. He was often the first to be tossing around jokes about it really.
"Well... I guess." He seemed to think for a moment before answering with a mild shrug. "Working by day and playing white knight by night. Kill those nasty monster things... help people that are being attacked... and try to figure out what's going on between the senshi and the negaverse."
"Sometimes we have meetings too. The last one had cookies." He added with a playful grin and wink. The ever tempting cookie.
"But other then that, not a whole lot really. I don't know about all of them but I've got a job in the day. Can't be out for too long each night."

Draconis raised an eyebrow at the cookie comment. Now she REALLY wasn't sure if this guy was serious or not. Was he maybe just toying with her, trying to extol secrets? Or maybe he was just some nerd who was running around pretending to be a super hero.
Yet he had an energy signal. You couldn't really fake an energy signal. Sailor Draconis nodded though. "Yeah, we do pretty much the same side over here. Fight disgusting ... THINGS. Youma. Yes." She shuddered a bit. It was no secret that she was a bit scarred by all the youma slime she'd been covered in. At least they always disappeared into dust when they were finished.
"Only," she added, "We try and figure out what knights are about." Matter of factly, she shifted her weight from one foot to the other and then crossed her arms over her chest. "I can at least guarantee you that we oppose the negaverse." That was all she was going to say on the matter. She wasn't going to reveal anything big until this "knight" proved who he really was.

It wasn't a bad thing to be cautious. Knights were new and strange in the scheme of thing... Just as Dark Mirror senshi were new mysteries to anything. Knights were supposed to fight for order, certainly... but it didn't mean that all of them walked the line of light. In fact.. many seemed to live more in the gray then their senshi counterparts, or atleast except or believe that perhaps the negaverse wasn't as bad as they seemed.
And since Bimini really wasn't trying to dig for information, oh no he was just being friendly and social, he did not seem at all bothered by her answers.
"I don't know how much I can help, but if you ever have questions about knights I can try."
It seemed the early dinner and the mention of cookies must have triggered something that he'd been too busy to notice before, because a loud grumble sounded. A sheepish grin touched him, hand settling upon the protesting belly. "But.. maybe not tonight. Unless you're hungry too?"
