Miss Marinara Sauce OK, major epiphany just now! Right after the Teselecta says that the Question is "hidden in plain sight," the Doctor asks it, "What is the Question?" What if "What is the Question?" is the Question?! And Silence will fall when the person who understands that that is the Question asks it! ...Does that make any sense? sweatdrop At this point, it's hard to say. There are too many questions. Plus it must be hidden in plain sight. *thinks* I'm so rewatching the series to this point.

Okay, so, my speculation is this:
1. It's hidden in plain sight. Something asked often.
2. They've made references to past Doctors within Doctors 9-11 (Ha. 911. Sorry, off track), but they tend now to stick to the Doctors which are most recent. Namely, the 11th Doctor referring to the Cyber King stomping over Victorian England (that's David Tennant's time). So, if it's hidden in plain sight, I imagine it'll stick to Doctors 9-11 for something to ask.
3. It's "the first question, oldest question in the universe".
Okay, my only guesses would be these two questions:
"Why...?" (the '...' being, obviously, a question someone would be asking in a wild attempt to make sense of the universe. Maybe, though, it's just 'Why?')
"What is the question?" (I thought of it when the Doctor kept asking it, I don't know)
I ramble. I'm sorry. redface smile

That would be so awesome if we were right about that. It's so simple, but it's a big enough mindf**k for Moffat to go for it.

Miss Marinara Sauce shappyshap What you said. Hitchhiker's guide. And then they find out the answer is 42 and they're all like D: Haha, yeah, but what do you think the question is? Because that was never really stated in the books...
It was supposed to be the answer to "life, the universe, and everything." >.>
