The ancient Greek Hell that includes Hades, Tartarus, the River Styx, and the Palace. Ruled by Hades and Persephone, and Hades daughter Mari. Many dead souls come here to rest, or to be punished. NO LIVING MORTAL MAY ENTER THE PALACE

Mari Mari pouted in her throne, her fingers tapping on the ornate steel armrests as she breathed a bit of fire to amuse herself. She glared at her sprit guad and rolled her eyes at him as her father entered the room regally, his wife on his arm as they walked to their thrones. "Ya know Dad, Seph. No one is in here besides us, and I honestly don't care how great you enter, I still want to get out of this room. You guys should have figured it out by now that I HATE being here." She scolded and saw Seph sigh, and Hades cover his face with his hand as he slowly shook his head.

Persephone She gave Mari a tired look, wishing she and her step daughter weren't constantly at odds. She knew that it was a combination of her father being over protective as a result of the soul that had injured the godling, and that her goddess mother never tried to see if she had produced a child, but she always wanted to get close to the girl. Mari only looked slightly younger than herself, but the demi-god was a full six millenia younger, and a child to herself. Persephone wakled to her throne and ruffled the girl's hair, hearing a nagging protest and fire blowing out her nose in her playful irritaion as she tried to smooth down her blue and black hair, even though they all knew it would never happen, her brown eyes going to the scar that marred the right eye that was as green as the grass on earth when she visited. It was a source of guilt for them both, but even Gods can't know everything, and they couldn't know that the rogue spirit would go to the child's wing and attempt to harm the godling. "Mari, please just humor us." She pleaded, and haded her a candy bar. She knew that chocolate bribes worked best and she didn't want her to burn something.

Hades He watched his daughter and wife share an uncommon moment of friendly banter, and his daughter grin and tear open the candy as he smiled at them. He was always happy when they could get along, and wished that she didn't haave to resort to bribing Mari to get her to be nice. "Mari, when this is done, you may go. Tyrinus will be on a bit of a leave today." He told his child and saw her grin and squirm with joy.

PersephonePersephone tried not to fidget as they waited for the spirits they were meeting. The Fates were certainly not in a good mood to shear so many lives at once. She herself had tried to pursuade Hades to allow Mari to be else where, but he had insisted on the demi-goddess joining them. She gave the younger Goddess a sympathetic look that was missed and resisted the urge to give her leave. This was her husband's domain, not hers. She had to respect and obey his wishes.

MariShe finished the candy bar and jammed in her earbuds, closing her eyes as she listened to what the mortals called Heavy Metal. She loved that and all otehr music, but she had the urge to hear Brothers of Metal at the moment, her head bobbing slightly with the beats. She growled when her father yanked on the cord and glared at her, then she stuck out her tongue when he smoothed back her rainbow colored bangs, gently avoiding the scar on her face. They all knew how the others felt about it, but no one said a word.

PersephonePersephone gently placed her hand over the one Hades had left on the ornate silver armrest, knowing as much as the other two. She gently beckoned a small spirit and was given a cup of nectar, thanking him with a nod and a smile. She placed it on the small table beside her throne and leaned forward to see past Hades and to Mari, who just got poked by her father. Persephone lightly slapped his bicept. "Hades! Be nice!" She scolded gently.

HadesHades laughed at the sudden double team on him, Mari poking him side and making him jump slightly from the tickling sensations, and his wife playfully slapping at his arm. "Alright you two! I resign!" She laughed and the high fived each other before he turned his attention to the main halls, a voice only he could fully hear alerting him of the guests drawing near. "Our guests have arrived. Remember your duty. No matter how much you wish to forget." He told them, still watching the great doors with a grave look.

Sarah "Nanny" Miller Sarah looked around the throne room with a kind of detached curiosity, a small smile playing about her lips as she nodded her thanks to the spirit guide. She folded her wrinkled hands and stood patiently in the midst of her former coworkers, waiting for whatever judgement Hades would give her.
Sarah wasn't as upset as many of the servants. She hadn't blamed Eros for killing her when she realized that she had let Iona get away, and she had lived a long life anyhow. 'I just hope my little Iona is doing alright... Gods above, hear the prayers of a humble old woman... Keep Iona, daughter of Eros and Psyche, safe from harm...'

MariMari felt her jaw drop, and she gripped the edges of her chair in her rage. She had never seen so many outside of a war or natural disaster brought before them at once. As long as she had lived, she thought that she had seen it all. One soul stood out in particular, and elderly woman in the front center and her green eyes pricked with tears. Oh Zues.... Why do you allow such horrors among the mortals? She asked the great God silently, not understanding who these truly were.

HadesHades looked at the God's felled servants and gave them a gentle nod of respect. "Welcome to the Underworld. I am Hades, and this is Persephone, and my daughter Mari. Please, are you in need of any refreshments?" He asked them and waved in some spirit servants, the men and women offering them drink and food to ease them being before them. He waited for them to finish selecting their items beofre speaking again, his voice still kind. "I understand you are the servants of Eros, who were charged with the care of his daughter. When she went missing, he felled you in his rage. As a God, he will go unpunished. Please, you must-" His words were cut off by his daughters words, "ARE YOU INSANE?!"

MariMari was on her feet and glaring at her father, the flames that were usually under her skin bursting to life on her body and clothes, doing damage to neither. "How can we just let him get away with this Father?! HOW?! He murdered people! He slaughtered them wholesale! What, am I supposed to just accept this? He may not be brought to his knees as mortals are, but he should know that actions like this among Gods are not acceptable!" She yelled at him then walked towards the woman her flames pulling back into her skin aside from the soothing fires on her hands. She knew that the spirits my be unnerved by the flames, but she couldn't allow them to be unavenged. "Grandmother, what is your name?" She asked the old woman before her father called her back to her throne. She turned on him and glared, flames rising between the thrones and the souls. "YOU WANTED ME HERE FATHER! WELL I'M HERE!" She roared back the fire slicing at the souls attempting to get through to stop her. She looked back at the woman, and gently touched her shoulder to comfort her, "What is your name Grandmother, so I know who I am swearing an oath to. I will swear this with all these souls as my witnesses." She said in a clam and gentle voice, hearing her father trying to break through, and slowly mananging.

Sarah "Nanny" Miller Sarah watched the angry, young-looking goddess with amusement, smiling without fear when she was approached by her. "I am Sarah Miller. Please, My Lady, don't be too upset with Eros. He only loves his daughter. He should not have taken the lives of these others, but I accept his punishment of me as justice." She brushed tears away from her eyes with the back of her hand, attempting to be discreet about it so the goddess wouldn't see them. "I failed in my duty to protect Iona. Avenge these others if you will, My Lady, but I need no vengeance."

Mari Mari looked at the woman and brushed away a few stray tears gently. "No one deserves to die for a mistake. I have been charged with the care of souls, and I am no fool to allow this to go unpunished." She told her gently, then shaped a flame into a dagger and made a shallow cut on her left palm, saying in a clear and strong voice, "Sarah Miller, I swear this to you, and to all those souls before me, that I, Mari, daughter of Hades and Aphrodite, will not rest until I bring justice for this crime. No creaute, mortal, or divine, has the right to produce such a slaughter." She let a drop of blood fall to the floor and solidify into a gem, picking it up and handing it to the woman. "This is a symbol of my oath. When it shatters, I have completed my oath. May you all find peace in Hades, and I promise to you Sarah Miller, I will find Iona and keep her safe for you." She said and her eyes glowed, the souls fading slowly to go to their new home in Hades.

Sarah "Nanny" Miller Sarah listened and smiled, only closing her hand over the gem after Mari had sworn to protect Iona. "I will hold you to your oath, My Lady. Gods be with you." Still clutching the jewel as a precious lifeline, and praying silently for Iona's safety, Sarah went to make a new home in the Underworld.
