Dhavlen stared up in the tree at a frightened young leopard. He had a cruel smirk on his face. The young leopard had looked at him the wrong way and Dhavlen couldn't have that, plus what else could he do on this boring day? "Having fun up there," he yelled up at the leopard with a laugh. He wondered how long he could keep the scarred thing up there? Down where he was there was plenty of water and it wouldn't be too difficult for him to catch a small hare for a meal and still be able to watch the leopard. If the leopard did decide to escape he would just chase him until the leopard couldn't run anymore.

Dhavlen's devious smirk grew more. He really hoped the leopard would try and escape. Catching them was just as fun as tormenting them. Maybe if he was lucky another creature would come around for him to chase up the tree. He laughed at the thought. As much fun as this was he knew it would only take a few days for him to get bored, if that. Until than, though he would have his fun.

"I'm feeling a bit hungary. You look like you have some nice meet on your bones!" he called up to the whimpering leopard.

Özge was finally deemed an adult! The lioness had been preparing for this day since she was a juvenile. Looking up to a heroic lioness who by some miraculous feat thwarted an 'evil' hyena who had been bullying Özge. Since then the girl grew up with a dream to be as much of a hero as the lioness who saved her. Going a bit overboard with the story she crafted of this selfless crusader for the weak.

Özge went above and beyond what the sensible lioness did for her so, so long ago.

As the adult trekked through the tall grasses, she relished in the feel of the blades against her flank. Eyes shut and smiling broadly. "I wonder how long it'll take for me to-..." Her voice caught in her throat by mid sentence, snapping both eyes open once the distinctly 'evil' laughter lifted not too far off to her right. "Show time!" The lioness announced eagerly, bounding in the direction of the noise. As she jogged in that direction, Özge got a clear view of the scene as it unfolded. A cowering male stuck up in a tree with a cheetah prowling down below. "You there!" The words were uttered in a roar, "Leave be that leopard!" Özge stated sternly after hearing Dhavlen patronize the frightened leopard.

She gave the quarry a fleeting glance, seeing the battered male shaking like a leaf. Her scowl only grew, "It'd be wise to use those strong legs to LEAVE here, cheetah."

Dhavlen stopped what he was doing to see who was speaking to him. To his surprise it was a colorful lioness. He smiled, a bit arrogantly at her. With all his strength, he held back from laughing. Who was this young lioness to tell him to leave. He wasn't doing anything to her so what should she even care? He slowly, but confidently walked up to her, examining her with his eyes. Now she would be fun to play with, he thought to himself wickedly.

"I'm sorry darling, but I was just having some fun," he said to her. "Though I do intend to contiue my little game with my leopard friend unless you would rather play with me." He gave her a playful wink.

Dhavlen watched her careful, wondering what her next move would be. If she did intend on protecting the leopard he would have no choice but to attack her. He had never had a problem attacking others, even if they were female. Heck he would torment a cub if he was bored enough. He hoped that she wouldn't though, it would be a shame to taint that beautiful fur. Perhaps she would be wiser and leave now while she still had a chance.

Özge was put off by the male's arrogance. Not quite used to chauvinism. And Dhavlen practically dripped with it. Standing firm, both paws dug into the dirt to further settle her into a grounded position. His smile met with a frown. Testing the waters, this would be a fine practice for her planned future rescues.

With the male's gaze wandering along her strange coloration, Özge's face heated up in embarrassment. Knowing that her coloration was over the top. Surely he was passing a critical gaze over the multi-colored fur. "Thats how you treat friends?" She replied without so much as a breath in pause. "Looks to me he isn't interested." Lifting her paw, she motioned towards the leopard in question waving him off as a signal he was all in the clear.

As Dhavlen stepped around to inspect her, Özge circled as well to create a shield for the leopard to make his get away. Muscles tensed in preparation, "Just be on your way cheetah. Move along." She knew it was all in vain, but this was a necessary process as a caped crusader! ...note to self, she must acquire a cape.

Dhavlen realized his mistake too late. The leopard escaped as he was staring at the lioness. He could go after him, but that was weak 'prey'. This lioness seemed far more interesting than that weak leopard. "Darling, you scared off my friend! How rude of you," he said jokingly with a grin showing his pointed teeth.

He had meet many creatures, heroes, who felt the need to stand in the way of his fun. This lioness was just like them. She made her choice to be a hero and to stand up to him. He would have to teach her that messing with him was a mistake.

"I have no intention of leaving my lovely lioness," he said, getting closer to her. He wondered how she would react. He would love to get her to attack him first, though he wondered if she had it in her? "My name is Dhavlen by the way. What is yours?" He smiled with charm at her.

Her claws extended in preparation. Digging grooves into the ground, the female kept her gaze fixed solely on the male before her. Scowling as a growl erupted from her throat. Özge didn't like being toyed with. This cheetah wasn't taking her seriously!

Dhavlen stepped closer, which was a mistake. The female was already on edge. Jumpy and hyper attentive. So when the cheetah drew in on the lioness, she took off. Wildly batting her front leg to sweep at the male. A frantic roar mixed with a shrill squeal. "Roooarrrriiii!"

Dhavlen's eyes opened wide with shock, not expecting the female to attack so suddenly. His reaction was slower than normal and he felt her hit him. Hit HIM. This would not do, he would have to think fast, faster than normal. He could not be bested. Not by this lioness not by anyone. If anyone found out he had even gotten injured in a fight, they might realize that he had weaknesses. He backed away quickly, not wanting to get hit away. He could feel the blood drip down his cheek. His amber eyes stared at her cooly as he thought about his options.

“Rather rude aren't you,” he finally said, keeping his distance. He gave her a smile, baring all his teeth. “I was just trying to be your friend and there you go attacking me. Is that the way you make friends? How barbaric.”

He spoke carefully, yet calmly. He watched her movements ready for her to attack. This time he would be on guard, ready for her.

When her paw connected, Özge was genuinely pleased with herself. A small sense of bliss over coming the lioness by the feat. Giving villains a good thrashing wasn't all that hard!

But she didn't continue after the first blow. Because her main aim wasn't to brutally hurt this male. She only wanted to teach him a lesson. Nostrils flared to inhale the sweet scent of blood. A natural response she had, similar to a human smelling freshly baked cookies. It just smells yummy.

But unlike other animals, Özge had a sense of equality towards all creatures. She wasn't looking at Dhavlen as a possible meal, even if other's might have. "I guess everyone can be rude sometimes." She stated frankly, the corners of her maw tugging downwards as she spoke. "Friends aren't cruel. I wouldn't want to be friends with the likes of you." The lioness kept her ground, watching the male back away. She could see he was on the defensive.

Stepping forward, she pondered how she could to follow up? Maybe give him a scare and make him go running? The lioness dropped her torso to the ground, aiming to lunge at the cheetah. Hopefully to drive him in the other direction, away from the scared off leopard.

"You hurt my feelings," he said in a mocking tone.

Dhavlen took a precious moment to think about his options. His best option was to fight back. The moment she pounced he would dodge and than attack. He wouldn't let himself be beaten, especially by a female. It would be such a disgrace. No he couldn't lost. If he had to he would play dirty, though he would much prefer to win honestly, just so he could feel like he won.

"What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to attack me again?" he asked with a malice grin. He wanted tease her a little more before he started his attack. "Aren't you going to attack me some more? You could probably kill me if you wanted to. You would be doing the world a favor getting rid of a meanie bad guy like me." His eyes were watching her curiously to see how she would react.
