Dief gave a silent yawn and stretched his muscles out all the while with his eyes closed. He could hear his other sibling snuffling and wiggling about near his mama. His ear flicked to the whimpering of his one sister and he nuzzled her in comfort. Must have be a bad dream, he thought drowsily.
Brown eyes stared off into space for a few minutes and pondered what he was to do for the day. Hmmmm, play, eat, or go on an adventure? He'd have to wait 'til one of his siblings had woken up in any case. It was no fun going off alone.

Kuu snuffled in her sleep, leg twitching as she chased imaginary prey, featureless (as she hadn't actually seen prey yet) balls of tasty-smelling things on legs. One particularly large twitch cannoned her back paw into one of her sisters sides, causing them to whimper. Kuu whined softly at the noise and rolled over, unintentionally rolling into a patch of warmth that was her brother. Unaware he was awake, she curled into him, chewing on his ear, which was too closer to her mouth to resist. It was amazing how even asleep she could cause trouble.

Dief was almost falling back to sleep, the sounds of his siblings sleeping and the quiet got to him. Suddenly he felt a nipping at his left ear. Frowning he looked over and noticed his sister Kuu eating away on his ear. Snorting he nudged her to stop after awhile as the biting was becoming almost painful. He misjudged his strength and sent her flopping over ontop of their other brother. " Oops." He spoke sleepily and blinked his eyes in shock. "You otay?" He asked his sister incase that had woken her up or not.
It really was interesting to watch his siblings sleep, the way the wiggled, barked, moved...farted. Okay the last one wasn't so pleasant but it was funny to see them suddenly wake up by the noise. "Wanna do sumfin' today Kuu?" He hoped his sister was awake if not I'd have to wait for someone to wake up... and that was no fun. Waiting.

Mnnng, so tired...If asked...
As she rolled on top of her other brother, she was startled into awakeness, rolling off him and stretching out, shaking her head to jolt her brain awake, large ears flopping around comically as she did so. Dark green eyes blinked sleepily before focusing on her brother as she yawned, pink tongue stretching out.
"Yupyup."
Kuu grinned at her brother, eyes crinkling. As she woke up, Kuu's tail started to beat a rhythm on the floor. Unless asleep, Kuu was never still. She was always, always moving. Which was, you know, fine, if you liked to play.
"Yes!" Her tail increased in tempo and she wiggled, ready to play.
"Let's do sumthin' FUN!"
...I'd probably rather be asleep.I'm so sleepy....

"Hmmm what to do, what do to." Dief smiled in amusement at his always-in-motion sister. "...OH! How 'bout we go racin? Or-or um explorin' the wilds! Nuttin' like exploring ones own home!" He tapped his sisters nose lightly in excitement. "How does that sound? Or you wanna to sumfin else?" Generally Dief didn't enjoy the warm weathers of the PekeNa lands but today it wasn't too bad outside and there was a nice breeze going so it made for perfect exploring weather in his mind. "Maybe if we're reaaalll lucky will find sumfin we never'a seen 'afore!" He eyed his sis hopefully before eyeing the land infront of him. Oh the possibilites! He turned back to look at his sister--"Where'd ya go?" He blinked... was his sister playing hide'n'seek without saying go? "Hey!"
Myrina let out a lazy yawn and stretched. A stray sunbeam hit her back and she purred with approval. "Lovely. Absolutely lovely." She sounded drunk but what did she care? This was the first time in ages where she felt lazy enough and relaxed enough to let her mane down. What would the day bring? Maybe a nice walk around would get rid of the little belly she had been getting lately. Yeah. Pfft--oh maybe she would run into someone or better yet mud! Dief frowned. He hadn't known his sister could be so good at hiding! He had been searching for hours and hours and hours and--oh! Water. "Fhirsty!" He shouted with delighted and hurried on over to sip the cool clear liquid. "Ahh deli'ous!" He was oblivious to the predator behind him. The faint sound of high pitched barking caught and held her attention. "Ugh," Her eyes flattened to her skull and her eyes narrowed trying to pinpoint where the noise was coming from. Was it a dying animal? She bit her lip to check it out or walk away? ... She sighed. Curse her feelings for making them want to help those in need rather than self-preservation. Shaking her head she took off as quietly as she could there was no sense in giving away her position if there was a fight happening."Please oh please leave me alone!" Dief was in a panic. He was alone with no family and all he wanted to do was play! Now look what happened. He tried to with hold the whimper that wanted to escape but it squeaked out anyways. The hyena looked very scary and blood thirsty. He looked at his tiny claws and then back at the predator that was stalking him. This wasn't good at all.She took a deep breath and wrinkled her nose. Hyena and...wild dog? How odd... one smelled like infant and the other...horrid. Was it rapid? Diseased? This wasn't a good thing. Myrina picked up her pace and leaping gracefully onto a rock to peer downward. A silent snarl escaped from her curled mouth when she took in the scene. A pup was boxed in by the crazed hyena. Myrina wasn't took fond of the canine species but... this was a pup. A baby that was being attacked or possibly killed. She had to do something, so she let out a loud roar that echoed the walls.Dief jumped and yelped at the loud noise. He wasn't the only one to react at such a bone chilling sound. The hyena jerked and scuttled backwards towards the water. To his horror Dief had spotted a lioness and by the looks of her expression... she wasn't too happy. "Oh no...mama...help."She was frightening the child she knew this but she had to be like this inorder to frighten off the hyena as well. By the looks of things it appeared to be working. Myrina leapt down onto a branch and heard a faint cracking noise. A blush almost rose up onto her face. Mental note, stay away from the sweet things for a while. She almost missed it but luckily the yelp of the pup brought her back to reality. The hyena had taken mindless courage and charged straight at her claws foreward. "Oh no you don't!" Fangs and claws bared she reacted. Myrina spotted the water and noted how the currents were picking up speed. Excellent. Now to finish this off. From his hidden spot behind a huge rock Dief's eyes widen in awe as the lion dispatched the hyena with awesome strategy and skill. "Wow." He watched as the lion hearded the hyena towards the water with swipes of claw as well as fang. He bit his lip and noted they were both distracted so he began to back up. Success, the hyena had fallen in and was taken away by the current. He froze when purple eyes turned back to him. The lioness didn't move or say anything. Feeling brave he shouted, "Thank you!" He watched as the female walked away. Time to head home... there would be no adventures for this pup... well for now.Myrina was amused. The wild dog certainly was a cute little thing. She nodded in her at his words before waving a farewell. She had been lucky this time... no wounds and the enemy had been taken care of quite quickly. It felt good to help those that couldn't help themselves. Maybe should would go back to laying in the sun again. Yeah that sounded nice.END.
