BATTLEBattles are simple and if written well can even lead to some breeding RPs for you combat junkies. Since dice are the common battle-decider around here, we use dice.
Very basic dice.
A valid battle has 5 attack/reaction posts per character. Each post MUST roll one 10 sides dice, just like the open meta plot RPs. Any roll from 1-4 is a miss or easily dodged, with minor, negligible damage. 5-9 goes from a glancing blow to a really vicious hit. A 10, being hardest, essentially knocks the victim on their butt, and
they lose the ability to roll on their next turn. So a player who gets hit with a 10 for example has only 4 posts of battle, but should still react, ETC. The player with the most points after the 5 is a 'winner' until the final hit. The final hits are nasty indeed.
The 'losing' SoA gets one retaliatory strike. This is a cheap blow IC and even nastier means it can steal victory. A D20 must be rolled, and the post needs to note it as retaliatory to be valid. There's also one option-- you CAN try to kill the other SoA, ONLY with the owner's permission and if the dice allow. You must note in bold if it risks becoming a death blow or if it will not. A role of 15+ CAN KILL if Death is allowed and will. If Death isn't something asked, it will
knock the victim out of further battles.. Retaliation stinks, my friend.
Before each update we will tally victories so post the point totals! Including from Retaliation! and the next story segment will go from there! YOU control the war's violence!
It also helps to use the tag [BATTLE[ to denote battle RPs.
razz Else it won't count.
