ROFL the title. I could not resist. (8
In which Odval's preference for younger men is somehow explored for the amusement of those who are role playing.

Odval was storming down the street, and her son was following her. After a Legionnaire had come to try and assassinate Seon Lee the woman hadn't been the same. Bat had often tried to correct her, to tell her that just because she'd been there at the time didn't mean they were targeting her, but she seemed to place some sort of deep-seated importance upon getting revenge for her near-dead patient. It was useless to remind her that none of the arrows had actually hit, or anything of the sort.

She was especially pissed off that Bat hadn't killed the b*****d when he'd had a chance. That was one battle he'd definitely managed to lose, and she said that she was ashamed, and that as a mother she was obligated to gain revenge. The woman marched right up to a door and knocked rather too loudly for prudence. "Come out here and let's have a conversation!" she cried, hoping it was the right place. She'd tried to bribe the information of the Legionnaire assassins' base from a fighter.

What neither she nor her son realized was that Huang-fu was just inside(if Nyx says so, of course) and that Odval had probably just dug Bataar more of a hole than they knew. No doubt this would end in some quarrel or other, but for now Odval wanted answers.

She fully intended on asking why Seon Lee had been targeted, and if the move had been made by the Legionnaires as a whole or if someone else had sent him. These were things the woman needed to know. He was, after all, her patient.

Huang had been mulling over reports from his network of fellow assassin's and spies. After becoming a fighter, he was balancing a good amount of missions from his Family and then Missions from the Empire by sending his own personal recruits or fellow Legionnaires.

One report though, as he read it slowly, made him smile. Not any assassin he had a personal connection with had found their way into killing the lover of one of the more famed Noble Shaman's. Odval, a fierce and dangerous woman who had been targeted many times before had almost lost her current man of the week. Seon Lee, no relation to the Legion's own Lee family, had been the target. Though the report said nothing about Seon getting hurt, it did talk about another man who had been insentience on protecting the man.

Huang read the report over again before a servant came rushing to his room.

"Master Huang, There is a woman and a large man outside banging on the door." She scurried over to Huang, eye's wide. "It looks like the famed Odval and a younger man!" She squeaked as Huang pushed back from his desk and got up.

"I will handle this. Get the guards ready in case of attack." Huang said in a deathly calm voice before walking out of the office, "Please tell the servants to move the family into the safe home and to move my brother there as well. When I give the sign, you may move them away." Huang ordered as he thought how the famed Odval, A known Noble would know where he lived and why she would find him so soon after the attempt. Thoughts raced through his mind as he got closer to the door she was banging on.

He grabbed his needles, katana attached to his backside as he headed out a side door. He wouldn't clearly open the door she opened anyways. Slipping into the shadows, he located her easy enough and as he got closer, knew instantly who the other man was. Bataar.

Goddess. Huang sucked in breath before exhaling. How the hell was he suppose to deal with Odval AND Bataar? Actually why the hell were two strong Nobles knocking on his door, no actually why the hell was Bataar with Odval? He thought some Seon Lee was Odval's lover.

"There is no need to keep banging Lady Odval Jaoret." Huang kept the needles in his hands as he stepped into her view, glaring at Bataar before her. "I did not expect that you would come to find me so soon." Huang cocked his head at her.

Odval shifted impatiently, her one green eye all but boring a hole in the door of the house. It was taking them an awfully long time to answer the door, but a fighter emerged at last. She could feel her son tensing just beside her, no doubt about to draw his sword. She made a gesture for him to stop. This was her conversation and possible fight as far as she was concerned. Her son could not be allowed to try and take over.

She faced Huang, her expression haughty. "As you may know, I have taken up residence at the Noble temple, where I tend to patients. Your network of assassins tried to kill my patient." she hissed in an accusatory tone, clearly expecting some sort of an explanation.

Bataar stirred next to her, clearly wanting to murder Huang-fu. If his mother didn't want that, however, he was kind of disallowed. "Mother-- I can take care of this one." he said, nearly whining. He needed to prove himself to Odval again after losing to the other Legionnaire assassin, and he would be more than happy to kick Huang's a**. The shaman made a gesture to silence him, but otherwise ignored him.

Indeed, Bat might have felt slightly stupid if he wasn't absolutely sure that his mother would take down Huang herself if need be. If anything, he was in for a definite earful. Odval seemed to think of Seon Lee like another son, he thought pleasantly enough. She definitely wasn't as mean to him, though.

Huang ignored Bataar, even as the other man tensed up and paid attention to the woman. She was in all truths a very intimidating woman, much worst then his own mother and yet the exact same. He continued to hold the needle's as he took a step closer and cocked his head at her. She was of course talking about the attempt on Seon but Huang wouldn't let her know everything just by her talking to him. He had Legion pride after all.

"Noble temple?" Huang didn't hear about that in the report and gave kudo's to the assassin, he was very bold for entering a noble's precious temple of healing. Huang had a little more class for that, he didn't want to anger the goddess over something as trivial as killing in a temple, obviously the other man didn't feel the same.

"I hate to be rude Lady Jaoret, seeing as you came all this way to...." Huang wasn't sure what she was after yet but he shrugged his shoulder's, "Talk, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I have no network of assassin's targeting patients." He turned to Bataar, returning the glare now, "However, to come boldly into a Legion's territory is like asking for a easy death, Is that what you come seeking?" He directed this more at Bataar, but the threat hung heavy in the air regardless.

Odval raised her eyebrows upon noting the presence of Huang's needles, but didn't mention them. If he wanted to try and attack her, so be it. She might be able to make him die easily enough, after all. She nodded briskly as the Legionnaire questioned the location, her green eye locked upon him as she tried to decipher his thoughts to the best of her abilities. It was almost no use-- he would speak in time. Of that, she would make sure.

"I didn't come to talk." the woman spat, her eyes flat and cold. "I came to interrogate, so do not speak to my son. If I tell him he ought to kill one of you, he shall do it, and I will make sure he is successful in that endeavor." she stated with a sort of confidence that must have been a little on the shocking side. For anyone who didn't know Odval Jaoret, meeting her at first always tended to be quite an experience. She was sure of herself-- way too sure of herself. Perhaps it was because she had nothing to lose.

Bataar bristled, and drew his sword much to his mother's disdain. "Only paying back the favor. A Legionnaire came into the temple just earlier, after all." he growled, doing his best to look intimidating. With his mother at his side, he was never quite sure if he was on the brink of getting publicly ridiculed for his actions, but he supposed it didn't really matter. He hated Huang-fu.

"Interrogate or Talk, Either way doesn't matter." He shrugged again, she wasn't intent on attacking him as far as he could tell, but she was angry and women always were unpredictable with anger. He could tell that she was quite aware of her situation and her confidence still didn't waver. Huang was impressed and yet....He always thought pride was the fall of any good men or women.

If he was shocked by the fact that Bataar was Odval's son, he didn't show it, keeping his face stoic as he collected the information. Now he understood the brute power of Bataar and how he had grown. it was too bad that he still seemed to be a mama's boy.

"The comment was directed at both of you, however, I doubt Bataar will be so close to killing me." Huang smirked at the other man before waving his hand, "We have battle many times and yet, I am still alive aren't I?" Huang shrugged again before his eye's actually widened.

Bataar had been the man that his fellow assassin had battled and won, ahhhh this was too good. Well since Odval already knew the information, Huang would take this moment to revel in the fact that the man he hated lost....and in front of his mother.

"Since you have so blatantly come here for information, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you what little I know would it?" Huang tapped the needles to his lips in thought before smirking again, "I do recall a report from a field agent on the attack of Odval's lover of the time, Seon Lee. A man 20 of years old. A little young for most women your age's choice." Huang looked at her before back at Bataar, "I hear that while Seon was unharmed, and yet another man lost the battle with the Assassin taking many injuries." He gave Bataar a knowing look before cocking it back at Odval, "As to why he was attacked well...." He held the needles out and pointed at Odval, "Was because of you."

Odval rolled her eyes at the Legionnaire, but still didn't make any move to attack. She would wait on this one, and be prudent. She still wanted answers to her questions, after all. She snorted as he commented about her son and shrugged, looking unconcerned, as if she had the ability to cause him to win by default. One never knew with Odval, who tended to take unpredictability to a whole new level. In any case, she could always try to kill Huang herself. That sounded... entertaining.

Bataar looked even more pissed off upon hearing Huang's next statement. "I spared you the last time." he hissed, ignoring his mother's sharp glare. He would certainly get berated about that later. Sparing Legionnaires was not something that Odval cared to hear about, even if her son was defending his ego as best he could. Bataar waved his sword, but deigned not to swing before his mother gave him the go-ahead. He would dearly like to kick Huang's a** in front of her.

But now, well, now it was personal. Huang had just said that his mother and Seon Lee were lovers, which was well, impossible. Seon was, after all, a good six years younger than Bataar. The man gripped his sword, fixing to swing it directly at Huang's face when he felt it stop, no doubt through some power of his mother's. It was as if a barrier of sorts had been created, but he noted that she looked positively livid.

Before he could say anything, or object, she had marched a few steps forward in order to smack Huang-fu in the face-- hard. "Such things are no business of yours, Legionnaire." she declared, her green eye glowing with rage. No one insulted her choice to be a cougar and got away with it, after all! She would have to loose her son on him in a moment, but first she wanted him to take back his insult.

Huang shrugged at Bataar's comment before returning his own, "Just as I spared you from poison Mongolian." Huang reminded Bat of the fight before that one and smirked, though he hated the man...no he just hated him. He would kill him when he was ready too.

Huang could see that Bat wasn't taking the news of Seon Lee being his mom's lover and had to hold back a snort. "You really are a misguided idiot Bataar." He watched as Odval came up to him, the smirk still was there as he took her slap in stride. It was powerful, and just enough to bring blood to the corner of his mouth. His hand that held the needles though came up to have the tips pointed at her throat before cocking his head at him.

"Be as that may Lady Odval, I do know about it. I wasn't hired for the attempt myself so it wasn't me after your dear little lover boy."
He pressed the needle's dangerously closer to her throat before cocking his head, his face the usual stoicness and calm that he had. He wouldn't fear her right now as his eye's met hers with the same pride and rage she met his with.

"I don't take to well to being slapped for something that I was indirectly involved with." He let a small smile mar his features, nodding to the needles at her throat. "Your making it easy for me Lady Odval to attempt to kill you." He said attempt because it hadn't gone past him that she had stopped Bat's sword and she was known for her freaky powers. "If you didn't expect a attack on your Lovers, then you shouldn't have any and you too are a misguided idiot. This is war after all, and the winner is the one who is more cunning then the other. And it seems that Seon Lee is a whelp of man with no training and even less knowledge of war." Huang shrugged. "Not only did he have to be defended, but his defender lost."

Bataar bared his teeth, looking terribly displeased with the insults that were flying. He was hardly even thinking to his mother now, wanting instead to end the life of the Legionnaire standing in front of him. That was entirely normal when it came to Huang-fu, though. Entirely normal. It seemed that they would perpetually be flying at each others' throats, no matter what. There was probably nothing that could remedy this hate, aside from death.

And he was not a misguided idiot!

Odval looked deeply, deeply annoyed as Huang spoke. "You. You are wasting my time." she hissed, scarier than any yelling. "Seon was injured killing one of you nasty little bugs." she growled, her voice still deceptively low. Before Bat knew what was happening, however, Odval had turned on her heel and was marching away with a simple command. "Kill him this time, please." She would not lower herself to exchanging insults with a Legionnaire fighter. She'd let her son take care of that.

From there, there was really no question. Bataar brought the flat of his sword towards the side of Huang's head, knowing that he'd be entirely satisfied if it hit. He'd do his best to follow his mother's request, and to defend their name. "Now you're going to die!"
