Dhavlen kept a distance from the two lions. He saw they were tied together like the old master said. To himself he smiled slyly. This would just be too much fun for him to handle. He watched as the two lions talked to each other. As much as he wished he wanted to listen in on them, he decided it would be much better to keep a distance from them. The old master said he could play with them as much as he wanted, as long as he made sure they were still alive by the time he was done with them. He told him to treat the blue one harsher, saying he could stand more pain than the other one. Dhavlen didn't disagree, though he thought they both looked rather weak.

He got closer and closer, until he decided he wanted to be heard. He stepped on a branch and quickly ran through some near by bushes. Than he became quiet again, crouching near the ground, crawling away from the bush. Once he was at a safe distance he stood up and walked quietly, hidden amongst the brown leaves of the forest. Now he would wait and watch the events unfold. He just hoped that these lions would preform up to his expectations.

Drox was ready to show off to A'lan. He jumped straight into the bush, ready to capture his prey, except when he landed there was nothing in the bush. "There is nothing there," he said. Obviously A'lan had tricked him. He knew he shouldn't trust a jedi. All he wanted was to make a fool of him. Drox tried to get out of the bush, but he found parts of the rope knotted up. Things were just getting better and better, he thought bitterly.

"Hey get me out of the mess that you started." Drox ordered. The rope was pulling hard against his fur, making it hard to breathe. "If you ever try to make a joke of me again I swear I'll-" He was going to say kill you, but even he felt like that was too much. Even for his sworn enemy, he wouldn't want to kill him. He wasn't ready to be a killer yet.

"Just hurry and get me out of this," he said a little softer.

A'lan's fur suddenly stood on end and a chill slid down his spine. Something wasn't right about this. He eyed the surrounding area with suspicion, lingering on one point before Drox jumped. The rope pulled uncomfortably on his end and he had to stumble to keep it from choking him. He tried to find the spot again after regaining his footing, but it was lost.

Yet the feeling of 'wrong' clung to him.

He turned to untangle Drox.

"Hold still." He said quietly as he began to gently free the other lion.

Dhavlen smirked from his hiding spot. The large blue was was preforming perfectly. The old master was right, he was brash. This was becoming way too fun. He wanted more than anything to attack now, but he knew that it would be more rewarding if he were to be patient and wait. These two lions would give him some entertainment for sometime without him interfering.

He wondered how the blue one was going to react with the light colored ones help. The blue one, he was told, has a temper that he couldn't control and that he refused help from others he deemed weaker than himself. He smiled wickedly, as he thought about the possibilities.

Than the blue lion asked for help. That was odd. The old master told him that the blue one would never ask for help. Was his information wrong? He would have to be careful. If the two of them worked together they might actually be a match for him. He took a step closer, to get a better view when he accidentally stepped on a branch.

Drox tried to hold still as A'lan untied him. He didn't like being this close to someone, especially not a jedi. It felt uncomfortable, unnatural. “We need to hurry and find some food. The sooner we catch something the sooner I can return to my Master,” Drox said quickly, moving away from A'lan once he was free from the bush, making the rope tight again. “I don't think I can stay tied to you much longer. Your weak jedi instincts are starting to rub off on me.”

Than he heard it. The sound of the branch breaking. He twirled around to face the sound. “You heard it right? That sound? I think we are being watched.” He stared deeply into the bush. This time he wasn't going to make a fool of himself. This time he was going to be careful and catch his prey.

Despite the feeling of 'wrong' that refused to leave him, A'lan smiled as he rescued Drox from the bush. He wasn't expecting a thank you, but the insults bit a little deeper then he thought they would. The other lion had actually been a bit friendly a little while ago. The image of Drox hesitantly asking him what it felt like to care about someone was burned into his memory. It caused his heart to ache and that now all-to-familiar tugging to start again.
There was that word again. Weak. He thought that he had gotten over these new limitations that had been placed on him. But whenever Drox said it, it felt like someone kicking a still healing wound. An unconscious look of hurt flashed across his face.

But his mind stilled at the sudden snap of a branch.

The rope was suddenly tugging at him again and he moved quickly to put more slack into it. That bad feeling was creeping its way back up his spine as he heard Drox talking.
He took a defensive position and awaited what lay ahead.

'Seems like this part of the game is done.' Dhavlen thought as he came out of his hiding spot. His face was just as smug as ever as he looked at the lions. “Hello there my friends. It seems like you are a little lost. Is there someone after you, you seem a bit jumpy?” He asked as he walked toward his left, making sure he kept his distance. His attention went toward just the blue lion. “You heard me step on the branch. Bravo. However you think I was watching you. How pathetic. Why would I have any interest in you when your companion is so much more interesting...”

He turned toward the light brown lion. “You are good aren't you. This dull lion you are tied to is supposed to be a beast. I was warned to keep myself safe around him. I was told he doesn't hesitate to strike, yet here I am talking to you, with the blue one patiently waiting on you, to see what you will do.” He smirked at the lions. Would the blue one be as predictable as Dhavlen hoped?

Drox stepped forward, in front of A'lan, in an almost protective stance. He didn't want A'lan to take his fight away from him. If anyone was going to get in a fight it was going to be him. A'lan could just stand on the side and cheer for him. When the cheetah stepped out he watched him carefully. This wasn't good. He took a hesitant step back, still trying to stand in front of A'lan. “What do you want?” He barked, baring his teeth.

When the cheetahs attention went to A'lan he felt himself grow confused. Why did he care about A'lan? Shouldn't he be more concerned about him? He was the one who was going to beat him after all... As he listened to the cheetah he felt himself grow even more angrier. “What are you saying? The only reason I'm not killing you right now is because I think it would be too easy for me to kill you. Plus A'lan doesn't understand violence. He would probably end up freaking out.”

A'lan was a bit startled when cheetah began to speak to him. He'd been very wary of the older cat and even more unnerved when he began his semicircle. But he had been talking to Drox, and A'lan was used to blending in.
He nervously shifted his weight a bit.
But the jabs aimed at Drox helped him steady his nerves. It was uncalled for and untrue!
He moved up beside Drox and locked eyes with Dhavlen.

"Everyone has good inside of them. Even you I bet. You only become a beast when you enjoy preying on people who you think are weaker then you. The way you keep looking at us makes me think you do a practice of this."

Dhavlen came closer, still keeping a safe distance. The thought of good in everyone made him laugh. He knew well enough that there are some who are born evil and others who are turned evil. He was turned, by a father who was disgusted by him, who couldn't even stand the sight of him and a mother who abandoned him. "I have fun toying with others now and than. I can't help it, the evilness inside me makes me do it." He said with a cruel laugh.

"Maybe if you and your little friend here could find the good in me I can be turned good again and we can all go on a merry little adventure together!" He said with a grin. "Or, and do forgive me for being so harsh, the more likely answer. I can beat both of you up until you both are begging me to end your silly little lives."

Than he thought of something more interesting "I could possibly strike you a deal though. If you two were to fight, and I mean really fight I would untie you and you both could be free to continue your little adventure. What do you say to that?"

If they weren't tied up he could destroy the cheetah, Drox thought as he glared at the cheetah. He looked at A'lan and back have the Dhavlen. They were talking about good and evil, something that had always confused Drox. He knew his master was evil, there was no doubt in his mind about that, however he had followed in his foot steps. Everything that his master told him to do he did, wanting to prove his worth. How evil was he than? Was he destained to be evil? Did the gods sentence him a life where all he could be was a monster like his master? He looked at Dhavlen and felt something he had yet to feel before. Pity.

He glanced again at A'lan. This lion he just met, who was undoubtedly weaker than him, was able to see good in both him and Dhavlen. Though Drox still considered it a weak ability, he thought that maybe it would be useful at some point.

He thought about his choices he would make to stand against Dhavlen. Normally he would leap into action, tied up or not, but there was something holding him back. He was thinking about A'lan and what would happen if he were to get hurt. It would be his fault and he didn't want to have to take care of a hurt jedi. "A'lan what do you think we should do?" Drox spoke in a quiet deep tone.

A good feeling rushed through him when Drox asked his opinion. Maybe he didn't hate him as much as he thought he did. Still staring the cheetah down, he replied to Drox in the same tone. "You know the area better then he does, we should find a place where we could have the advantage or could set an ambush." It seemed that they weren't going to get out of this without a fight. Just because he didn't like it didn't mean he couldn't hold his own.

Dhavlen watched them, a bit bored. He did however wonder what they were going to do. He wanted them to fight each other, but that was obvisiously not going to happen. There was something the blue lion had for the other lion. The old master told him that the blue one had no feelings other than hatred. It was odd to him and he wondered if these feelings were new thanks to the other lion. It must be, Dhavlen thought as he watched the two of them.

Drox nodded to his companion. "On the count of three run to the east. There is a cliff over some water. If we jump it we should be fine and out of his reach." He said. The cliff was too high from the river and the river was nice and deep. He had jumped from the cliff many times and never got seriously injured. There was no way the cheetah would follow after them after such a risky move. "One. Two Three." he said under his breath. Than he bolted toward the east.

He trusted Drox in the fullest, so at the stroke of three, A'lan bolted along with him. The trees rushed passed them. He didn't dare turn around to see if Dhavlen was in pursuit of them in fear that he would trip or miss the cliff. He kept close to Drox to keep anything from snagging the rope.

Up head he began to see the trees thinning out and called over the sound of the wind rushing passed them "Is that it Drox?!"
