Hilarious Werewolf

The day had started off pretty well and very much in the usual way. Her minipets had begun war with one another at a decent early hour and after being jumped on or having her tail bit a few too many times, LW had given up on anymore sleep to take a quick ten minute shower. Much more awake, she'd taken her faithful hazmutt out with her for a morning run. Which turned into the two canines playing chase as well as a game or two of tag. During their frolicking, LW had started to feel...well she didn't know. 'Down' was the easiest way to classify it. She felt down. And maybe a little lonely.

Ah, there. That's what it was. She was lonely and had not seen much of her closest friends lately. She missed hanging with them. It also explained her restlessness. As a werewolf, she did need to get out and be active quite a bit. But she also craved the company of a 'pack'. Of her friends.

She really needed to find something else to do besides running around campus in her feral form, Austin trailing along beside her.

Currently, the she-wolf was slowly walking along the main path of the school grounds. Did she want to go back to the Monster dorms? Or go visit the demon dorms? There were a few demons she wouldn't mind seeing. Just as there were a few monsters she'd love to chat with. DO something with. LW sighed, tail swishing from side to side. Something to do. There had to be something or someone to do things with around here!

...Besides Austin that is. Her hazmutt was always willing to go do stuff with his lady master.

"But you have to admit too," LW glanced down at him. "You're totally bored of running around the campus." A muffled 'chuff' sound was his response followed by his ears perking and tail wagging. He heard something. A new person! Strange new person with strange creature...thing...person! LW glanced in the direction he was looking and came to a stop. What was this?! She'd never seen this ghoul before! And what was that creature that was tagging along with her? Only one way to find out, right?

"Hiya there!" The she-wolf called over. "How goes it today? And what is that creature with you?" They really should amend the statement 'curiosity killed the cat' to include little she-wolves as well.

Fell immediately perked at the voice of the werewolf ghoul. Her eyes bright and alert as she scanned the area, quickly picking out the source along with her hazmutt.

"Ah! Hey there!" She returned the greeting before turning a wary eye on her companion the moment the ghoul mentioned 'the creature.'

Uh oh

King was normally quite passive, but he didn't stand much for being lumped in with just any creature. No, he was too proud for that.

"Oh umm he is..." She started only to be cut off by Kingsbane himself.

:Thisss creature isss, Kingsssbane, ghoul.: He hissed, two voices overlapping one another, though one sounded more distant than the other. It caused an eerie like echo effect that Fell herself was not quite used to. It still sent shivers up her spine. :And what are you?: He questioned turning a critical glare on the two as he snaked through the air and moved up around and behind them; his nose-less skull inches from LW's face. :Two flea ridden mongrelsss I asssume?:

"Now, now. Try to be civil King. You do look like a minipet." She reminded him. She was rewarded with a low gurgling growl.

:Bah! Minipetsss, nothing but mindless vermin!: He spat and moved away from the two.

"Sorry about that. He's my partner. Pact partner to be more precise. I'm Fell by the way." She smiled, extending her gloved hand towards the other ghoul. "You are?"

It...he...Kingsbane spoke! Oh holy Jack! LW stared back at the...whatever he really was, unphased - alright she stepped back slightly when he got in her face - when he got close. The she-wolf had definitely in no way expected it to speak. The shocked expression was probably proof enough of that. And apparently she'd offended him.

"K-Kingsbane...?" LW asked, making sure she'd heard it right. "What...is that what you are? Or who you are?" She didn't want to offend him again, after all. At her side, the hazmutt's ears flicked back once before he sat and stared at Kingsbane. He was just as clueless as his lady master. Though he didn't utter any sounds against it. Just watched with a careful eye.

"What am I?" Her tail flicked back and forth. Flea ridden mongrels? There was one she hadn't heard since coming to Amityville! "Close enough, I guess." LW responded with a sheepish shrug. "I'm a werewolf." She smiled at the cranky Kingsbane and glanced at the ghoul, giving her a bigger grin. "It's alright. I'm sorry if I offended him." Pact partner? What was that? "A pact partner, you say? Can't say I've heard of one before." The she-wolf let her hand fall to Austin's head and scratch at his ears.

"Pleasure to meet you Fell! And Kingsbane." She nodded towards the...whatever he was. "I'm LW!"

Tilting her head, she let her curiosity get the better of her for a second time. "What brings the two of you out here today? And...are you new to the school?"

Kingsbane seemed to enjoy the ghoul's sudden discomfort. Her shock was a welcome sight to the soul eater and he actually grinned, showing teeth as black as the rest of his body as his jaws parted.

:A consssumer of sssoulsss. We are namelesss and don't have namesss, jussst titlesss. Though your kind call usss sssoul eatersss.: He answered, the glow--or rather his eyes in the empty sockets shifted and he gave a gurgling laugh. :Though you could sssay that my current food sssource isss the brat here.: He motioned his tail towards Fell who didn't seem at all bothered by his statement.

"What he means is, he's feeding off my excess Fear." She pointed out. "See, I can't control it and I produce too much. You could say that he's the lid that's keeping it from leaking out and taking any extra and storing it for later, while feeding on any that he needs." She pointed at the green glow in King's ribcage that practically swirled and pulsed with life. "Hence our pact together." She turned so that LW could see the pact mark trailing down her spine. A black spine marking. "He needs me and I need him. That's all that matters."

:I think you needed me far more than I needed you.: He pointed out, though Fell only shrugged.

"You lived a... very risky life before I came along, need I remind you?" He only snorted.

"But a werewolf! Can't say I've ever met one of your kind before." She smiled and leaned on Kingsbane before he could move out of the way. "Nice to meet ya!"

"And yes... we... actually arrived here during the Florescetival. Though we headed back to the dorms long before all the chaos struck." She said, obviously referring to the the Fearados that had run rampant. "We were actually just having a look around. King here thinks I should learn the school grounds right away."

"Soul eaters...?" Consumer of souls? The she-wolf stared at Kingsbane for a moment or two, mulling over what he had said. And, of course, asked the question that kept rolling around in her mind. "Does that mean that you are, in some distant sense, related to the minipets?" Weren't there minipets similar if not the same as him? She didn't have any, but the she-wolf swore she'd seen them before.

LW looked back at Fell as she elaborated on what Kingsbane meant. "Oh! So that is what you mean by pact partner? Is that sort of similar to Reapers and their familiars?" Her head tilted slightly in that curious canine fashion. The mark that represented the 'pact' was pretty cool, she had to admit. "That didn't hurt or anything when you got it, did it?"

She smiled. "Yep! I'm a werewolf. Probably not the best representation of my kind, but still a wolf all the same." Her mind informed her that if certain friends of hers heard this they would smack her. "Means I can change forms when I want. And I have to admit, I love running in my wolf form." The she-wolf's tail flicked in a cheerful sort of wagging motion.

"Oh, during Floresetival! How did you like it? I know things got a little..." She searched for a kind word to use, but failed. "Got pretty chaotic. But that's usual around here." LW grinned at the pair, though it wasn't quite so pleasant. "Wait until you get to experience one of our field trips." This was followed by a rolling of the eyes. "Really? I'd be happy to show the two of you around! I've run around these grounds enough times to know them fairly well. Like this path, for instance." She gestured along the path they stood. "It's the main path and leads out of campus should you have a desire to head into the town."

Kingsbane regarded the ghoul with distaste.

:I have asss much of a relationssship with thossse creaturesss as a dragon doesss with a lizard! Nothing but miniature copiesss!: He gave a low growl, obviously insulted by her words. Then again, he was easily insulted.

"I guess so." Fell said, ignoring King's small outburst. "I'm a reaper, but he and I are more like equals." She nodded, only to stop; confused at LW's next question, though she clued in a second later. "Oh! That? Nahhh! It's not like a tattoo or anything." She assured.

"Nor I, but I'm sure you do well for yourself. You seem pretty confident anyways." She grinned and poked at King's skull lightly before removing her weight from him. "Ah, that sounds pretty cool. Must be quite the experience! If you don't mind me asking... were you born as a werewolf? Or were you turned?" She froze after realizing how rude of a question that was. "Err! Don't answer that if you don't want to!" It was too bad there was no lid for her curiosity. Sometimes she just didn't learn when to shut up.

Luckily her embarrassment faded at the mention of the festival.

"It was nice! I haven't been to any celebrations before, so it was a nice change. I especially liked the lanterns. I even managed to get myself two of those fireland floresce. One of which turned into a serpent like one." She wasn't going to mention that she stole said floresce.

"Ah! I actually met someone at festival who said something about a field trip. He seemed... very upset when talking about it... I think his name was Nate... No... that's not it... Umm... Nee--N... Night? He was a cat! Black one with green eyes! I know that at least!" She was terrible with names. "And I'd like that very much. More fun with other people and King isn't very talkative."

:Nor will I ever be.: He added.

Whoops. Maybe she shouldn't have asked the minipet question. But she'd been curious! He looked very much like them, despite his objections. Copies, though. That made a little more sense, for some reason. So he was the real deal. At least he'd cleared that up for her though, right?

LW nodded in understanding at Fell. It made sense to her. "You two are different from the other reapers than, right? Because aren't their companions familiars and not pact beasts?" She paused, and then added, "Sorry Kingsbane. I don't know what else to refer to you as." Offending him yet again would probably not be the wisest thing right now. "Ah, so it just looks like one and I'm guessing just sort of appeared when you two made your pact?"

The she-wolf smiled. "I do try and I guess you can say I'm confident. It's more like I'm just happy with who I am and don't really care if I'm not the best werewolf around. And it is an amazing thing, being a wolf." LW was surprised by Fell's question. No one had actually ever asked her that before. "It's alright, I don't mind answering. No one as actually ever asked me before. I was born a werewolf. Come to think of it...I don't think I've ever met a wolf that was turned rather than born this way." LW tilted her head curiously trying to think of any possible wolf that may claim that, but came up blank.

"I have to admit I very much liked the lanterns myself. Though I wasn't quite so lucky in getting one of the serpent type floresce. I DO have several more fish to add to my slowly growing collection." LW giggled. "Oh and another scareon."

Her tail flicked behind her at mention of being 'upset' over a field trip. A small shiver may have run along her spine as well. What she wouldn't give to forget their last one... "Night? Oh you met Night! He's a sweet cat. A friend of mine as well. And he had very good reasons to be upset over it. It's something none of us will ever forget." She didn't elaborate on it and jumped right into a different topic. "Awesome! Well, as I said, this is the main path. If you head west, you will hit the school. East and you can either go to town or loop back around to the forest. Back that way is the dorms." LW glanced at the pair. "Is there anywhere in particular you want to go check out right now? I'd be happy to give you a tour...or just accompany you."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 30, 2011 11:45 am

"I guess so. Though from what I've seen, familiars can be just as bossy and cranky as King here." She added with a sly grin. Luckily this time he had ignored LW's words all together and busied himself with staring down her hazmutt.

"It did. It's what binds us together. It's sort of like a promise, but visible and permanent and has more of a consequence if said promise is not met." Though she didn't elaborate what that meant.

She nodded as she explained about herself and the werewolves in general. She would have been lying to say she wasn't interested in them. They were fascinating beings in her opinion. To be able to naturally change form at will whenever they liked... so wonderful! In a way it made her jealous.

"Oh nice! I would have tried for more, but ah... three of my minipets are cats... They would have been pleased if I brought more back, but yeah... I don't want them to get a hold of them. Luckily Freya is good at her job and keeps them at bay." She nodded and grinned at the recollection of the nergal lepus chasing the three felines off.

"Hmm... Something tells me there is more to these field trips than what people are willing to tell me..." She mumbled to herself. Even King gave LW a suspicious look though didn't speak and neither did she. Instead she let the topic change.

"No where in particular. Don't know what you guys have here so, uh... no where to really go to hang just yet." She said, scratching her cheek with her finger. "And of course! You're welcome to join us!"

LW nodded, having heard similar things herself. She hadn't actually met many of the reapers with familiars before. Most of what she knew was general word of mouth stuff passed around. At her side, Austin just stared right back at Kingsbane. Or appeared to be staring. It was hard to tell with the gasmask on. His ears would flick around as he listened to the conversation, otherwise he just sat there in an aloof state.

"Oh okay. I think I understand it better now." LW didn't pry for more information though. As curious as she could be, even she had the sense not to push when it was clear the other didn't feel like elaborating. Ren being the exception. Then again, she and her best friend never kept things from one another...Okay Ren was a bad example.

The she-wolf laughed at Fell. "Oh I understand that! I don't have felines, mostly canines. However my mimics are terrors and would find great amusement in playing with fish. It's hard enough to keep them from taking a swim in the fish bowl."

LW was privately relieved that Fell didn't push the topic of field trips. Really, she should warn her of how dangerous they were. But she couldn't bring herself to do it. Mostly out of fear of the memories it would bring with it. "A place to hang? Well there is always the town. And the Maul." LW said, tapping her chin in thought. "I mean, there are places around campus, but most of the time all the exciting things happen in the dorms." LW paused. "And the classrooms occasionally." She offered the pair a grin. "Any of those sound appealing?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 31, 2011 10:21 pm

"Mimics?" She asked with a curious expression on her face. She had heard of them, but had yet to actually see any. In fact, all she really knew was that most people would rather not see them. Something to do with a pet they mimicked? "Wait... they swim?" She asked. Trying to picture it in her mind, but drew a blank due to the fact that she had absolutely no idea of what the creatures looked like.

"Anywhere is good!" She answered. "Except maybe places that require you to be quiet. Like the library..." She made a 'yech' face and shrugged. "Not one for reading." She pointed out. "Unless of course, the book is really good! Then it is an exception." She gave a nod.

"Since you're showing us around, where would you like to go?" She asked, since really, she didn't have any places of interest of her own just yet.

LW blinked owlishly back at the pair. "Have you never seen one?" She asked curiously, thinking of her own hoard back in her room. BB at the center of course. "They look like scareon balls. Except with a giant eye and teeth along with a little fluffy tail." An amused snort escaped her. "And, well, that's open to interpretation, on if they can swim." LW usually had to fish a couple of them out every now and then. It was a wonder how none of them had drowned yet. "You should stop by my room sometime. I have...a collection of them." Plus Beast, her treasure chest mimic.

"No library then." The she-wolf giggled. "Can't say I visit the library much. I'm not one for silence. Or the really hushed tones used. I like being out here or in the dorms where you can be loud if you want. And listen to music." She tilted her head, trying to think if there was anything she actually really enjoyed reading. So far nothing was coming up.

Tapping her chin, LW glanced around, eyes taking in the familiar campus buildings. "Well, I could show you two where each of the dorms are, in case you make friends with someone that's not in your own dorm. The main school building is not hard to miss. It's that big one there." She pointed towards the school, looming ominously behind them. "After that, if you are really bored, I was thinking of maybe going into town. Possibly to the Maul." LW shrugged. "Nothing much else to do today around here at least."
PostPosted: Fri Sep 02, 2011 8:40 pm

"Nope. I've heard of them. Nothing ever complimenting them though." It was true. She only ever heard nasty choice words about them. She had never heard of someone actually keeping them as close pets. "Sure! Once I have my dorm all set up and in order, you can drop by any time you like as well."

"Me either," she agreed. "I hate having to keep quiet, plus it's just so... boring. I can't see how people can read for hours on end." she shrugged at the thought. "It's painful enough having to sit in a classroom for more than an hour," Which unfortunately, was going to happen a lot more from here on out. "but intentionally reading for hours on end? ugh..." No reading was definitely not her thing.

"That would be helpful actually! Specifically if you could show me which one is the monster dorm. I have a friend here that I want to find later. You might know her. Her name is Mei? Mei-xiu." She didn't keep her hopes up. It was one student after all, out of how many was it? A lot, that was for sure.

A grin sprang up at that. "No surprise there. They are creepy little things. But I somehow acquired a whole hoard of them. And BB is, for all his faults, a good minipet. Just a terror." Really, she probably was one of the only ones that loved the mimics. Or at least loved Billy Bob. That or she was just too nice to kick them all out. Then again, Ren would probably find more to drop off at her doorstep. Speaking of doorstep, "Awesome! And maybe I shall stop by sometime. Don't think I've been to the Reaper dorms before, actually." The she-wolf tilted her head, thinking. "Monster dorms, obviously. That's where my room is. Ghost dorms and demon dorms. Never been to the Reaper or Undead." Although the Undead dorms made her nose wrinkle.

"I have yet to figure out how people can read for hours like that either. I mean, reading for a little bit is alright. But not that long." She snorted. "There are better things to do then sit and read! Like go out and make noise somewhere!" Or run around the campus in feral form. Explore the edge of the woods. Hang with equally obnoxious people.

Tail swishing, she nodded and gestured towards a path just off to their right. "We'll start this way then. And don't worry, I totally will. That is my dorm, after all!" She smiled and it only got bigger when she heard a familiar name. "The doll? I know Mei! She is awesome. I will definitely make sure you know which dorm to find her in. Though you'll have to hunt around for her room on your own, I'm afraid." LW gave Fell an apologetic smile. "I don't know where her room is at."

Following the path they were on, LW pointed towards the structure in front of them, though she was a tad reluctant to get too close. Sensitive noses could be a b***h sometimes. "This would be the Undead dorms here. Can't really say much else about it as I don't come here." Turning slightly she started down another path that branched off from the one they were on. Now this dorm she had no problems approaching and spent a decent amount of time there. "This is the Demon dorms. It's actually quite nice inside. Might be the nicest of all the dorms." She paused. "Alright pretty much any dorm is nicer than the Monster dorms." But what could she say? The monsters came in many different shapes and sizes.
PostPosted: Tue Sep 27, 2011 1:25 pm

"It'll be an experience for us both then!" She nodded and grinned. Her grin only growing wider when the werewolf ghoul mentioned the undead dorms. "Yeah.. It's bad enough for us with our normal sense of smell. I can't imagine what it would be like for those with a more powerful sense of smell, like yourself." The mere thought made her own nose wrinkle.

"Seriously! I mean... if they really can't do anything else, then maybe I can get into a book... but if I have the option to go outside or something, I'm taking it!"

The grim reaper allowed her grin to soften at the mention of Mei. Apparently LW was a friend of the broken doll's.

"I'm glad to hear she's getting along with people. She's always been a bit... difficult when it came to meeting new people." Luckily, she had never really had a problem with her, but maybe that was because Fell was one of her first friends?

Following the other ghoul, Fell listened quietly as she pointed out each of the dorms, while Kingsbane trailed behind them both.

"I dunno', I don't know if I could stand living in the undead or the ghost dorms. Undead's being a fairly obvious reason... but... I heard the ghosts live beneath the earth, sort of like in one giant grave..." She shuddered at the thought. "I'd feel like I was trapped if I had to stay there."

LW laughed. "Oh you have no idea. They smell terrible! I mean, you can definitely smell them without a sensitive nose. But those like me? Oh man! There are scents that you'll pick up you wish you'd never smelled before." She did not like that area. It was marked down in her book as one of those 'Avoid whenever possible' places. "I once caught a whiff of something that I couldn't figure out what it was...but I had dreams based off it. None of them pleasant. Had to go buy myself some candles to burn. And incense."

She was glad to continue on the subject of books instead of foul smelling things. "I can at least admit that yes, I have given books a try. But I'm too active to coop myself up and read. There is too much to do then sit and stare at words all day!" Like running through the campus grounds in feral form, for example. Or wandering down the halls to see what you happened to be witness to.

The she-wolf smiled kindly. "Yes. Well, from the few times I've seen her around a group she's been getting along with people. I like her though! She's always been nice to me." Although she thought Tybalt might have grumbled about her once or twice. Then again, Tybalt also grumbled about Ren. "The three of us should hang out some time!" LW said, glancing over at Fell. She was honest with what she shared about each dorm, only able to really tell her what she knew herself or had heard from others. A grin sprang forth at mention of the ghost dorms. "Ah, yes. The ghost dorms. It definitely feels like a giant grave. And, it's actually not that bad being in them. I've never felt like I was trapped." Maybe she was just strange for a living creature.

"Well, I think that sums up all of the dorms except the monster dorms." LW pointed to her home dorm. "That would be the monster dorms. We probably have the...uhh most unique set of dorm rooms?" Was that the nice way of putting it? "And we're all pretty chill, so if you happen to visit and are looking for Mei, just ask around. We're willing to help and point you in the right direction. Oh and don't mind the...rather large monsters either." Monsters came in all different shapes and sizes.

"So, is there any place you would like to check out more thoroughly? Or maybe we could head down to the town and the Maul...?" She really didn't have a preference and was just enjoying getting to know Fell, and yes, Kingsbane too.
