 Caleb smoothed out his hair for the umpteenth time as he approached the meeting spot. He felt slightly nervous. He gathered up a deep breath, sucked it down and swallowed hard. He would not mess this up.
He walked proudly over to the grass where he and Konani had once laid in together, his eyes shimmering with happiness. He had never felt such a magnetic pull toward someone like this before. He pulled his silken scarf around him tighter, hoping his makeup looked alright. He certainly didn't want to look overdone or trashy.
He sat down, his tail swaying behind him from nerves as he looked about, waiting.

 Konani was excited for his date with Caleb. He took a morning swim to clear off any unwanted bugs, grass, and dirt from his fur. He used the pond's reflection to fix his messy hair, if only a little. He spit shined his crown to make sure there wasn't any dirt on it. He wanted to look at least nicer than before. He roamed around the near by clearings and forests for some unique wild flowers. "wonder what would be nice for, Caleb?" Konani asked himself as his tail swished back and forth lightly as he trotted along a dirt path on his way towards the spot to meet. His glowing eyes caught sight of a beautiful pink and white orchid that was surrounded by some baby blue daisies. "These could work!" He said with glee as he scooped them up with care into his paws. Arriving at the spot, Konani spotted Caleb. His heart began to beat a little fast, but he took a breath to calm himself down. "It's only a date, but I can't help but think that it means more..." He said to himself then shook his head. He gave off a wide smile to the other male fox as he held out the flowers. "For you!!!" He said in a sing-song voice.

Caleb blinked, his eyes sparkling in delight as he saw the flowers. He sniffed at them, a smile coming to his face as the fragrance wafted to his mind. "Thank you. These are lovely."
He looked over Konani's appearance, his long eyelashes hiding where exactly he was looking as he scanned the other. He certainly knew how to clean up well. Caleb playfully nudged his shoulder into Konani's before giving a soft smile. "Shall we?"
Caleb stayed close to his side, their shoulders gently brushing as they walked. He looked at the couples dotting the streets, those who were just walking home, or to whatever random destination they had in mind for themselves. He looked at a small candy store, knowing he shouldn't go in before dinner. "We should stop there before the movie."

Konani smiled as the other male took the flowers. His tail began to wag in a quick pace as a smile apppeared on Caleb's face. "Just thought you'd like something nice before we go on our date." He said with a light blush as he looked over towards the setting sun. "I'm glad you like the flowers cause chocolate can be messy sometimes." He said with a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head.
Nodding in agreement to the question, he followed close to Caleb on their way to the movies. Noticing the couples that were walking around the streets at this time of day. His tail wagged even more as he saw the candy store. "Of course! I's my treat though." He said as he gave Caleb a nuzzle on the cheek, catching some of the blush on his nose. "Snacks and drinks are too pricy at the movies. It's just cheaper to get them before."

Caleb leaned into the nuzzle, giggling softly, moving to nuzzle his own nose against Konani's. He sniffed at the flowers once more, a smile still painted on his lips.
His eyes fluttering wide as he listened to the other. "Movie theatre snack prices are absurd. Let's just go to dinner first though, so we won't want to get too much at the movie." He looked into the candy store, his eyes glittering like a child's, lighting up like the inside of a Christmas tree. He has always had a sweet tooth to rival that of any child. "We're definitely coming back here though..."
He led the way down the street to a small restaurant with a lovely patio with a small creek flowing through it. "I hope you don't mind me picking. I just love this restaurant. The patio is like a scene right out of a Disney movie."
He waited till a waiter came to greet them, asking for a table of two outside. The waiter walked them out to the patio, motioning to a table near the cast iron gate with Chinese lanterns hanging above as if they were magically floating there. "Good spot for you?"] he asked smiling, his tail swishing with excitement.

Konani chuckled at the nuzzle back against his nose. He admired how sweet Caleb was to him. He was quite happy around him as his tail began to start wagging while they walked. Nodding as he smiled, "Of course! Dinner then a movie and some sweets after." He said as he just kept on smiling.
"It's quite romantic, Caleb. I love it!" Konani said as he began to giggle like mad when he'd get excited. His tail wagged feverishly from the happiness and excitement of their date. "Which movie is it from? I've seen quite a few, but it's hard to remember all the details in it. I can speak along with the characters cause I'm good at remembering lines!" He said as he thought about his favorite Disney movie, UP. "This spot works great! Gotta love the lanterns." He said as he looked all around at the decorations on the patio.

Caleb couldn't help but giggle at the other's excitement. He really enjoyed feeling so wanted by Konani. The darker male made him...feel completely at home; wanted.
His attention came back to the question at hand, "Lady and the Tramp maybe? It may be a mix of just the romantic scenes in Disney movies." He sat down, taking the menu and curling his tail around one of his legs. His eyes scanned over the restaurant's wares, but his eyes kept taking glances at Konani. He loved how his eyes shined like a star.
"You know, it's weird..." He didn't know if he should continue this sentence, but part of him felt like it would go mad without saying it. "I've known you for two days, and yet, I can't remember a time ever being as happy as I am right now." He offered a warm smile, his tail curling around his leg even tighter as he felt the nerves come attack his stomach, making him feel slightly nausea, but it didn't keep him from smiling, he knew it would pass...after Konani said something...

"Lady and the Tramp? I liked the dinner scene in that one. I thought it was really cute how the cook and the other guy sang for them." Konani said as he picke dup his menu while his tail flickered at the side of his leg. Everything looked delicious, but he couldn't think of something to pick. His stomach growled as he kept on reading. He chuckled nervously then set his paw on top of Caleb's own. "You know... I've felt the same way. You just make everything so enjoyable and I don't like being away from you. It makes my heart ache..." He said as a dark blush dusted the white markings on his face.

Caleb watched the blush sweep across Konani's white markings, his smile spreading ever so gently like a soft feather, running across his face.
"I feel the same way, when I'm not with you." He kept his paw in Konani's, but fidgeted his body a bit. "Do you...do you believe in love at first sight?" He felt nervous about the question. Caleb had never believed it himself, but here was Konani, someone he could really see himself being with for as long as possible.
He smirked, a hint of embarrassment in his eyes as he waited for the answer. He looked to the menu, pretending like he wasn't as nervous as he was as he waited for the answer.

Konani nodded at the question Caleb asked. "I've always believed that it was real, but never experienced it before. That's how I feel between the two of us..." He said nervously as he scoot his chair closer towards the other male. His tail curled around Caleb's as he moved in for a light peck on the cheek. He blushed even brighter as he felt his heart beat quickly.

Caleb leaned into the kiss, a small giggle escaping from his lips. "I feel...that way about you too."
He looked to the menu, clearing his throat. "We should look at what food we want, or the waiter may get angry at us," he teased. He looked over the menu, searching for something pasta-like before settling on a chicken Alfredo.
He set the menu down, taking a drink from the water that was already on the table, waiting for the waiter to come back and take their orders.

Konani noded as he looked at his menu with a bright red blush across his face and markings. Lasagna. His all time favorite Italian dish, except for Alfredo. His tail wagged as his mouth watered, he must off been hungry for a growl escapd his stomach. He gave a nervous laugh as he set his menu down. The waiter arrived with his Strawberry Italian Cream soda, placing it onto the table. " I'll have the four cheese lasagna with minastrone soup and bread sticks." He spoke a he gave his order, waiting on Caleb to make his choice of antree.

Caleb took another sip of his water as he listened to Konani's order. He was surprised the other could eat so much. Then again, he was fast finding that Konani was absolutely full of surprises.
"I'd like the chicken Alfredo fettuccine with a side salad." He figured that was enough calories for the night. He gave the waiter the menu, his eyes going back to Konani's wonderfully marked face.
"So, what'd you do today?" he asked, trying not to be so mushy as he was previously before.

Konani smiled in awe at Caleb ordering his meal. He blinked when he noticed the waiter leaving them be to have their food made for them. "Well I missed you while I was gazing up at the clouds. I was thinking that after we get to know each other more, would you like to get a place together? I think it would be nice, right?" He said as the blush on his cheeks became darker. His tail brushed up against the other male's leg. He was truly happy to be around and hopefully with this beautiful fox. "What did you do today? I mean, we can always go to the park tomorrow or another time soon." He said as he rubbed the back of his head nervously with a chuckle.
