Tsiya lay stretched out on a rock, dozing in the sun. Rimi was off somewhere, as she did sometimes and he was all to himself for the time being. The Shadow Clan's Nvwati was a large male, huge in comparison to a normal-sized Ela, having inherited all of his size genes from his mother. He wasn't sure that he wanted to be lazing about like this, daydreaming about a pretty face. He still had trouble talking to the lady he had his eyes on, which was crazy. He was one of the younger brothers of the clan leader, he was the Nvwati, a large, strong male that any female would be proud to have at her side.

And yet he could barely talk to Chro. He sighed and rolled over onto his back, throwing one leg over his eyes. He was a mess.

Waikiki had recently joined this clan. Having followed his new bride, he had followed with every ounce of willing he had in his body. He was in love, and it was clear on the males face. He felt a new sense of strength, knowing she was his to protect. To keep safe. With a smile, he looked at the earth and started humming an old tune he had always sang near the water. He hadnt sung it since he left the water lands. He took it as a sign.. a Sign that he was going to be happy.

Tsiya Subiani:
Tsiya rolled over when he heard humming, blinking in the light to see where it was coming from. A male he hadn't met before, but he had the look of an Ela about him. Well... at least in so far as his tattoos looked vaguely Ela-like. Then again, they may have been markings.

He tilted his head to one side slightly, ears perked curiously.
"Hello," he said in a deep, yet pleasant voice.

Waikiki:
The male jolted out of his lovers mindset and blinked a bit as his eyes adjusted to the sight of real life. He smiled, bashful. "Hello, dude." He said with the bow of his head. He was a surfer boy at best, and honestly his terms were terms of affection, rather than rude. At least to him, he wasnt sure if others saw it that way. Of course, he never really thought about it.

"Im Waikiki. Im new to this clan." He said, standing a bit taller. He was proud to be married. Proud to be able to show Caely off.

Tsiya Subiani:
Tsiya's ears perked even more in interest. He had thought this male was a part of another clan, which would have explained why he hadn't seen him before, but to learn that he was a new member of the Shadow was even better. He liked to know his clan was growing, it had been so small for such a long time.
"I'm Tsiya Subiani," he replied, sitting up and nodding his head slightly. He had to wonder if this new guy would recognize the name.

"Did you marry into the Shadow, or did you join us from the roguelands at the last festival?" It was a curious question, not an interrogation. At least, he hoped it didn't sound like an interrogation.

Waikiki:
Waikiki did not recognize the name, but he bowed his head in respect regardless. The name sounded important, and so he knew it demanded respect. He liked meeting others, even if some didnt particularly like his enthusiastic and ideal values. He wasnt your average lion, but that didnt make him a bad one!

Wai loved talking about Caely. It was his favorite topic, and so he didnt see the conversation as interrogating. He saw it as a awy to talk more about her. With a smile, and a look to the ground before looking back at the male.

"I married into it. A lovely lady named Caelyndi."

Tsiya Subiani:
"That's nice. We need more clan members, I'm glad you've found someone special here," Tsiya replied with a wide grin, his own heart thumping slightly as his thoughts briefly turned to a lady the color of sunshine with marks he had taken to his own face in his tattoos. A moment passed and he blinked again, shaking his head.

"I'm afraid I've not met Caelyndi... I'm still getting used to my position and interacting with others," he replied, raising one paw to rub a bit behind his head.

Waikiki:
So he had a position? Wai felt sheepish and chuckled nervously but nodded.
"Yeah she's relatively new herself. I was of the sky clan. Ive been here most of my life." He said with a nod. He was proud of himself for being apart of the pride, even if he wasnt always in this clan. He knew he could fit in. It would only take time.

"You should meet her one day." He said with a smile.

Tsiya Subiani:
"I probably will, if she needs any tattoos. Unless she goes to my sister, instead," Tsiya explained with a nod. Tsiya or Eeva were the only ones in the Shadow clan who knew how. When he had been born, his sister was the only one, there had been no Nvwati. He'd been fascinated with the pride's tattoos ever since he'd been a cub, had begged his sister to teach him. And there he was, grown up to be the shaman, a feat he was very proud of.

Now if only he could gain the affections of his cub-hood crush, his life would feel complete.

Waikiki:
"So you tattoo then?" He asked, cocking his head curiously as he learned more about this male. He was interesting, though he had had a female do his tattoos. He hadnt known a male could do them too. He smiled at the thought and nodded.

"I bet you do amazing work." He said with a warm smile.

Tsiya Subiani:
Tsiya nodded.
"I do, but my sister is better at it then I am. I'm still new to working with the proper materials instead of practicing with temporary dyes." He paused there and gestured to a pair of sloppy blotches on his back.

"These were the first two I tried. From that day on, I left my tattoos to Eeva," he explained, chuckling. It was a lot more difficult to do his own tattoos than someone elses. Rimi's and Anni's were a testiment to his actual skill.

Waikiki:
"We cant all start out awesome. It just has to work its way out, cuz." He said with a chuckle. He looked over his own tattoos, the teal hibiscus flowers towering up his legs. He had always loved his markings. He felt they showed his personality well.

"Practice makes perfect, right?" He asked, encouraging the older male.

Tsiya Subiani:
"I'll agree to that one," he replied with a grin. It had taken a lifetime to learn how to tattoo, probably the rest of his life to truly master it. Tsiya glanced at the tattoos on Waikiki and nodded.

"That's a fine work, I should check into the Sky, see if I can get some more pointers." He was never too old to learn something new, after all, and the otter of the Shadow clan was always eager to better himself.

"How did you meet your lady-love? Ah, forgive the change of subject, I just love a good story, really. Comes with the territory."

Waikiki:
"You should, the Sky clan are quite interesting." He said, with a chuckle. He had loved his clan, and now he would love this one. However he would never speak ill of it.

"She wandered up to me one day. I wish it was more of a romantic story, but it was classic dude, meets dudette. But it was likely the best day of my life." He said with hearts in his eyes.

"What of you? Do you have a lady?"

Tsiya Subiani:
"Well, any story is a good story. At least to me, anyway," he replied, amused at how in love the other male was. And then he asked Tsiya if he had a lady and he felt his cheeks below his fur flush as a an image of Anni's sister came to his mind. He'd known her since they were near-cubs, his family so close to Malik's that it was almost too close. There was no blood relation, not a single connection between the family. Not yet, anyways. If he had his way, the families would be joined one day in marriage.

"Oh, um, no, no I don't. Not... Not yet anyways," Tsiya sputtered, trying to not sound too flustered.

Waikiki:
He realized he might have stepped over his boundaries, and he bowed his head in apology while clearing his throat. With a small nervous smile, he spoke.

"Im sorry, I didnt mean to dredge up bad feelings. Maybe I can bring Caely to meet you sometime. I have a feeling she'd love to make a friend."

Tsiya Subiani:
Tsiya sighed and shook his head.
"It's not bad feelings. I just... have a lady I fancy, I just..." He went to rubbing the back of his head again. It was a personal thing, but he was always one for sharing things. He was a horrible secret-keeper, unless they were someone else's secrets. Except from Chro. He had an even more difficult time just chatting with her, much less trying to woo her.

Another sigh.
"I can't seem to get up the courage to say anything to her."

Waikiki:
He sympathized with the older male. But he did not know that feeling himself. He had always been rather cocky when it came to Caely. That, and she was rather like an open book and he had always known she would love him. Or at least, he felt it.

"Never hurts to try, right?" He asked, trying to help.

Tsiya Subiani:
"No, I suppose you're right... Doesn't make it any easier, though," Tsiya replied, though inside he knew it could hurt. It could hurt a great deal if she didn't like him the way he fancied her. But then he supposed that in time all wounds healed. At least, that's what the stories all said.

"I'm sure I'll get the courage to say something, someday. I just hope it's before I'm old and gray." He ended the hope with another chuckle, trying to lift his mood again.

Waikiki:
"Cheer up dude." The tawny male said, looking at the other with sympathetic eyes. "Everything happens for a reason. I live by that. So.. if you're supposed to be with that lucky lady. It'll happen, dude."
He said with a nod.

"And hopefully it isnt when youre old and gray. You need lots of energy." He winked, hinting but not really saying anything.

Tsiya Subiani:
Tsiya flushed again, a modest male to his core. His cleared his throat and nodded slowly.
"Yes, yes quite. Energy would be... a... necessity..." he sputtered, looking rather embarrassed at the turn of the conversation and fished about for another topic.

"Well, I think I should let you return to your lady... And perhaps I'll.... set about winning my own." He was looking off as he spoke, this thoughts having wandered elsewhere.

Waikiki:
Waikiki nodded in respect, and stood up. He hadnt minded this conversation but he didnt think that his counterpart liked it as much. Wai figured he really needed to learn to watch his tongue. But then again he was happy how he was, so he wasnt likely to change anytime soon.

"Good luck, dude. I think you can do it. Just believe in yourself." He said, and turned to leave and head back towards the den.
