Thank the gods classes are over. It was the only thing that crossed Jua Msaka's mind as he left the classroom crammed with cubs of various ages and a stuffy old scholar reciting the same old rhetoric about the pride's history he had already heard from his parents a dozen times before. As a budding juvenile, it was only natural to feel being stuck in a room full of Dawnwalker children a generation younger than him cramped his style. He was already being expected to make important decisions, like what sort of lion he would become and what position in the pride he would likely become apprentice to when he had finally become an adolescent. It was no time to be caged behind the stone walls of the temple, watching babies roll around and cause havoc when they were the ones who should have been attentive to their elder!
It was a shame he was too polite to make note of this to his teacher, his parents had raised him too well, apparently. Then again.. I doubt anyone would have noticed if I left anyway.
With a laugh Jua padded towards the courtyard to watch the sun fall beyond the dunes of the distant horizon. If he were the trouble making sort, he would have considered trying to duck out on his classes and see if anyone paid it any mind, but his mother and father likely wouldn't have been too pleased if they found out. He didn't much care for the idea of another lecture.

Zehoret walked along slowly, looking at the temples and ruins of her new home, smiling slightly at the majesty of it. It was a good place, and she enjoyed the sun in her fur as it set, the weak lioness laying to soak in the heat of the day.
She closed her eyes, taking a breath, and opened them, blinking at the young student whom emerged and smiled.
"Hello."

Jogging across the stone floor of the temple, towards where the best view of the fading sun could be seen, Jua proceeded to repeat an act that had become so consistent it was nearly a ritual now. Since as far back as he could remember he had been making the trip to the courtyard to watch the sun dip below the dunes. Pulling a blanket of darkness across the sky. The older he got, the less intrepid this trip seemed and sometimes he considered following the sun all the way out across the sands to find out just where it went. As a juvenile though, he wasn't permitted to leave the safety of the temple, but someday.
A soft voice drew his attention from the golden horizon to a lioness laying out upon the ground. She seemed to be soaking up some strength from the last, most brilliant rays of the descending globe, but looked frail. Perhaps she needed help? Bounding the rest of the way to her side Jua Msaka canted his head gently, Hey there! Are you okay? Do you need some help?

"No... I'm enjoying the sun at present to be honest." She smiled shyly, then beamed. Frail or not, good manners were good.
"Care to join me?" She motioned with a paw gently, a kind look on her face. He was young-- but seemed kind as well.

Oh.. Surprise ghosted across Jua's expression gingerly. It was good that she wasn't in need of help, but he'd been so prepared to expect it that---finding the unfamiliar lioness was okay came as something of a shock, evidently. Attempting to regroup and approach this awkward situation in a new fashion the youth bobbed his head shortly. Good thing.
Glancing at the distant sun that cast a golden glow over the lounging female he grinned wryly. She seemed familiar if only vaguely. Perhaps she'd come in with that group from a short while back? Anything was possible. The Tuait was always expanding and there seemed to be new members arriving every day. Jua didn't ask though. Instead his weight shifted in consideration of the open offer. Hanging out with an adult lioness. It was quite the opportunity and maybe he'd be able to brag to his brothers later on. That was all the motivation he needed to agree. Scooting to sit right up against her side. Sure! Name's Jua Msaka, not that you'll probably remember it.. what's yours?

Zehoret smiled at him and got up slowly, moving over to sit feebly.
"Well Jua, my name's Zehoret. And I'm sure I'll remember." She smiled kindly. "Were you in lessons?"

Watching the golden female attempt to sit up, inquisitive young eyes examined the frail way this unfamiliar lioness moved. Quietly offering his shoulder and the rest of his body to lean on for support to aid her in her attempt to shift positions. Jua Msaka wasn't sure what was wrong with her, but it was obvious by the rickety way she moved that the stranger was not in the best health.
Zehoret. The boy cataloged the name with ease. He had a particularly vivacious memory and a thirst to know many things which aided in soaking up information like a sponge. Not to mention that he enjoyed the way it sounded when spoken out loud. It took everything in his power not to repeat the name just to test it out for himself. Nodding lazily in answer to his elder's question. Yea.. teacher just let us out. I always come here to watch the sun set...

Zehoret smiled, nodding slowly.
"I see! Am I interrupting then?" She didnt want to impose!
