DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS!
At Hogwarts: The subject has an extraordinarily high turnover of staff members — throughout the series no Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher has remained at Hogwarts for more than one school year. It is suggested by Hagrid in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets that "They're startin' ter think the job's jinxed. No one's lasted long for a while now." In Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore suggests that Voldemort cursed the position because his application for it was rejected.The existence of the jinx was eventually confirmed by Rowling. The position had also been coveted by Snape, but he was denied the position as well. Snape was finally appointed D.A.D.A. professor in Half-Blood Prince. Rowling announced in an interview that once Voldemort had died, the jinx he placed on the office was lifted and a permanent professor had been teaching the subject between the end of Deathly Hallows and the epilogue, set nineteen years afterward's. Furthermore, she imagines that Harry Potter occasionally comes to the class to give lectures on the subject.

ABOUT DADA
D.A.D.A. broadly focuses on preparing the student so that they may be able to—if such need arises—magically defend themselves against things pertaining to the Dark Arts. This may include: Learning how to block unfriendly spells; and learning how to defeat dark, magical beasts (like the Boggart). However, as D.A.D.A. teachers came and went at Hogwarts annually it produced inconsistent learning from year to year, as the quality, style of teaching and exact choice of subject matter (depending on what was deemed appropriate) varied widely from teacher to teacher.
It is taught to Hogwarts students from the first year to the fifth as a core class, with the option of N.E.W.T. classes in the sixth and seventh years for students who qualify.

 Daemon SaDiablo
Auror and Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts
"SaDiablo sanguis forver purus donec montes deiectos." Daemon pushed open the door to the Defence against the Dark Arts classroom.. HIS classroom, and walked slowly to the desk. His stomach did a nervous twitch as he walked to the board. Trying not to think of it as vandalism, the 18 year old wrote his name on the board. He twirled his wand once and lowered it. The case of the missing teacher had him curious.
He dismissed the thought for now and turned his attention to what he'd teach. He turned to the door to wait for students.
"SaDiablo blood will forever be pure, until the mountains are cast down"

Zoe walked in to the class room of DADA to find it completely empty except for the young man who stood by the black board. Morning professor SaDiablo! She greeted as she took a seat and sat down.

Drago walked into class and saw that the professor and Zoe were there. He felt guilty for being rude to her earlier in the common room and went up to her. "Sorry for this morning Zoe. I didn't mean to be rude. It's just that that was a touchy subject and I didn't notice that I'd said that out loud. Sorry." He said in the most polite voice.

Fionna was having an a;alright first day back. She still wasn't back into her routine of waking up so early, but it wasn't a drastic change from Summer. She was a like both mornings and nights and lost lots of sleep because of that. Today she was rubbing her eyes a lot more often to keep awake. In fact, she had almost fallen asleep in History of Magic which was truly odd for her. Then again, it was all stuff she already knew.
Fionna entered the DADA classroom to find only two peers and the Professor inside. She smiled as she saw Daemon er Professor SaDiablo. She wondered what type of professor he was going to be like. Fionna stepped inside and went to a desk further in the back, but not before saying, "Morning Professor SaDiablo." In a bright and cheery voice. She put her bag on her desk before plopping down into the seat.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor
Lucas walked into Defense Against the Dark arts to find that Fionna had this class as well.
"Good morning, Professor." He said quickly and he hurried to sit down in the seat next to her. This had been the class he was really looking forward to, it was going to be his favorite subject, that was for sure. He'd done really well on the test for this subject too, he expected that the questions about werewolves were what had really brought the grade up. Smiling a bit, he put his books in front of him and grinned at Fionna before turning to face the front. He didn't know if he should say hi or talk to her, she was a good student, would probably want to pay attention right now, and he had no idea how strict this Professor was going to be.

Fionna had pulled out her ink and quill just to be ready knowing that something was probably coming. Whether it was an assignment or a 'get to know you' page she didn't know, but it was better to be prepared. She had just started doodling on a piece of parchment when she heard the door open and close and she looked up to see Lucas walking in. She smiled back at him as he sat next to her and said, "Hey Lucas." She didn't say it too loud, but it wasn't quite a whisper. Truth be told, she was glad to see Lucas and she was not quite sure why. Was she developing a liking towards him? She had just gotten out of a relationship. Was she ready to try and start a new one? Fionna didn't want to think about that right now so she just went to doodling the first thing that came to mind which just so happen to be a flower in the morning dew.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor
Lucas looked at what Fionna was doodling on her parchment and noticed the lovely flower. "It's beautiful." He said. "You're a great artist." He was never good at drawing. He loved instruments like the piano or the violin, and with a pang he then remembered the violin he heard from Jess/ica's house. Fionna reminded him of her a bit, just the kindness and how accepting she was. He wondered if they'd be studying werewolves in this class, then he would get every question right. He pictured Fionna being impressed at his knowledge in D.A.D.A for a moment, her beaming face and snapped himself out of it. His mother's and father's words rang loudly in his ears, he heard it so long ago; You'll never have a future. Who would pick a beast such as yourself over someone...human. His hands curled up when he thought this, but covered it up by putting them casually in his pockets.

Alex looked around the room for an empy seat, and saw one right next to Zoe. He pulled out the chair, and placed his books on the desk. He turned and smiled. "Hey Zoe, how have you been doing?" he asked while getting his sugar quills he had bought from Hogsmeade. "Want a quill?"

Ghaleon Elmerast, Ravenclaw, 5th Year
Ghaleon made his way to the Defense class, he'd forgotten how big the castle could get. Though thankful after so many years he was no longer getting lost while navigating his way to a room. Finally entering he greeted the new Professor. "Good Morning Professor" before finding an empty seat.

Alex walked into class and smiled, she had missed this classroom and this class, she was kind of sad that Kenneth was not teaching anymore but she knew Daemon would be fun to. She spotted Lucas and Fionna and went to sit by them "hey" she said smiling

"SaDiablo sanguis forver purus donec montes deiectos." Daemon smiled as his students begun to enter. He glanced at the clock. "Good morning," he smiled warmly, grinning at those he'd known personally as a student. "All you'll be doing today is Introductions. Boring I know but we need to do so. There will be a time you'll be glad you know the name of each other."
He waved his wand and the words
'Name
Year'
Appeared. On the board. "When you say your name and year, take a rough guess at why I don't ask your house. "SaDiablo blood will forever be pure, until the mountains are cast down"

Fionna blushed slightly as Lucas complimented her doodle. It was just a rough sketch, but she still was protective over her work. She didn't like when people saw the unfinished work because it never captured the full beauty and sometimes she never let people see her work at all. She said, "Thanks." quickly not able to think of anything else to say. Just then Alex came by and sat near them and she smiled saying, "Hey Alex." She also saw Ghaleon walk into the room as well as another boy whom she couldn't recall a name.
Before Fionna had a chance to say anything else, Daemon Professor SaDiablo spoke and told them what they would be doing today. To be honest she had no idea why they wouldn't say their house, but she decided to go first. Standing up Fionna cleared her throat and said, "My name is Fionna O'Sullivan and I am a fifth year." She smiled and paused for a second before saying, "My guess at why we do not say our house is so that nobody judges each other for the sake of say old feuds or discriminations." She then sat down in her seat waiting to see who would go next.

"Nice one." He whispered to Fionna. Her answer was probably right, it sounded good enough, but Lucas figured me might as well try, so he said; "Lucas Carter, I'm a 6th year, and my guess is because titles don't matter here, we're here to learn Defense, different qualities we might have shouldn't matter?"
It was a wild guess and he had no idea of the right answer. He smiled at Alex, encouraging someone to go next. He was a bit dissapointed they weren't learning anything new, but wasn't about to complain. Hogwarts was more than he could've asked for, so now he just had something to look forward to next class.
