HERBOLOGY!
At hogwarts: Herbology is the study of magical plants and how to take care of, utilise and combat them. There are at least three greenhouses described in the books, holding a variety of magical plants of varying degrees of lethality. Herbology is also the only subject Neville Longbottom excels in; it is explained in the epilogue to Deathly Hallows that he later becomes the Herbology teacher, replacing Professor Sprout.
The teacher in here, however, shall be none other than Donavon Epithia

 HERBOLOGYHello, my name is Donavon Epithia, you may all call me Professor Epithia while in this class. Here, you'll learn all about the different plants in the magical world. I can assure you that nothing will harm you so long as I am here and you are careful. Please do not take this class lightly, some plants are poisonous and I would hate to cancel class because someone messed with a teething Venomous Tentacula.

10 SIMPLE RULES~Follow Gaia ToS ~Follow the rules of the guild ~Reply at least once to every couple lessons I teach, there's a new lesson every few days depending on my schedule. ~I post frequently, you should try to. If not, I will ask Lillian to remove you from my class, you get two warnings. ~Though it's in the guild rules, not so many people really follow it. NO god-modding. This means you can't get something perfect on the first try. (DO NOT have your character be better in this class than everyone else by far or something.) ~Don't always get hurt or something, that's just begging for attention, if your character goes through a hard time, fine, but even Donavon's life improved after that summer home event where he lost it all. ~If you're post is extremely short or riddled with spelling errors so I can't read it, I'm ignoring or deleting it. You should know better. ~ Try your best to do your homework. ~Treat others, and my equipment with respect, this is not a playground. ~Have fun!

LESSONSI update lessons here, if you are struggling you can come to me for extra credit, but I won't give it unless I've seen you make at least some effort in class. I add more lessons as we need them. I also make notes below the lessons sometimes about how we as a class did. I post a new lesson big and visible so you WILL see it when it's posted, and I will write down here when we've covered it, and the status of the lesson. Note to students: You can work on a lesson until it's status is 'Finished.' At that point, we've moved on, so if you've missed a lesson...tough. Just start on the one we're on. Lesson 1: Dirigible plums. CURRENT HOMEWORKYes, there is homework. I have homework after each lesson and give until the next lesson to get it done. I don't know exactly what day the next lesson will start, it really depends on how busy I am, but I'm usually free enough to give a rough estimate, so you should have it done by then. ((If you're too busy irl then shoot me a pm and it's okay. If you do it, you automatically get points. If you copy from the internet, you'll lose points cuz I can easily google it as well.)) Donavon headed straight for the greenhouses and didn't stumble anymore. He was used to walking this thin and this tired. Though he had passed out before...granted, he had broken ribs then. He breathed in the fresh air when he reached the greenhouses and he walked into the classroom by it and took the head of the table. First, he'd start off easy with Dirigible Plums...maybe a few paragraphs for homework on their unique properties? No...maybe not on his first day....then again, it wasn't their first day...Then he remembered, Ayamae would want to know he was teaching again. He was sure Lillian would tell her, but he kinda wanted to let her know himself, too. He waved his wand, thought of her and whispered: Expecto Patronum.
A large, shaggy dog burst out of the end. He was very loyal and caring, so he'd always supposed that's why it was a dog. He whispered to it and it darted off, just a whisk of smoke about to re-form by Ayamae in seconds. He smiled and waited for the students to show up, which they should quite soon. He'd just heard a bell ring.

Al was the first to go to Herbology, she darted into the classroom the moment it opened. She'd been checking all the time ever since she heard that Donavon was in the building, and she was thrilled to know he was alright.
"Professor Epithia!" She said with a grin. "It's great to see you're well sir."
This wasn't really true. Though he was wearing loose-fitting robes, you could still practically see his ribs. He was so thin, so emaciated. She didn't say anything to this, she was just happy to see him here. He had scars and deep cuts all over his face. His hair was clean and neat though, he looked like a starved and wounded animal that was just cleaned up by the owner. His skin was practically transparent, it was so thin. A re-animated corpse.

Drago ran to the greenhouse that was being used for the herbology class that day. He couldn't wait to comfirm that Professor Epithia fit the decriptions of the homeless man. A few days ago he had set a letter to his mum telling her that they had found the missing Professor and she had written back saying. That she was glad and to tell him not to give Drago and Dragonia any special treatment since she helped him and that she hoped he liked the pizza pockets, but first Drago had to make sure it was him.
When he finally got there he saw right away that the Professor must have been the man. He went up to the Professor and smiled. "Hello Professor. Welcome back. My mum wanted me to tell you that she didn't want you giving us any special treatment for her helping you, which I knew you wouldn't anyway. Also she said that she hoped you liked the pizza pockets. Glad to see that you're ok." He had said the pizza pocket thing in a whisper. He turned to see that Al was already here. He gave her a big smile as he went beside her.

Donavon flushed a bit and looked down awkwardly as Drago sat down by Al. Since no one else was in the classroom except Drago and his girlfriend who he'd probably told who was also the headmistress's daughter he said.
"Thanks. They saved my life, I swear. Those 40 pounds too...I'll pay her back as soon as I can." He looked up and his face was back to it's usual dead-corpse look. His amber eyes weren't quite amber yet, but a bit dull with sadness. He was still recovering, if he was honest.
"Though it wasn't the start of term yet...so I can't give points for that...but since you two were the first to class...40 points to Gryffindor. A point a pound. " He looked Drago and Al in the eyes and just smiled his usual weak smile, he wasn't sure what to say. He would've given them 200 points. Drago's mom had saved his life, he owed her more than he could really say. It was horribly humiliating that his students had more in the world than he did. But still, he had something worth living for, just as they did, for richer or poorer.

Al's eyebrows contracted when Drago said "I knew you wouldn't anyway..." It sounded really rude. She gave him a bit of a 'don't say that' look as he sat down but started when Professor Epithia spoke. His eyes looked dead as he said that they saved his life. She didn't doubt they did...she couldn't get over how thin he was, his arms were just two twigs. His upper arm was the same size as his wrist, and as horrible as it was, she couldn't help but stare as he talked. She didn't smile when he said 40 points to Gryffindor, she felt awful and a bit guilty for some reason. Guilty that a Professor, someone who was supposed to be so 'strong' had been turned so weak, and there was nothing in the world she could do. So she said nothing but a soft, "Thank you, Professor" and a little smile.

When he saw the look on Al's face and whispered. "What? I only ment that he's a good teacher that always follows the rules." Then, when Professor Epithia spoke about paying his mum back he remembered the other part of the letter. "My mum also said that if you offered to pay her back, to tell yuo that you don't need to. That does things because she wants to, not because of selfish reasons. She wanted to help you." And when the Professor gave them 40 points, 1 for each pound his mum gave him, he was literally dumb struck. "But that's special treeatment! I-isn't it?" turns to Al "Isn't it?" He knew he sounded stupid but his mouth was moving on it's own.

Donny just smiled. So she did things because she wanted to? She helped a broken man because she wanted to, and not to make herself feel good. There weren't many people left like that. Donavon just smiled as Drago sounded like a little kid as he stammered.
"Let's just wait until more students get here." He said, looking back down at the desk.

Fionna had been waiting for Herbology since the first day. She was glad the Professor was ready to teach again. Herbology was one of her more liked subjects. It was very interesting and entertaining to her. She approached the green houses and entered the one which contained the Professor, Al, and Drago. They conversation didn't seem very light at the moment and she wondered what they were talking about. She felt slightly awkward thinking she may have walked in on something, but continued in anyway. "Good Morning. Professor, Al, Drago. I can't wait to start." She said in a cheery voice. Fionna beamed at the three of them.
