It was such a beautiful day out, the sky was cloudy and just enough light from the sun was coming through to light up the landscape, and a breeze that just begged to wrap itself around everything. It was one of those days that the Hellhound just loved to be out in, rather than cooped up behind a room with four walls and a ceiling. With all the classes and clubs that he soon found himself in, Damien felt like days like this was a rarity that he's never get to enjoy for a long while.
He gave a sleepy yawn in return to the light sound of whining and barking at the foot of his bed where his scruffle Regal and stray Tsar began their morning chorus of goof morning barks. "Morning mutts, the day looks so nice, don't you think?" he asked mindlessly before flipping on his eyepod to check his duties for the day. "Hmm October 23, October 23rd." he muttered aimlessly as he scrolled through the calendar app toward the day and clicked.
And there was nothing listed in its column. Not one word or task. And Damien let out a whoop of excitement before kicking off the bed covers and ran to the shower in his dog bone boxers. Regal and Tsar simply just stared at him with tilted heads, wondering if their owner finally lost all of his personality's marbles.
It was a few minutes until the now soggy eared hellhound made a reappearance in fresh clothes and a mop of soggy hair before he gave a proper shake that Regal merely glared at him for doing. "Well now that I'm clean, you two wanna come outside with me today?" he asked them with a beaming smile, already aware of what their reaction would be.
As if on cue, their ears perked up and began to wag their tales before diving into the toy pile and picking up one to take with them. Damien just stared at them with a grin that only a loving pet owner could have as he opened the dorm door to let them out with himself in tow.
"Yes i agree, today is going to be a good day." he said back to them with his own tail joining them in the wag fest as they jogged out of the monster dorm, ready to have their canine bonding time.

She had done it again.
Xiu puffed out her cheeks, pouting at the decorated cupcakes that sat on her counter top. What bothered her wasn't that they had burned or were undercooked--in fact, they came out perfectly--but it was the fact that she had made far too many. Her original intention had been to make a batch of four as study snacks, but she had made twice that amount. Far too many cupcakes for one ghoul to devour alone.
Clearly there was only one solution to this problem.
The Baku rushed out of her kitchen, returning with a small cake box and a roll of ribbon. She would just have to find someone to share the little desserts with, then! Very carefully, she lowered four of the sweets into the box before securing it with a neat ribbon. There! ...Now she just had to find someone to give them to.
Hmm. "Arashi, I'm going out for a bit, mmkay?" Balancing the box on the palm of one hand, she smiled and stooped down to pat her Storm Melonkit with her free one. She would just go searching around for one of her friends and hope that they'd take the extra cupcakes off her hands. With one last pat, she promptly head out of her room and out of the dorm. As she walked down the path that led away from the demon dorms, Xiu scanned her surroundings with a frown. Now...where to begin? Perhaps she should drop by one of her friends' rooms? Or maybe some of them were out on the school grounds somewhere.

The view from the window just didn't compare to the immersion at the lawn whose dying dried patches were meticulously trimmed into its bumpy elegant formation. The dogs ran ff ahead of Damien as expected to find a nice open spot to play in, their their toys in tow, never straying too far away from their owner. The hellhound was glad that months of rigorous training have bared such fruits. It was much better than the first few days of chasing the dynamic duo around, telling them to heel.
The green eared boil found himself a nice soft expanse of grass near a tree to recline on and went sky watching, it was one of his more favorite relaxation activities. The hound was thoroughly enjoying the moment with Regal and Tsar coming over to lay with him. It left him with a happy grin as he went about petting their ears affectionately with both hands. "Ahh this is indeed so horrible." he muttered softly to them, in which they gave their own grunts of approval.
In the midst of all the beauty and relaxation, He completely forgot that they haven't had a bit of breakfast yet.

As Xiu made a circle around all the dorms, she was disappointed to find that no one seemed to be around. Not around the demon dorms, nor the undead, reaper, or ghost. She had just about lost all hope when she finally made it to the dorm farthest from her own--the monster dorms--and realized that there was someone here. In fact, the boil who was sitting in the grass was a very familiar one, and the baku immediately perked up upon seeing him.
"Demi!" Her tail gave a little wave as she approached him, careful not to jostle the box that she held in her haste. When she reached him, she crouched down so that the hellhound wouldn't have to look up at her. "How've you been? And who might these two lovely canines be?" Xiu's gaze had drifted towards Regal and Tsar, and she cocked her head to the side with a smile. Her fingers itched to reach out and pat the two minis, but it was only polite if she asked permission first. That, and her hands were currently both occupied.
Speaking of which! "Demi, you don't happen to like sweets, do you?" Her eyes widened hopefully, and she held out the box that she had been carrying. "I made too many cupcakes this morning. If you'd be willing to take them off my hands..."

Demi did say today was a beautiful day. he wanted to amend that statement.
IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER.
The abiance of his day was almost shattered when he heard his name being called out, dragging him out of his peaceful existence into Jack know what madness. his face went from a frown into the biggest smile before someone could say Zero. "Xiu!" he called back, letting his own tail wag its greeting as well before he jumped and fell onto his back and out of the shared warmth of his nearby resting pets.
Regal and Tsar merely just adjusted their heads to get a better view of their hellhound owner before flopping back down onto his chest and staring at the newcomer with their tails moving a mile a minute. They knew she was a new person to investigate and even more, she smelled like food!
The two canine mini's didn't wait to pad up to the ghoul and let out a bark of hellos and sitting by her feet like the affectionate and hungry hounds that they were. There was no need to ask Demi if they could say hi, they'd just be the boss and do it anyways. Luckily Demi wasn't jealous of them crowding around the Baku, she said hi to him first, and he'd remind them that when they got back to their dorm later today.
The hellhound tried his best not to flush as he greeted Xiu who...... Jack, she looked great today. "Oh, the scruffle is Regal, and the other one is Tsar." he said, knowing that they would respond to their own names with a happy woof at their new friend, shamelessly nudging their heads into the ghoul's free hands for pets, or treats. the mini's knew it was for both.
He was going to say something when it hit him that she was offering something she made, with her own human like hands. "Uh sure Xiu, I'd be honored." he replied back meekly, taking the box with both hands and trying his best not to tilt his head too far in the overcast sunlight so the baku couldn't see his flushed cheeks.
"Have you tried then yet, would you like to sit down?" he asked hurriedly after awhile, noticing that she was still on her feet. It took all but five seconds for him to rip off his vest and placed it on the ground to protect her clothes from getting any stains if she choose to sit with him. "

As soon as Demi had taken the box from her, Xiu immediately used her newly-freed hands to pet both of the minis, her lips spreading into a smile. "Regal and Tsar," The Baku echoed, tucking the names into her memory bank, "It's nice to meet you two!" Her tail was swishing cheerfully behind her, and she paused briefly to turn to Demi. "They're so friendly!" Canines really were different from felines, weren't they? Not to say that she didn't love her own mini--she adored Arashi--but he certainly wasn't as eager or sweet when it came to meeting new people.
At the offer to sit down, Xiu's eyes widened slightly. "May I? I don't want to bother you three if you're having some relaxation time." She took his gentlemanly actions as a confirmation that he didn't mind, so she sat down beside him...but she was sure to pick up his vest first, folding it carefully in her lap. "I'd feel bad if I got your vest dirty! T...thank you though! It was a very sweet thought." She seemed a little embarrassed--if the pink tint on her cheeks were any indication--but touched as well.
Of all the boils that she knew, only...one or two could really pass as gentlemen, so she was a little unused to the treatment. This was granted that the two that she saw the most of were...well, Shun and Roch, neither of whom were exactly "gentlemanly". That was okay, though. So long as they weren't outright rude, she didn't mind when her friends simply acted naturally around her. With this in thought, she hummed thoughtfully before grinning. "Demi, you can just treat me like...um, one of your boil friends!"
...Was that too strange of a request, she wondered? Shaking her head, she dismissed the thought an gestured towards the box.
"I hope you'll like them! I couldn't settle on one flavour to make, so all four are different." Perhaps she could use this chance to find out what kinds of baked goods Demi like and disliked.

Oh geeze....there was no way that his heart was racing in skin tight jeans. "Haha, Don't mention it really Xiu, I have plenty of those things in my closet so its no big deal if it gets dirty." he said light hearted and gave the ghoul a grin.
He lied, he only had that one vest and would have to hand wash the fur to make sure it was properly cleansed, but it would have been worth the labor.
It wasn't like he normally became tongue tied around ghouls. Heck, Levi could attest to that. but it was just...... Xiu. He started to rub the back of his neck in embarrassment as the dogs began to jump and hop around them. It was as if they KNEW. Damn dogs. "No no, I was raised to know how to be proper to a ghoul, especially if they come bearing gifts. Its part of my upbringing, I insist Xiu." he said without babbling like a fool like he fully expected to turn into.
The hellhound had to restrain himself before he started to scream in glee and tear into the box like a trick or treat gift. as he came across the most beautiful wrapped pastries. Damien could tell the she put some labor into this, it really was not half assed. "They look amazing Xiu! How long did it take you to bake them?" he asked in wonder as the mini's crowded around them and the box of delicious smells.
His stomach rumbled in agreement of the statement much to his own dismay as the flush on his nose got even brighter and had to tilt his head away in shame. "Guess this teaches me to leave the dorm without getting a bite to eat." he said sheepishly to her and pulled out a spare fork in the box. "Have you tried any of them yet Xiu?" he asked smoothly to avoid his own shame and split one of the cupcakes in four pieces and offered the slice to her first.
Just like his family told him to do. Demi would have to thank them one day for the lessons in etiquette.
And so help them if Regal or Tsar tried to take a bite out of the piece first.

"It would be difficult to clean though, wouldn't it? I know what that's like." Smiling wryly, she gave a pointed look towards the fluffy end of her tail. It was kind of similar, anyways. Sometimes she wasn't careful when she was baking and got dough in her tail fluff. It was never very enjoyable trying to clean stuff out of fur, she knew, and dirt and grass stains would take a lot of effort to get out.
Her attention fell onto the dogs as soon as they began hopping around them. Ahh, they really were super friendly! She reached out to scratch them behind the ears, but turned to grin at Demi. "That may be so, but...am I just a ghoul, or am I a friend?" There was a difference in how he would treat the two, right? Though honestly, so long as he was comfortable around her, Xiu was certain she would be fine with however he chose to act. Right now...though she couldn't pinpoint the reason, she could tell that he was a little...nervous?
Before she could ask him about it, the attention was turned towards the cupcakes. Her cheeks immediately reddened at the compliment, and she clasped her hands together in her lap. "U-um...not long! I...I think the decorating took a little bit longer. I hope you guys will enjoy them!" It always made her pleased to see that people enjoyed her baking. She made a mental note to make some more for Demi in the future.
Flushing, she raised her hands in front of her and shook her head quickly. "P-please! You guys try first! I'd like to get your opinions, so..." Xiu seemed a little anxious then, her gaze falling to the cupcakes. They had looked good, but she hadn't had the chance to try them. What if she messed up somewhere and they tasted bad?
Clutching her hands to her chest, Xiu tilted her head and watched Demi nervously.

Damien had to peek around to see what Xiu was talking about, the little poofy tail end she had. It was just so cute! "Ah! try that problem with a bit more fur, its not fun."
he gently pushed away the prying nose of Tsar that decided to want to find out why his leader had such a red face. And it wasn't easier when he rolled around the question in his mind.
a ghoul, or a friend.... ghoul...friend...
ghoulfriend.
It was like all the blood that was in his body went straight to two places, one being his cheeks, the other will remained unmentioned. "C-can-can't you be both?" he managed to squeak out after awhile and promptly shoved his face in the slice of pastry that he offered to Xiu.
Begin evasive heart pounding question maneuvers! He took a few thoughtful chews and just focused on the Baku's side profile, even under the overcast skies, she was still covered by a splendid light. It should have been a crime to be so innocently awe inspiring.
But every bite into the pastry was filled with a sweet and spicy goodness. "its delicious! and the decorations are top notch, even better than what they have at the maul shops!" he cried out happily to Xiu, remembering to not talk with his mouth full to a lady. "You must have a secret way or preparing these, do you not?" he asked after laying out a couple more slices for the canine mini's to enjoy, much more like ravish.
Were Regal and Tsar dogs or pigs, not even Damien knew at times.

"I can imagine," The Baku smiled wryly, before patting the vest that sat folded on her lap, "That's why I don't want your vest to get dirty! B-but really, thank you anyways! It was very kind of you!" That being said, she should probably return the vest, shouldn't she? The neatly folded article of clothing was lifted and held out to it's owner.
Xiu laughed as the cupcake slice was shoved right into Demi's mouth, but she became distracted as she pondered over his question. Well...she supposed that he had a point there, didn't he? "I guess so! I'm a ghoul and I'm your friend...so I guess that does make me your ghoul friend!"
There's a space between those two words, Demi, even if you can't hear it.
When she received a positive reaction to the cupcake, the Baku emitted a sigh of relief, allowing herself to relax. However, the compliments had sent another blush to her cheeks, and she fidgeted shyly. "I-I'm glad you like it! I love to bake, so..." She trailed off and gave a little shake of her head, "It's...it's not really a secret way or anything! I just use what I've learned from experience to tweak recipes and make them better." Of course, sometimes her attempts to "fix" things didn't turn out all that well...like that time she was trying to make a spicy chocolate dessert, and it turned out more spicy then chocolatey.
...Thank goodness that she hadn't given Demi and his minis that batch of cupcakes.
"So, what brings you out here? Just enjoying the weather?" She gave a curious tilt of her head and an expectant smile.

He was not going to pass out, there was NO WAY he was going to pass out.
He was just going to take a sudden nap in the grass, that's all. That was all he remembered until Damien felt his body go light and hit the grass in a soft thud and his world faded away into black.
Whatever else the sweet Baku said fell on the ears of the canine duo that gave her the happiest grin in the world with their tails in constant movement.
Whatever trick she used on their owner to knock him out, they wanted to learn it too.

...Uh oh.
What in Halloween just happened? One minute Demi was the fine, and the next...?! Sitting up straighter, the Baku hovered over the boil with wide eyes. "Demi? ...Demi! Are you okay?! H-hey!?" Panicking, Xiu glanced around frantically for anyone who could help when her gaze fell on the pair of minis.
They looked...awfully happy, didn't they? She let herself relax when she saw this, knowing that they wouldn't have been so cheerful and relaxed if something bad at actually happened to their master. Clearly she had just been overreacting. But...still. Was he just playing around and trying to scare her by pretending to pass out?
Pouting a little, she reached out and poked the boil's cheek. "Hello?"

The canines loved how she just had their owner under her spell. She was a keeper. They didn't waste much time crawling all over the fair Baku and plopping their heads in her lap, desperate for attention. Not even showing an ounce of concern for Damien.
Speaking of which, he had no idea what was going all, except for muddled sounds and a gentle poke on his cheek. He gave a quiet moan of content and flicked his hands like paws and nuzzled closer to the source of warmth next to his side. "I dun wanna git uppp" he murmured drowsily flicking his tail up and over himself like a tiny blanket and feel back into dreamland.
Was he dreaming? He really hoped he wasn't.

Blushing at the adorable actions of the minis, Xiu didn't waste any time in petting them, affectionately scratching them behind the ears. Considering that they really didn't seem worried about their master, the Baku took comfort in the fact that that probably meant Demi was...well, at the very least, alive.
He seemed...happy, though? Whatever the case, the Baku covered her mouth to stifle a soft laugh as she regarded the boil with raised brows. She wasn't sure why he had suddenly flopped over, but...ah! Suddenly looking sympathetic, she reached out and gave her friend a light pat on the head. "Did you not get enough sleep last night, perhaps?" Maybe all he needed was a nap.
If that were the case, then...hmmm. Perhaps she should just leave him to rest?

it was such a good dream, being out on the lawn with his pets and having Xiu show up with an early day dessert. Damien really didn't want the dream to end. EIther way the light pat on his head made his eyes flutter open and take in the pumpkin sunlight and found realize that there was grass underneath him. And Xiu was there.
"Am I dreaming still?" he muttered drowsily and began to curl up closer to Xiu like she was going to vanish or float away if he didn't. Until Regal's paw hit him between the legs and caused the young hound to sit up abruptly. "Augh what was that for Regal?" Damien whimpered out and Tsar brought him a slice of the cupcake that he was eating.
Crap, it wasn't a dream, it was real! And he just- with Xiu and-
Damien flushed to a bright crimson that clashed with his green markings and turned his head away from Xiu in embarrassment. "Ah, I'm so sorry Xiu! I don't how what came over me." He only wished the ground could swallow him whole and let him hide.
