This is a one on one about a boy who comes from a rich family background. He is on summer break from his junior year of high school. His father wants him to apply to a top music arts school in the state, but first he needs lessons. His father surprises him one day with tickets to a town four states away, and the luxury of a private tutor.

This is a one on one about a man who takes in a boy to make him into a master pianist. Lauren Blake, once was The Lauren Blake, pianist extraordinaire, due to mysteriously unknown reasons disappeared from the celebrity scene. He kept to himself for the past five years until he gets a letter from a seemingly desperate father. The story is a touching one and though Lauren wonders how the man got his home address, he accepts to teach the boy.

~But when music is playing, dance is but a note away and love but a few verses. ~

This is a very open ended RP, make your character your own, it will be fun to get to know each other. I shall play the part of Lauren Blake, piano instructor, and you shall be his student of course. The name is yours to come up with, but i do ask for his age to be 17. Please PM me with your character's picture and name. Happy posting!

The sun made a slow passage down the horizon and now the array of sensual colors told of the little time left of daylight. The wildflowers threw their scent to the wind that drifted across my face and through my hair. That letter was still a folded sheet in my hands, where I sat in the driveway waiting for the incoming pupil. It was still beyond me why i had accepted this challenge, but nonetheless, i had, and now my title was instructor.

I gazed from the tinted window of the car at the passing countryside. It hadn't occured to me until now how peaceful this place was but at the sametime my face told of much uncertainty and worry. I didn't care for the idea when my parents had brought it up but they kept insisting that I go. I lowered my eyes to the palms of my hands and sighed. The sun was beginning to set and it lit up the sky in beautiful reds and orange. I stared at it for while until I felt the car slow and pull into a large driveway. I looked over curiously to see the large mansion before me as the servant in the front stopped in front of it. I admit I was very hesitant at first but pulled some courage together and got out of the car. My sliver hair was a bit messy as always and my clothes weren't what you'd call rich boy clothing but you could say i didn't care for such things.

(wait is he doing the driving or did someone come to pick him up and drive him)

The sound of the car came way before I even saw it. The empty wilderness doesn't make much noise unless you make it of your own. The gravel road, was like an amplifier under the wheels. It pulled in behind the car on which's hood I had been sitting on and i waited.
I never really thought about the boy's appearance much, not at least until this moment. I wasn't sure what I had expected, but once he stepped out of the car, I knew that that wasn't it. I lifted myself from the hood of the car and approached the parked vehicle. "Welcome." I said, my hand extended towards the awkwardly dressed boy.

The place was truely magificent, much like my own luxuries home but the landscape and setting around it gave it a new kind of feeling. I swallowed nervously, noticing how dry my mouth was. I saw movement from the corner of my eye and looked over to see an outstretched hand in front of me. I looked up at the man who i figured most be my new tutor and I forced a smile and took his hand shaking it once or twice. "Thanks, would you happen to be the infamous Lauren Blake?" I asked. I honestly was unsure if that was the best thing to say but trying to talk so properly seemed to be one of my flaws strangly enough.

"Infamous, is that what I am now?" I spoke as I shook his hand. I guess I had to accept what the world threw at me. I shrugged as I watched the driver go around to get the boy's luggage. I tagged along and carried one too. "I haven't had much company here but I do hope for you make this place your home away from home this summer. He led the way to the heavyset double doors beyond the driveway.

I immedietly felt bad for my words and looked at the ground sheepishly. "I-I didn't mean anything by that..." My eyes followed Lauren curiously as he went to take some of my luggage and began walking towards the giant doors. I caught up and walked up next to him hesitantly looking at my suitcase. "You don't have to carry that, I can do it just fine." I gestured for it carefully. I looked over at Lauren questionably and then up at the large mansion. "You live here alone?" It occured to me how lonely this man most be even for being such a successful person. I definietly knew what that was like besides the being successful part.

"It's truly no trouble, you're my guest after all." He pushed the doors apart and walked into the marbled floor tiles. The house was very elegant in it's manliness. It was decorated by the woman whom he thought he'd be married to now. So there were a few feminine hints here and there. For instance the custom of keeping vases of fresh flowers on the coffee table and near the windows and the large scenic pictures that hung on the walls. The room was very spacious and the furniture was little more than a living room set of maroon and white sofas and a full entertainment set.

I set the suitcase down at the foot of the rounded staircase and let the driver carry it, along with the other in his hand, up to the bedroom. "You must be hungry or thirsty, I know how long the trip to the middle of nowhere can be." I spoke, reffering to my home address. I headed to the pair of double doors that led into the kitchen, and waited for him to follow.

"...thanks" i said quietly. I walked through the doors only to stop suddenly and gaze at the wonderous space around me. Parts of it did remind me of my own house but the only thing different was how quiet it was. My parents had a habit of always leaving classical music on with speakers in each room so we would have(in their minds) the pleasure of listening to the lovely music everywhere we go. For me it was more like I had no peace of mind and no room in my head to concentrate on anything else. I think they just did that in hopes that it would stir up some inspiration in me and possibly improve my ability to play the piano. I had no problem playing the piano, in fact I loved it but for me to listen to the same classical music over and over again just drove me crazy and probably made my playing worse.

I walked over to a scenic painting near the doorway and studied it with interest. I was pondering on the painting when I heard the man address me. I unglowed my eyes from the art and met his eyes "I suppose I am thirsty." I smiled nodding to him and followed.

"One of the benefits of living so far from civilization," I spoke as I reached for a glass. "Is getting the purest water around, directly from a spring well." I smiled, filling the glass with cold water from the stainless steel fridge. It was entirely too big for the small bit groceries it contained. My pantry on the other hand, was my lifeline.
I handed him the glass. "I warn you, savor the first taste. This will be the best water you've ever drank." The humor remained in my eyes as I sat back on one of the stools at the marble island in the middle of the kitchen. On one side of it was the dining table, a dark wood four seater with matching chairs. A basket of fruit served as the centerpiece. On the other side were the utilities and cabinets and sink. The room was painted a soft tan and the wooden refinery was a stark dark brown wood contrast. You either love it or you hate it. Quite frankly, between myself and the butler/driver there wasn't much protest.

I was quiet as he spoke and realized how much I was slouching. I stood up straighter and pulled my shoulders up like my parents had always hounded me about. For once they weren't here to constantly remind me and point out my mistakes in front of other people. "hmm, interesting. A spring well you say?" I wondered outloud as I took the glass from his hand carefully. I inspected the water and then peered at him curiously like he was keeping a funny secret from me. I lowered my gaze back to the glass as I began to drink. The taste really was as extoardinary as he said. It was crisp and refreshing and my eyes seemed to widen slightly. I nodded in agreement as I finished off the rest of it and clumsily wiped my mouth with my sleeve. "This water is wonderful, thank you." I suddenly felt grateful towards this man that treated me more like a person then a child like my parents did. "How do you like living here?" I asked

I smiled again. Boy was I that deprived of company? "Living here has it's benefits." I said. I turned once in the stool until I was facing him again. "No paparazzi, no city traffic, or pollution: lights, sound, or otherwise." I lowered my head slightly, trying to conceal a boyish blush that threatened to conquer my cheeks. There was also the fact that you can wonder your whole property naked as a Jaybird. I settled for, "There is lots of privacy. How do you like life back home?"

It was true, I had to agree with his point about city life but still I couldn't shake the feeling off that there was more to it. Was there something he wanted to escape from? "hmm..." I paused and slid my hands into the comfort of my coat pockets. "Yeah, it has its ups and downs. I live in California in the richer part of town overlooking a hill. I do live in a big city but near my home its not nearly as chaotic and I have a nice view of the city from up there. I shurgged staring down at my feet for no apparent reason and then hesitantly asked a question that was on my mind "....But Sir, don't you miss having the recongnition for your amazing talent?...what could be the point of playing if you can't play for others?" I asked honestly.

The question gave me pause. It was a bit soon to dive into such personal inquiries was it not? "In all honesty, I haven't played since I moved here. I do not know why." It may have not been the answer he was looking for, but a man of mystery I was born and shall remain. I stood then before giving him time to probe me any further. "Shall we see the rest of your new summer home?" I led the way through the pair of doors that led to the piano room. It might have been the best room in the house.
