User ImageIt was night time and everyone else had long gone to bed. Busara, however, was laying in her den wide awake once again. There were nights that Busara slept like a cub in her den, and then there were nights like these where sleep completely evaded her and she laid awake staring at the walls of her den.

It was on nights like these that her yearning for the outside world was the strongest and her heart beat in anticipation. Finally sitting up, Busara thought about going out again. Although, she knew that she shouldn’t least someone in the den saw her sneaking around and questioned her about it.

Well, hopefully they would understand since she had never lived in a pride before. She knew that she might be risking getting in trouble, but she got up and left the den anyways. Climbing down the mountain, she made her way to the border of the pride. She wouldn’t go too far.

(So sorry this took so long to reply to!.. and how the heck is this thread from August? xD )

He was a little nervous about this, to be quite honest. Yujin didn't want to end up being called a deserter, like his brother had. Now his own brother wasn't even welcome in his pridelands! And he had no intention of ending up the same way, because he was pretty loyal to his pride.

But Yujin was also young and curious. He wasn't going to become a messenger like his mother, so he really had no reason to expect to ever leave the highland again. And so while he was young he did want to go out a bit... He had even gotten his mother and a couple friends to cover for him for a few days while he went off and explored. But he couldn't be gone for long! Perhaps a couple weeks at the most, lest anyone noticed he were gone for too long. Probably less, because he didn't want to risk not letting back into his home.

Yujin had already begun to miss his home. These lands were too warm, not windy enough for his tastes. He would probably turn home soon, perhaps tomorrow. Tonight, though, he would explore a bit more. He had been heading towards a mountain he had seen in the distance for some time now, to see how much like home it was. He was nearly arriving at it when he spotted another lion.

A lioness would be a more appropriate term to describe the individual he saw. She was walking alone, and suddenly Yujin was curious. He hadn't actually met anyone on the outside since he left, and... well. Now was as good a time as any.

Besides, it was a lioness. He made his way towards her, making sure to keep a friendly, not-intimidating posture. Once close enough, he figured it was time for greeting. "Hello."

As soon as she's snuck past her pride's borders, she broke out into a run. Relishing the feel of the air beyond the mountain, she ran as fast as she could, not paying attention to where she was going. A soft laugh broke from her throat as feelings of excitement washed over her.

After a bit, she finally slowly down as looked behind her to see how far she had gone. With the mountain still blatantly in sight, she saw that she hadn't gone far at all. Busara was far away enough to not feel couped up, but close enough so that she could get back quickly if she needed to.

Oh, it felt so good to be out of there. She wasn't sure just how long it would take her to adjust to life on the "inside", but she hoped that it would happen quickly. Busara had done pretty well avoiding coming out here like this, but she couldn't resist. It was as though the very moon was calling to her.

Gazing up at the moon, she quickly snapped her head around at the sound of a voice. Least to her expectations, she saw a handsome young male approaching her. Cautious, but curious, she began to walk toward him as well.

"Hello," she greeted him, hoping that she wasn't making a careless mistake.

At first when she looked at him, Yujin was afraid he had startled the lioness, but eventually she turned to approach him as well. That was good, he hardly wanted to scare her off or anything. The dark lion just wanted some company, because he found he was a little lonely away from home. He raised his head slightly and smiled at her, once they were in a nicer talking-distance.

Before he said anything, he quickly reminded himself this lioness was not a member of his pride, and as such, he had to tell her his common name. "I'm Kaa. Why are you out here all alone?" He was aone too, but he could get to that afterwards, if she asked.

"Hello Kaa, I am Busara," she said pleasantly. Well, at least she hadn't been caught by one of her pride's members. She knew that she wouldn't get much other than a firm scolding by one of the council members, but still.

Not exactly in the mood to be fussed at like a cub, she did her best to be inconspicuous. Glancing around once more, she checked to see if in fact she was alone, but it seemed that her paranoia was only getting the better of her.

Looking back to her company for the night, she thought of an answer to give him that didn't sound too pathetic. "Well," she began,"In short, I'm not entirely sure that life within the walls of a pride suite me."

Gazing up at the glistening stars thoughtfully, Busara realizes that she is already feeling better than she did just before she left. "It is calming, being out here,' she paused before turning back to him, "What brings you here?"

Busara, he noted that name, in case he ever intended to remember it. As she glanced around, Yujin had the feeling she might be a runaway of some sort, and then her words confirmed it. Sneaking off a little from her pride, then. He smiled, because they were pretty similar. Except Yujin knew for certain that life in Tianxia suited him.

"What brings me here is..." He frowned, boredom didn't exactly sound poetic. "Adventure, curiosity." He offered with a slight shrug. Yujin took a step a bit closer, because she was still a couple paces too far for this to be a comfortable conversation, and sat down. "I wanted to see a bit of the rest of the world."

She laughed lightly at his response, admiring the youthful zest within the male before her. Oh, she was growing out of that fascinating stage of her young adulthod, and that fact was partially what the reason that she was there in the first place was.

Busara had never pinned herself for one to try to relive her glory days, but she couldn't even seem to be able to let go of them. Honestly, she was more than ready to settle down, only she didn't have a reason to. Sitting around by herself in perfect peace was maddening, and made her run.

"It is good to see the world while you're young," she spoke finally, "before life tries to get you. I wandered the deserts for a long time before I came here." Standing, she slowly filled some of the gap between the two of them so that she could speak to him more easily.

"Do you have a home nearby or have you come far?," she asked curiously.

Yujin nodded. "That's what I thought when I set out." Though, he figured he wouldn't mind being an old lion and going on a journey. It just seemed something he had to do at this point in his life, something he really wanted. He gaped slightly when she talked about the deserts, because he hadn't managed to get that far, and doubted he would. But he supposed it was for the best, he might not survive in them.

"I come from far." He admitted, because Tianxia really wasn't exactly in the neighborhood. The reminder of how far he had gone made him worry, because he was still afraid of not being welcomed home. "And I've still some ways to go before I return." Kind of. He wondered if he said that to sound mysterious or cool. Well, it didn't matter.

"Well, it seems like you're in for quite an adventure," she said in response. She remembered her teenage days, when her only goals were fun and excitement. Life had been lonely, but good, seeking out life only for herself.

It had been fun being selfish, wild, and carefree, but somewhere between then and now, her resolve had switched gears. Busara never did think that the loneliness would creep into her heart like it eventually did.

"Just make sure not to get lost out here. Life can be quite treacherous in these lands," she vaguely warned with a smile on her face. Standing, she briefly stretched out her limbs and smiled to him and said, "I don't know what a handsome young man such as yourself is doing far from home, but I hope that you return safely and have fun on the way."

Yujin nodded, because he was still quite excited about what the world had for him. Even if a little afraid about what might happen when he went home. He just hoped, in the end, that it was all worth it.

At the mention of getting lost, he seemed suddenly convinced he could get lost, because he said, "I hope I don't get lost either... If you have a few hours, would you mind showing me around a bit?" This was the first outsider Yujin had actually met and talked to, so he wold honestly like to learn a bit more about her, and her pride, and... anything, really. He was a curious lion!

With a bright smile growing on her face, Busara nodded to him, "Of course I will." She stood and thought of the best direction to take him so that he would be most able to navigate the lands. Not wanting to get too close to the others near the mountains, least she get caught. So instead, she selected a unmarked path that she knew through the neighboring forests.

"Let's go this way," she said, indicating the direction with a flick of her tail," Follow me." With that, she walked off into the forest with him alongside her and they slowly disappeared among the trees. Busara thought that she might not care if she got caught. It would be worth it.
