Hair Description- Short and straight, but messy; as if he just got out of bed

Markings- Shishi lion tattoo on his right shoulder, stretching to his upper chest.
Description- Hikaru is very young compared to other shinigami, and makes it clear in the way that he wears his uniform and in the way that he carries himself. His short black hair reaches for the sky at odd angles, and his bangs fall over his thin eyebrows without a care. His bold amber eyes are intensely amplified by the even bolder yellow-tinted sunglasses that Hikaru wears night and day. With thin lips and sparkling teeth, he smiles cockily at his teammates and enemies.

His shinigami uniform sports no sleeves whatsoever; they've been completely ripped off! Hikaru's lack of sleeves show off his blue and black Shishi tattoo in all its glory. On his left wrist, he wears a modern, black, digital watch set to the exact time of day in the Seireitei. Instead of the standard waraji, Hikaru wears a pair of 5cm geta with black straps.

Personality

Relationships- None
Description- Hikaru Soejima is a young and proud shinigami. Above all, he prefers to rely on his own abilities than those of others in the same sense as the phrase "If you want something done right, do it yourself". His pride and sense of self-worth can be read as him being arrogant or a lone wolf. If his team isn't on-par with him in action or in spirit, Hikaru is likely to try and take on the team's task alone, for better or worse. None of this takes place without scathing remarks, comments, and complaints from this Shinigami.

While he may have many vices, Hikaru always gives great respect to his superiors, teachers, and forerunners. Thanks to his aggressive self-esteem, he is a dependable partner (as long as you're as good or better than him!) Hikaru isn't all bark and no bite, either. When he's not working, he keeps himself busy with something that can be justified as training, like playing a strategy game with a fellow squadmate (tactical training, hzah!), reading his favorite type of books (comprehension and puzzle-solving training, right on!), or running errands (speed training, for the win!)

Zanpakuto

Spirit's Name- Hatsuhinode (First Sunrise of a New Year)
Sealed Appearance- A katana with a red and orange grip, a brass guard in the shape of the sun, and a brass ring pommel. The blade is bright and polished to the point that it seems to glitter in the light.
Spirit's Description- The spirit of Hatsuhinode takes the form of a woman who wears an odd ensemble of matching white leather boots, white low-rise denim jeans, a white t-shirt that hugs her tight frame, and a white leather biker jacket. Hastuhinode's eyes burn red with unbridled passion. Her short, spiky hair glows orange like hot coals.

Hatsuhinode is a brash girl with a short fuse. However, she tries to be a good friend to Hikaru, and is always willing to give him help... if he would just suck up his pride and ask for it!

She loves seeing a beautiful sky, but hates the dark.
Shikai Release Phrase-Bask, Hatsuhinode!
Shikai Description- Released, Hatsuhinode becomes a Sasumata. Like most Shikai, Hatsuhinode's color scheme is black and white. The entire staff is jet black. The metal head of the sasumata is white, and the spikes on it are black. At the bottom end, there are a few white rings.
Abilities-
(Italicized abilities have yet to be learned)

★ Shuujitsu (All Day): Hatsuhinode's techniques are based around the manipulation of sunlight. As a result, Hatsuhinode must be in direct sunlight for Hikaru to use her abilities. Once the sun has fallen, or she is brought into a windowless interior area, Hatsuhinode is no better than a standard katana. Shuujitsu isn't all negative, though. During certain times of the day, choice abilities gain new effects, or otherwise become amplified.

★Kajitsu (Beautiful Day): Hatsuhinode's first technique is one that creates a fanned-out blade of light. Light forms between the arms of the head-piece to make a shining blade made of pure sunlight that burns those who touch it. The light-blade is about four feet long by default. If activated while a body-part is between the prongs of the sasumata, it can instantly amputate that body part if the victim doesn't resist with their reiatsu.

At dawn and nearing dusk, Kajitsu's length and strength adjust to the sun's angle. When facing away from the sun, the light blade doubles in length, but halves in power. When facing the sun, the blade halves in length, and doubles in energy.

★ Shinkirō (Mirage): When called upon, Hatsuhinode glows bright with sunlight. Quickly, the light dims. When the staff is moved from the initial position, a perfect recreation of Hatsuhinode floats in midair. This mirage staff is real to the touch, but will vanish if put under too much strain (such as from an enemy blow) or if one of Hatsuhinode's abilities is used through it.

The mirage can be ordered to work like a trap. It can stay stationary in the air, and wait for a trigger of some sort (such as a voice command). When triggered, the fake Hatsuhinode made by Shinkiro will execute a Kokuten. By this method, multiple Kokuten can be used simultaneously.

★ Kokuten (Sunspot): When called upon, Hatsuhinode can condense sunlight into a thick, concentrated beam of energy. The energy beam made by Kokuten is roughly five feet in diameter, and is fired from the spiked head of Hatsuhinode. Kokuten will travel straight for miles until the beam hits an object or dark shadows.

At high noon, the power of Kokuten increases dramatically. While the sun is high in the sky, Hikaru can call Kokuten beams directly from the sky as if they were artillery shells! At sunrise or sunset, Kokuten means can be fired in the same way, but horizontally away from the sun.


Bankai Release Phase-This is the Dawning of a New Day, Bōsōzoku no Hatsuhinode!
Bankai Description- Bōsō-zoku no Hatsuhinode (The First Sunrise of a Motorcycle Gang) takes the form of a roughly four-foot long, snow white, metal club with a black grip.

Upon transformation, Hikaru's clothes change as well to mimic the spirit, Hatsuhinode. While sustaining Bankai, Hikaru wears a gleaming white tokko-fuku overcoat that shows off his bandaged chest. On the right arm is a white arm band with a rising sun embroidered upon it. Like the spirit Hatsuhinode, Hikaru's pants become white denim jeans, and his sandals become white leather boots.

Abilities-

★ Kyokujitsu (Rising Sun): The moment that Hatsuhinode becomes Bankai, the sky erupts into color. Regardless of the time of day, a temporary sun rises in the East and in the West, granting out-of-doors power and range boosts like that of Shuujitsu.

★ Taiyō Furea (Solar Flare): An upgraded form of Kokuten. As Kyokujitsu summons a sun from both the east and west, one rising and one setting, Hatsuhinode can create deadly, ten-foot-diameter beams of sunlight that travel horizontally until they reach an object or dense shadows.

★ Tobihi (Leaping Flames): Bōsō-zoku no Hatsuhinode, by default, lets Hikaru move at speeds that rival the greatest masters of Shunpo. Hikaru moves at speeds so incredibly fast that he ignites the air into flames when he comes to a stop. The air around a braking-point will stay lit with match-sized flames for up to a minute.

★ Inkaten (Flash Point): The metal body of Bōsō-zoku no Hatsuhinode can catch and absorb the flames generated by Tobihi by simply waving the club through the fiery air. As Hatsuhinode catches more and more embers in the air, the white metal turns red with pure heat energy.

Once Bōsō-zoku no Hatsuhinode is crimson red, Hikaru can activate Inkaten. When Inkaten is activated, a great, shining blade made of pure heat and sunlight erupts from Bōsō-zoku no Hatsuhinode's metal body.


Abilities


★ Shunpo Expert: Hikaru far exceeds other shinigami of his class in speed and stamina, such that he could be called an expert of Shunpo.

★ Expert Swordsman: Hikaru is quite skilled with a standard katana, such as the sealed form of Hatsuhinode.

★ Kido Expert: Since becoming a Shinigami, Hikaru has learned Bakudo:
1, 4, 9, 21, 26, 30, 61, 62, 63 and Hadou: 1, 4, 11, 31. He can perform them effortlessly and effeciently, without watsing any

★Hakuda Practitioner: While Hikaru can fight with just his body, it is simply not his style, and hasn't worked to improve his abilities with it.

History

Human World- Hikaru was trained as a samurai in his early life. He was proving to be a great swordsman, and would have been a great samurai, if it had not been for his untimely death in the 1858 Hietsu Earthquake.
Early Soul Society- Hikaru's placing in the Soul Society was beneficial to his future. He was adopted into a rich, but non-noble family shortly after appearing in the Rukongai. Thanks to his sword skills and ambient spiritual pressure and the daily training he put himself through to maintain his skills, he was offered the chance to enroll in the Shinigami academy.
In the 13 Court Guard Squads Thus far, Hikaru has proved himself worthy of being in his chosen squad, Squad 6. His latent combat skill, combined with the strategic use of his Zanpakuto got him to the 8th seat with little resistance. The rest of the way, however, is another story.

I like it, the only sort of issue I have is when their is no sunlight you are highly weakened. I will accept in hopes that you know what you would do in these sort of situations as their may be many.
