Fullmetal Alchemist, the first anime; I would almost suggest it over Brotherhood in the fact that the original FMA took off in its direction halfway through, rather than just do everything the manga does (not that there's anything wrong with it).

Gurren Lagann, in that it's one of THE most fun anime ever created. Whether or not Gainax intended it, after watching this show you'll feel inspired to take on the world. Plus if you're a fan of giant robot shows, this one's an all-out love letter to them.

Escaflowne; as it has a little bit of something for everyone. Action and giant suits of armor/robots for the guys, romance and pretty boys for the girls, and catgirls for everyone else. The movie's alright too, though I'd have preferred a continuation to the series' story rather than a gritty remake.

Chrome Shelled Regios is a fantastic anime. It is only one season long right now, but supposedly a second is in the making. It has a lot of action, but it also delves into some romantic interests and what not. There are some cut scenes that are weird at first, but you learn to love them.

I will post one every week ^.^

Since school is starting back up, and I have major stress issues we made Friday night our Asian night. We pick a new anime to watch, and order some Chinese food (we don't have Japanese nearby). We decided this would be a good stress reliever for me, and a nice treat once a week. So every weekend I will post a new anime that I watched.

Tomorrow we are going to watch Dragon Quest. I have an obsession with the game, and we found an anime so we decided to choose this one first. I can't wait!

I encourage anyone who is interested in anime to make one night your rest and relaxation night with anime. We are busy during the week, so this gives us a huge break. It is great.

Sea-Salt Ice Cream

This is completely off topic, and I am sorry.
BUT, I looked at your deviant art and saw that you like Utada Hikaru.
Her music is great. My boyfriend showed me Hana Yori Dango the live action show, and her music is played in every episode. I loved it.

Oh yeah, I'm a big fan of her; ever since Kingdom Hearts came out, haha. It's a shame that she's semi-retired at the moment, but better than her dragging herself out. I'm just hoping she'll give one last hurrah for whenever Kingdom Hearts III decides to show itself.

That's cool though; I'll have to look up clips of that. I know the live-action Casshern movie used one of her songs at the end (though I don't know if it's worth sitting through that movie again : P).

Dragon Quest: Legend of the Hero Abel
I have watched the first 5 episodes of Dragon Quest.
(It is hard to find them >.<)
I will admit the artwork is a lot like DB/Z.
However, the story line is something entirely different.
This is the link for the info.
I would recommend it for anyone who likes action and humor.

Requiem from the Darkness- very good, amazing angles and interesting art style. Warning though, I believe it is rated for either older teens or those 18 and above for both sexual content, and dark and disturbing scenes. It's by no means a "dirty" anime, just has a few parts in it.

If you can find it, Gegege no Kitaro is amazing!!! I haven't gotten to see much of it myself, but what I have seen I have loved. This is rated for everyone I believe biggrin

Kaleido Star is another amazing anime, and is family friendly. It's very good, and I highly recomment it.

Lastly is Princess Tutu. Yes, it is a magical girl anime, but despite that it is very dark and really amazing, and not a typical magical girl anime.

Cowboy Bebop- I really enjoyed this anime. I may go back and watch it sub. (I watched it dub because at the time of first watching I could not read subtitles very well.) If you are not watching for the characters, watch for the jazzy OST.

Samurai Champloo- I am in a love-hate relationship with this show! I love it about every other watching! It is directed by the same person who did Cowboy Bebop, and it was over all nice. The soundtrack is interesting for the setting. (A bit Hip-hop, yes?)

Trigun- A classic if anything. I would watch (or read!) Trigun for the comedy in it. This anime is a bit over the top at times, but in a good way. It stays with the same plot for a few episodes at a time, and is over all good! Paradise is the saddest episode.

Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt- Not for young children! Or really any children. Ladies may wanna stay away too. Same with most others. It is very out there with some of the jokes. But pretty good for thirteen episodes.

Durarara!!- Twenty three episodes of plot changes. I LOVED IT!

I haven't recommended anime in forever.
We haven't had Asian night in so long, except for this past weekend.

November 4th, 2011 - Shuffle -
This is a fantastic anime!!
HOWEVER, there is also a ton of nudity and pervy moments.
I just like the anime, because it is hysterical and oh em gee to me.
Without all the nudity and pervy moments, it would still be fantastic.
Here is a link to the information.
It is a romantic comedy anime, but my boyfriend loved it.
He is normally into Gundams and action packed anime.
I would recommend this for teens+ because of the nudity.
3/4 stars most definitely ^.^

January 25th, 2012 - Toriko-
This anime makes me hungry, but it is full of amazing action.
I recommend it to anyone who likes action and humor, because that is what you get with Toriko.
I started off reading the manga (which is just as good), but moved over to the anime when it was released.
Here is a link to the information.
3/4 stars! Check it out ^.^
