Jester was curled by a tree, hiding from the loud Virtue. She had been trying to befriend him for weeks, and Jester was not having any of it. He didn't like girls much, they terrified him with their loud squealing and and chattering and clingyness. He liked being the sweet one, but girls always wanted that role. Always wanted to pounce on him and squeal a embarrassing nickname or nomming on him like he was some stuffed animal.
He was not amused, pressed against the tree as he heard foot-steps drawing near, worried if it was Virtue or not. The blond was to much for him, way to loud and way to hyper. He wouldn't mind being her friend if she was... quieter.
So here he was, hiding from some girl he barely knew and feeling very, very pathetic. As usual.

Mycroft was in complete observation mode. He was currently studying the new ecology he had found himself in and it was fascinating. Staying very slow and very quiet, in order to disturb as little as possible, the star dotted fox drew closer to Jester's hiding spot. So focused was the fox on the sounds of this place and not just the sights, Mycroft heard the tiny movements Jester made.
Mycroft froze and tensed his muscles. If it was a danger, he was ready, if it wasn't then the stillness would allow him to observe the animal better. Turning his head slowly, Mycroft caught sight of a pink and black tail tip and relaxed a little. Mycroft had known another fox was in the vicinity, it seemed as if this was the one. Wrinkling his nose, Mycroft remembered that manners were the correct process to follow when meeting new foxes and called out a greeting. "Hello."

When he heard a voice call out to him, Jester scrambled frantically away from the tree. Skittering to the side, he only stopped moving when he realized it was a male and not Virtue, having been so tense he hadn't realized that their voices were completely different. His eyes blinked, slowly unraveling from his hunkered down position.
"H-Hello." He stammered back, still restless from being scared the crap out of. He took this time to scan the male, noting that he didn't seem hostile. He wasn't crouching down with his tail lashing, nor was his mouth twitching with disgust.
So, was he safe? Jester rose to his full height (which wasn't much), and curled his tail around him nervously. "You aren't friends with that.... that... girl with curly blond hair.... are you?"

Mycroft took in the startled movement, timid body language even after calming down, and even analyzed the other male's tone and voice modulation. He decided speaking softly would be the best way to address this particular fox.
"I don't believe so." Mycroft said in response to the other male's question. "I am only friends with one fox and he is male. Of the females I recall meeting, none have had blonde hair." He paused and tried to remember how the rest of the manners process went. He didn't want to ask after the fox's health or mental state...it was obvious he was hiding from someone. A blonde haired, female fox, possibly.
More information was needed, Mycroft could tell. "Why are you hiding from..." he hesitated, not wanting to make an assumptions but he'd get usable information either way, "her?"

Jester's head tilted to the side, wondering why one wouldn't run from her. Though, if he didn't know her, of course he'd be asking that question.
His tail flicked as he frowned, pawing at the ground. "Most girls are to loud." He glanced at the starry male. "I hate loud girls, they frighten me. She's been stalking me ever since I passed by her." He shuddered visibly, looking away to the side.
"So I've been running from her...." He paused, looking at the male and timidly pawing at the ground with a black paw. "And she keeps following." He sighed softly, looking at the male.

So...Mycroft had been correct. Not surprising, but it was nice to know he could read foxes correctly. Mycroft listened to the other male and shook his head. Generalization was a common mistake to make, but it was poor observation skills. He could see how a loud fox would drive off one such as this pink one, though.
"I see. Have you tried to tell her that she is talking too loud and acting too boldy? She may not be aware. If you sit her down and present the facts to her logically, she may accept and become quieter and even stop stalking you." A picture of Amaryllis, an extremely stubborn vixen, came to mind. "Then again she may not. I've met a female that resisted listening to logic."

He turned at this.
"She cornered me into a tree and I did." Pause. "She merely smiled, winked, and said that I would learn to appreciate her....loudness." He stared to the side, listening intently. "She does not listen! I tried.... I tried with her." He shuddered, not because he hated the vixen, more because the image of her tackling him like she had when she first saw him made him shudder.
"She called me pinkie and tried to claim me as hers when she first saw me." He looked at the other male. "I don't like girls, but she keeps tackling me into things." With this, the male timidly lowered to the ground slightly as he heard chatter from nearby, knowing it was the vixen from hell.

Mycroft sighed. Another intractable female. If it weren't for his mothers he probably would have started to assume no female could be logical or even understand it. Not that he believed all males followed logic above everything else either. This pink male seemed to be far more emotional than he was used to. Blinking, Mycroft realized he had been staring during his analysis and he was pretty sure that counted as 'rude'.
Names! That's what Mycroft had forgotten in his process. "If your name isn't Pinkie, what is it? I'm Mycroft." There. That fixed that problem. The next one was harder. "This female you speak of doesn't seem to know the 'manners' very well. Don't they include personal space and being nice to other foxes?" That seemed to be what Mycroft had been told. Ears twitching slightly, he picked up the sound of talking. Going by the male's body language, this was the fox he was trying to hide from. "Is that the female?"

Jester had noticed the male was staring, tail flicking to one side and staring at him back, just as rude. When the male, Mycroft, spoke to him he blinked at him, eyes flicking to the side. "Jester." He said, the second question causing his ear to flick once. "Manners? I suppose.... Being nice depends on if the other person themselves are nice, and personal space also depends on if another person minds or not."
Ah, he was talking more than usual. His head flicked nervously at the sound again, nodding. "Y-Yes, I think so." He confirmed, ears flicking against his head. Why couldn't she be quieter?

Mycroft didn't even notice Jester staring at him as he had been analyzing, and didn't always obey the same social strictures. He nodded at the new information Jester gave him, filing it away under 'niceties, manners and their bylines'.
"Well, there's nothing to be done by hiding. The only thing that will make her stop is you; either by logic or rudeness. All the evidence you gave me says that if you run, she'll follow. So everything points to you haveing to confront her until she gives up." Mycroft said, nodding.

Jester eyed Mycroft as he spoke, looking to the side again. He wasn't stupid, he knew that he was right. In fact, many thought he was stupid due to the way he hid from girls and was a snuggler, but that was beyond the point. Dread filled his heart at the thought of dealing with a girl that didn't listen to reason.
"Well..." He glanced over at him. "Can you help me?" He asked, ears flicking. "Like... tell me how to use logic? I don't want to be rude... even if she is a-" Stalker "Bit pushy."

He should have seen that one coming. "I can attempt to be of assistance, but I'm rather inept at societal interactions. Logic, however, is easy. You present the facts and from the facts you make your deductions and inferences." Mycroft explained. "Basically you tell her what she's been doing, what you don't like, and the deduction thereof: you do not want to be around her while she acts like that.
For himself, Mycroft would stay to observe the interaction. Aside from re-explaining the logic if the female didn't get it the first time, there was little Mycroft could do. From what Jester said, which was admittedly secondhand for him, the female would not just give up and go. Mycroft sighed. He did so dislike arguments where one side allowed emotion to cloud logic.

He watched the male as he spoke, head tilting to one side, than the other. Mycroft spoke in a very technical fashion, it was different than he was used to. Though, he kept up, orange eyes flicking over just as he heard the sound of paws nearby. He blinked, turned to Mycroft, and nodded.
"Well," He paused, nodding. "O-Okay." He seemed a little worried, mostly because he didn't see this working on this particular vixen. Though he waited, jumping in absolute fright when a vixen hopped onto his tail from behind.
"GAH!" "There you areeeee, pinkie~" Virtue chirped, proud to have found the male that she had somehow lost earlier. He kept making strange noises and running away.... she just didn't understand why. She was a delightful creature, didn't he know that? Jester jumped at her voice, bristling not out of anger but of being uncomfortable, moving awaaaaay from her. He turned to look at Mycroft, ears back.
Should he.... just tell her he didn't like her? He just waited for a sign, a nod of the head perhaps, from Mycroft. The vixen began to braid his hair, causing him to twitch away.

Mycroft watched the interaction between the two and wasn't remotely surprised. Jester seemed to be nervous and very submissive. This female, on the other hand, was obviously dominant and more than a tad over bearing. Mycroft found the two of them and their byplay facinating.
Not being big on social nuances or what was considered rude or not, when Jester looked at him he spoke. "Well, if you aren't going to tell her why you want her to leave, you can't expect her to. Simple cause and effect." If Jester wanted her to go, he'd have to be the one to do it. Firmly. Otherwise the female was most likey not going to belive the pink male.

Jester shook his head. No. Mycroft could not help him. This new male had been so kind to talk to him, he needed to stick up for himself!
"Well!" He started out with a strong breath. "You're really loud." His voice wavered. What if she took it wrong and started to cry? "I-I mean that... I... I don't like loud things and... wait... it's not that I don't like you.... I just..."
Virtue blinked at him, then at the strange blue male, then back at the pink one. Her head tilted. "Are you saying I'm annoying you?"
"Yes! No wait.. not... I... I don't like girls a lot.... wait it's not that I don't like them!" Breathe. "It's just you're really loud and it hurts my head and..." His ears flopped down, he was ruining this so bad.
