Celeste the Queen of Sirens
Celeste began to ponder on her past, as she sat on an abandon dock overlooking the sea. As she contemplated she was filled with angst and anger. Who was she why was she here. Things seemed so confusing. She reached for a pearly-white conch-shell that had been resting upon the dock, she put it to her ear. The sound of waves coming from within the shell seemed to calm her, at last she could think. "I know who I am," she said aloud, "My name is Celeste Coventina. I am the Queen of all Sirens." She began to think once more, remembering her life’s story as if it had only happened yesterday, I first became a Siren when I was assaulted and left to drown by a gang of drunkards. I thought I was going to die that night but the something amazing happened... Persephone gave me a tail and allowed me to breathe underwater. She made me the Queen of all Sirens and I therefore began to live at sea. I use to live on the island of Anthemoessa where the last Sirens settled after serving Persephone, but I sought out vengeance, and therefore made Siren's cove, luring mindless men into my cove, seducing them, simply to kill them in the end. Pirates seek me out, because they know the true strength of my powers. Immense powers I acquired form both Poseidon (to heal the body and move water) and Hades (to bring death and banish the dead). She paused, putting the conch-shell back on the dock as she peered up at the setting sun. "Yes, such power. They will come again," she whispered in a low agitated voice, just before disappearing into the dark water below.
