Nakashima Siblings - Naomi's Background Story
One and a half year after the death of her first husband, Yuna had already gotten married again. She fell in love during the moments she least expected it after the death of her husband. It was not her fault though, the man she met seemed to be the perfect husband for her. His name was Yuu, a handsome man who caught the attention of Yuna with just one glance. He was not as skilled as Yuna with the arts of genjutsu but his abilities were far above average when it came to ninjutsu. There was also something that made him completely different from most of the shinobi, he was able to perform jutsu with one single hand and had the rare ice element.
From that marriage another child was born, this time Yuna gave birth to a girl. The name of the girl was Naomi, Yuna's second child. She lived with her older brother, Fuzen, and her parents in Konoha for years. During those years, Yuu's behavior changed, since the birth of his daughter. Yuna and Fuzen had also noticed that. Yuu was very kind to both, Yuna and Fuzen before and for the first years after his daughter's birth. As the time passed, he became more agressive and somewhat overprotective of Naomi.
One week after Naomi turned eight years old, she spent all day helping Yuna with a few house chores. At that time Naomi had already started learning the way of a shinobi at the academy of Konoha, and Yuu's behavior was a complete opposite from how he was when he and Yuna got married. He started drinking and often got home drunk, he stopped doing missions and was considered unable to perform shinobi tasks. On that day it wasn't an exception, Yuu got home late and drunk. Yuna and Naomi were both asleep and Fuzen was nowhere to be seen. "Damn...sleeping so peacefully..." the man said with a disgusted voice. He was completely drunk and the fact that his wife was asleep angered him. In his mind she should be awake to serve him. "Wake up!" he ordered and violently shook her body. Yuna woke up confused and startled. The sight of her husband on her bad and smelling like if he took a shower with sake made her aware of the situation but she was afraid of him. "Calm down! Yuu, stop it!" Yuna told him, there was no need for him to be like that but that's not how it worked in his mind. The woman strugled and tried to break free from his grip while begging him to stop. The man kept hold of her and did nothing other than argue, in his current state, he would not be able to do more than that at once and Yuna's words bothered him.
Their voices woke Naomi up and the eight years old girl went to check what was going on. When she got to her parent's bedroom, she saw as her father threathened her mother with words and held her while doing so. "Okaa-san!" the girl went to help her mother, trying to pull Yuu's arm that held Yuna down. Yuu got mad at his daughter's action and pushed her away from him with a single movement of his arm. "Are you going to take your mother's place then? Are you?" he said, angered and drunk at that moment Yuu was probably willing to do anything, even attack his own daughter. "No! Stop that!" Yuna yelled as her husband went towards their daughter. She hurried and tried to grab him, but she was thrown backwards by the man. "Ugh!" When Yuna was pushed by Yuu, she tripped and fell down. On her fall, she hit her head on the headboard of her own bed. The blunt impact caused by the headboard was a fatal blow and led to the woman's death.
Fuzen, who wasn't home for some reason, had just arrived home and heard the sound of what could be a fight going on in the house. He hurried to his mother's bedroom and the scene that he found was horrible. Yuu was looking at his wife after she hit her head and assumed she was just unconscious. "See what you made me do?" he turned back to Naomi, without noticing Fuzen at entrance of the room. At that moment Naomi got scared and her legs did not obey her, she fell backwards as her own father went towards her, threathening the little girl. She could do nothing but cry at what was going on, but the man was not moved by that. The scene angered Fuzen, he was quite close to Naomi and he was also some kind of protector to her. Without hesitating the boy, who was also training to become a strong shinobi, pulled a kunai out of his holster. As Yuu held Naomi down with one single hand, Fuzen charged at the drunk man and pierced his throat with the kunai. Yuu had not noticed the boy until it was too late and he let go of Naomi. Fuzen quickly pulled his sister away from the man and she hugged him tightly, she didn't know why that was happening but she knew that her brother protected her. The girl cried as she hugged Fuzen, who looked at Yuu in his final moments.
On the next day, the children of the Nakashima family disappeared from Konoha and the corpses of their parents were found by other villagers. The kunai used to kill Yuu was not left behind so no evidence of what Fuzen did would be found. The two children of the Nakashima family ran from Konoha and found refuge in another village, Kirigakure no Sato.
