General Guild Rules
1. PG-13 - Gaia is PG-13ish…sorta so please act accordingly.
2. No Flaming – No burning hatred on my hard work. If you want to in character bicker for rp purposes that’s fine but no ooc fighting. Take it to the PMs
3. Be Respectful- Everyone is entitled to their own opionion and to share. Share it not kick the door down and show it up their (insert obscenity of your choice here)
4. No Begging - Please don't come here to ask for gold or items on Gaia. I sank over 1.5 Mil into this so go pester someone else.
5. The Classified- Ask permission before Advertising anything, and only post them in the 'Advertising' thread.
6. No Complaining Topics - If you have a complaint, send a Mod a PM, or post in the Suggestions/Complaints topic. I don’t want individual topic for that.
7. Respect the Moderators and please be patient when waiting for approvals.
General Role-playing Rules
1. This a literate role-play guild. Please keep the use of l33t sp34k or other text talk (such as 'plz halp meh') to the OOC forums, and it should NEVER be used in the Role-play. I want this to read like a story not a bunch of red necks toting boomsticks around.
2. No Godmodding. (a.k.a. Dodging all attacks and generally acting more powerful than your rank. You will be shot stabbed and set on fire from time to time…well maybe not set on fire)
3. No Auto-hitting, or Auto-killing (This applies to ranks much higher than your and pvp only you can easy say I blew and E rank’s head off from the maximum range of my gun).
4. No meta-gaming. (Using OOC knowledge to determine your RPC's actions without a sufficient RP explanation/proper evidence)
5. Please keep OOC comments to a minimum when in an RP forum/thread. If there is an argument about a post/character/firearm, or anything, bring it to the chatroom or PMs. DO NOT spam the RP forum with OOC or Thanatos will hunt down your character and kill him! (yes he’s secretly a member of the Grammar Nazis!)
General RPC/Profile Rules
1. Do not attack NPC marked as friendly. They are important to my plot and they will kill you in the most horrific and yet awesome god modded fashion possible. Ol’ Pete will break his foot of in your a** if you cross him!
2. You may not use or buy any items you do not have the xp to use.
3. You are expected to keep track of your gold and xp- see how to play manual
4. Pay attention to weapon and mod restrictions. Some things cannot be used in unison.
5. You cannot start Role-playing until your profile has been approved by a guild mod.
Death of an RPC
1. You CAN be killed. Your actions have consequences... and if they are particularly dumb, it could cost you your RPCs life. (However, in general, Thanatos will protect you from any unfair head-hunting.)
2. When you die, your RPC is gone. You cannot create a 'clone' of your RPC but you can create a new character that has the items and xp your previous character had. You must create a new bio, stats, ect. (costs 10000 gold and yes you can have a – amount and be in debt if you want to save your hard work.)
3. If your RPC dies, you must post their profile in the 'Graveyard' and give a brief synopsis of what led up to their death. You can go more in depth and add a epitaphs and obituary report ect.
Other Role-play related Rules:
1. Respect the orders of your Commanding Officer. Thanatos and his officers have the right to kill you if you defect or commit acts of treason. If you attempt to leave and become a runaway, A squad or Thanatos himself WILL come after you, and you WILL have to fight them off to survive You cannot kill the squad or Thanatos but you can escape and even injure them if you use tactics!
2. Technology is limited. Instances of technology include: Weaponry, Headphones, Research/Hospital computers, and neon lights can exist. There are no laser guns, no time warp, ect.
3. Engaging NPCs outside of missions – to keep RPCs from unrealistically and unfairly xp/item/gold farming hostile NPCs there will be a set number of Hostile NPCs a RPC can engage daily (IN REAL TIME). This currently limited to combat a day (1 to 6 enemies) outside of story missions. There is a guideline to this under the how to play manual. Read it before randomly killing enemies you made up.
