 The sun was shining. The birds singing their happy tunes of a wonderful day. A lone fox could be seen trotting down the dirt path by the grasslands. His tail flickered back and forth happily as a smile could be seen again the black fur. His white skeletal markings stood out greatly on his coat. A small white crown could be seen among the tuff mess of black hair. "Good morning! Good morning! To you!" The fox began to sing as he began to bounce in between steps.

 Caleb was lounging on a soft bed of grass, his heavily dolled up eyes looking up at the clouds. He had finally found a way to get away from his crazy housemates. He loved them dearly, both he saw as brothers, but when one has the emotional range of a toothpick and the other such a pessimist that it almost seems like a cloud looms over his head, Caleb can feel the life being sucked out from him.
His ears perked up as he saw another noodle coming this way. His voice carrying happily over the rolling trail he seemed to practically glide on. Caleb smiled, standing up and shaking out his fur. He smiled politely at the other greeting him with a small nod, before he went to stretch out his back, accentuating his muscles as they stretched and bent to his will.

Konani, the black and white fox, spotted a natural colored fox. The dolled up eyes and luxurious hair caught him off guard from his singing. He gave a wide grin then trotted off towards the stretching fox. "Good mornin'!" He spoke happily as he gave a friendly smile. He gave a bow, but his crown felt off onto the ground. "Pardon me! My crown doesn't seem to stay on tight enough." He speaks as he picks it up then gives a nervous giggles. "Such pretty eyes you have! Mine just glow cause I'm special." He said as his tail wagged furiously.

He watched in absolute delighted amusement as the otherls crown slipped off and his reaction. It was rather comical. He looked at the crown, analyzing it softly before returning his focus to the other's words. Caleb couldn't help but blush at the compliment. He looked away, his long eyelashes cascading over his eyes, blocking them from view. He giggled at the other comment. Special? How odd.... "Special huh? I think that is quite interesting. I can make my eyes glow...if I put glitter around them..." he teased.
He watched the other's tail, like he was coming under hypnosis, before blinking and meeting those glowing eyes again. "My name's Caleb. What's yours?"

Konani blinked then tilted his head to the slight slightly. "Well I say special, but others call me an odd ball." He spoke a bit seriously then giggled like a little school girl. "My eyes have always been glowing since I could remember. My crown glows too. It helps me see at night or when it rains." Speaking calmly then blinks at the name. " Caleb? Isn't that a boy's name? Well, I'm Konani." Asking then giving his name as he looked at the fox curiously. He was uncertain why such a beautiful creature would have a name that was completely different. "You are a girl, right?"

Caleb continued to smile as the male went on. He was so quirky. It was perfect. Caleb wanted him around so much more. He felt his smile growing to a full smile, exposing his pearly teeth about the rain bit. It was so specific, he couldn't help but adore this other already. "You're such an oddity, but that's a wonderful thing."
His face darkened for a moment, as he looked away, analyzing his silken scarf. "Uh no...I'm a guy...actually." It wasn't that he was ashamed of being male and being this way. No, not in the least bit. It was just he was very much enjoying the company of the other, and to have him leave or be scared off, well, it would hurt Caleb terribly. He found him to be so amusing and such a breath of fresh air. He inhaled a deep breath holding it momentarily and allowing it to slowly escape his lips, trying to calm himself already if anything were to go wrong at this point.

"An oddity?" Konani said curiously as his tail wagged. He gave giggled then bounced around Caleb with a large grin. "Does this mean we can be friends?" Asking as he sat in front of him, waiting for a reply to his question. He smiled as he felt like singing, but wanted to wait on him. "That's pretty neat! I thought you were a girl all along! Had me fooled, but you look really nice." He said with a giggle then tipped his crown to Caleb.

Caleb's eyes glistened happily as the other seemed to have absolutely no care in his gender. He smiled, feeling relief fill his lungs. "Yes, of course we can be friends," Caleb answered with a soft giggle.
He preened his hair momentarily, bringing his scarf to wrap around his head and sarcastically batted his eyelashes. "I fool a lot of foxes. I mean, look at this face." He snorted at himself, instantly moving his scarf back around his shoulders and going to lay down in the grass. "I'm an oddity myself. A boy who looks like a girl, but is perfectly happy with being a boy. Long confusing story, let's not get into it. I do appreciate your compliment though. It makes me quite happy. I don't get all dolled up just for myself." He laughed dryly at his own sarcastic comment, his gaze going up to the clouds. "Did you know that clouds aren't just full of water, but dirt as well? Caleb was a fountain of useless knowledge, but he prided himself on his random facts.

Konani felt like he could burst into song after hearing they could be friends. He could help but giggle and grab hold of Calwb's paws. He began to dance around as he heard the music in his head. "Oh you've made me quite happy with those words! You're my first friend!" Speaking with glee as he giggled like mad as he let go of the other male's paws. He danced happily until his crown came off from the jumping around.
"Well you still look really pretty, Caleb." Konani said calmly as he dusted his crown off and put it on the other fox. "It looks good on you and makes your eyes stand out even more!" Commenting as he smiled happily and his tail began to wag in a quick pace. He blinked when the other talked about looking like a girl, but liking the fact that he was a boy. His ears perked up when the other said there was dirt in clouds too. "I never knew that! I always thought it was just water and air." He said as he looked up at the sky in awe.

Caleb couldn't help but smile as the other grabbed hold of his paws, taking him for a spin in his excitement. He felt really happy, being around this other noodle. It was a delightful change from being with his damper roommates.
"I'm glad I have that privilege of being your firsts friend," Caleb giggled, his smile still pastured to his face. It would seem that his smile would never fade when Konani was around, as Caleb burst into a fit of giggles as he watched the other male express all his vivid energy.
His smile instantly dropped with a look of surprise at the compliments the other was giving. He couldn't help but chew at his lip, blushing heavily from the gentle words. He felt the crown against his head, looking up to try to see it unsuccessfully. "Hm, you think?" Maybe he'd have to get a crown one day. Oh that would just completely be the icing on the cake.
He lay down, looking up at the clouds, sighing happily. He really did enjoy Konani. There was just something so unique and utterly addicting about the other's personality. He was like no other Caleb had met. "I learned it in a fact book actually, I like reading random fact books." He blushed again at his own quirky comment. "Do you ever read? He couldn't possibly imaging this ball of energy to ever read, but hey, Caleb knew for a fact to never judge a book by its cover.

Konani smiled as his tail flickered back and forth. He sat down by the laying Caleb as he looked up at the sky. "Of course! If I had a mirror then you could see too!" He said sweetly as he looked back to the other male with a smile, showing off his teeth. He blinked at the question about reading. "Well I do sometimes, but it's usually when I'm alone. Sometimes at night too." He said calmly as he laid down beside the other male fox. "Random facts are always good to know cause then someone else can learn them!" Adding as he thought about it. "Like how kitties can land on their feet and they can see in the dark. I can only see in the dark cause mine glow like a firefly!" He said as he pawed at Caleb's scarf.

Caleb scooted closer to the other as he felt him paw at his scarf. "It's really soft huh?" he said as he moved to wrap the scarf around the other. The cream fabric stuck out against Konani's dark fur, but it was fun to do at least. "Cream is not your color..." Caleb teased wrapping the scarf around Konani's head playfully.
"I love reading at night actually, helps me just, settle in for the night." He lay back down, sighing in content as he looked up at the ever changing clouds.
"I'm so blind in the dark without light." He tilted his head up, getting a good look at the other's eyes. "You've got pretty eyes too." He smiled warmly, before going to rest his head back on the soft Earth.
"That cloud looks kinda like two foxes together," he stated, pointing his nose up at the white, fluffy clouds.

konani gave a light purr at how soft the scarf was against his fur. "It's crazy how soft it is! Cream is too my color!" He pouted as Caleb wrapped the scarf around his head. Then he giggled like mad as he nuzled his nose against the dolled up fox's cheek. "Isn't reading fun? you can be like the main character and stuff." He said as he looked back to the sky. His tail wagged as he looked in awe at the changing clouds. "Thanks, Caleb! I don't get many compliments." He said as he his cheeks gave off a light blush. He nodded in agreement as he smiled lightly, "They sure do! Ooooo look at that one! It's a bunny!" he pointed to a far away cloud.

Caleb giggled at the protest, saving that image of the other pouting in his mind for as long as he could hold onto it. He blinked in surprise at the nuzzle, a deep blush dusting his painted cheeks, making them even redder than before.
"Mm, yeah. I do like that about reading." He proved his theory absolutely correct about not judging a book by its cover. Konani did seem to genuinely enjoy books. Caleb smirked, a small glint in his eye.
"Oh? That's surprising. I figure someone as adorable as you should get more compliments, but then again, maybe people are too intimidated to say anything?" The cream fox watched the light blush creep into the whites of Konani's cheeks, he smiled knowingly, feeling a small sense of accomplishment.
He looked up into the sky, searching for the cloud until he found the bunny-like cloud. "Yeah. It's funny how we can see images in the clouds. Ancient civilizations used to think the clouds were a whole other world until the Greeks deemed it Zeus' territory. Because the clouds were always moving and showing images of things that could be alive."

"Well some fox don't like how I am around them. Hey, how come your cheeks are red? Are you sick?" Asking as he noticed that Caleb's light colored cheeks become quite red after his cheek nuzzle. His ears drooped as he rested his paw on the other male's forehead. "You don't feel warm, but you alright?" Speaking in a way that sounded worried to the other. His tail lay on the ground as he waited for an answer. "Isn't Zeus father to the greek gods?" Konani asked as he tried to remember his studies as a kit.
