Summer was slowly saying her good byes as Fall was on her way to painting the world in a colorful portrait of leaves and discarded flowers. It was a wonderful thing to smell the drying leaves as you playfully run through them making the deep "crunching" sound. Its even more of an amusement to roll in them when they're still quite fresh. So was Honaw's logic even if other's thought him to be ironic in his own grumpiness. But sadly Summer was still hanging around and there were other things to partake in.
"Whatcha doing" came the curious voice of the confident songstress known as Melody. Her hair always looked quite lovely as the shine in her eye never seemed to dim.
The grumpy bear looked out from under his hat and chuffed, "I s'posen ye want to be comin' along lass?".
Melody dipped her head with a smile, "But of course silly. I told you I like going on Pirate quests with you. Besides.... it might give me a new idea for a song."
Honaw chuffed with a roll of his eyes, "Aye I knew ye would lass. Will you be bringing that landlubber that stole yer heart this time?"
Melody laughed with a toss of her head, "Of course. I would never leave Cotton because he likes being by my side. It makes me feel like a princess with how he pays attention to me" she smiled with a wink, "Why would I not?"
