User ImageCastiel Ansoomse:
Cas was... starting off into space. He seemed to do that a lot, actually, just sit down or lie on a rock and just let his mind wander off. It was how he was. His mind was always going off to "other places" so to speak, wondering about one thing of another. They generally had to do with the visions he got, things he had yet to tell anyone in his family. He thought about talking to Mama about it, or maybe Dene. He loved his father and Sae and Samm, but he just wasn't as close to them. Dene was closer to Samm because they were twins, and Cas had a sort of protective connection to their sister, but of all his siblings, he had to think Dene would be the one he would go to if he needed to talk.
And, he could admit it. He was a bit of a mama's boy.

It was getting to be late afternoon, Mama and Papa would probably want them to come in soon, but Cas wasn't far away from the den. He was probably even in sight, curled up slightly on the dark gray rock and probably sticking out like a sore claw. Sometimes his ears would flick as his blue eyes seemed to watch the world before him, though they bore the unfocused, almost glazed look of one who isn't really paying any attention to whatever he or she is looking at.

Dene Ansoomse:
He had caught a butterfly, holding it firmly in his jaws. Pride emitted from the male cubs body yet he still didnt think he liked the flavor of bug too much. He hoped momma would teach them to hunt soon.
He was tired of practicing on bugs. He always caught them, and their guts were far from appetizing. Once he felt proud enough, he spat the bug out and stuck out his tongue in a grossed out way. He spat at the earth, and then twitched his attention elsewhere. Almost as if he had never had the bug in the first place. He was a proud male, he usually walked rather tall, and he was the more .. go get em of the litter. Samm was more logical, their sister more deviant, and Cas.. well Cas was Cas. He was always quiet and it was hard to even know if he had anything going on up there half the time.

He saw his brother though, and made his way forward. Keeping to the shade, as the sun would heat his pelt to extreme temperatures. His shoulder marking only shared with his brother, was still even blacker than the fur it covered.
He had wondered where it was from.. Mother said it was likely a sign of safety. The gods looking down on them happily.User Image

He was less likely to believe that.

He walked over to Castiel, and plopped down next to him, clearing his throat and looking at him from the corner of his eye.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas blinked out of his daze when someone approached and sat next to him. It was only when a throat was cleared that his eyes flicked to one side. White paws, he knew exactly who they belonged to.

"Hello, Dene," he said, a slightly cheerful tone in his voice though he didn't move a muscle but those to speak. There was a soft-spoken innocence to his speech, That of a cub who had yet to know any harshness in the world. Sure, he had the occasional bad dreams, mostly about his family, but he figured that was common. He was so attached to them, he wouldn't know what to do if he lost any of them. Naturally he would have bad dreams about things he was afraid of.

"Mama didn't send you to get me, did she?"

Dene Ansoomse:
Castiel was always daydreaming. Something Dene didnt understand too much. He preferred action, adventure, staring at things and thinking just wasnt something he had ever been too good at. He turned his head, hazel eyes glittering as he sniffed at Dene with a very pink nose.

"What in the world are you doing Cas? Theres nothing out there to look at." He said, turning and looking back towards the mountains.

"She should have. She should make a man out of you. But no. She didnt, youre safe." He teased.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas blinked and his head tilted a bit.
"I was looking at the world. That's something, isn't it?" he asked, trying to put to words what he had been doing. Sometimes he had so many questions that he thought maybe if he just sat still for a moment and just looked and listened he could figure it all out. And then sometimes he decided that things just were because they were and that he should just go with everything without question. Torn in such a way, he didn't know what to think half the time.

"What d'you mean? Why would Mama do that?" He had no idea what Dene was talking about.

Dene Ansoomse:
"Well why not? You stare too much. You and Samm are both thinkers. Its.. weird." He said, crinkling his nose and snorting, though he wasnt really making fun of his brother. Some things they did were just odd and he wasnt fond of odd. Sometimes.

"Dont take it personally. Momma probably likes you the way you are. Shes weird like that."
He said, chuckling and nudging his oh so still brother with a paw, hoping to see him at least teeter a bit.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Being stretched out on the ground, Cas didn't move much when he was nudged. A bit, but not much. In retaliation, he rolled over onto his side and pawed at his little brother's feet.
"It's not weird to us," he replied, his tail waving back and forth a little playfully.

"And mama's not weird, either. Thinking's good for you." Sure, he probably thought a little too much, and was quieter than his siblings. He was also probably the most innocent of them, even though he was the eldest. He always seemed clueless to half of what his brothers and sister were talking about until someone explained whatever it was to him.

Dene Ansoomse:
He didnt get the joy of seeing Cas roll a bit with his nudge, and he snorted but smiled. His brother was used to his games, and wasnt as easy to trick as he used to be. Though pranks were still pretty easy to play on poor Cas.

"Well its weird to me," Dene responded, putting emphasis on the word Me. Then he chuckled and nodded.
"Yeah momma's lucky shes momma. She couldnt be weird. That would make me weird, and that jsut doesnt happen."

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas pawed at his brother before flopping his paws onto Dene's, his tail flicking back and forth.
"So I'm weird and Samm is weird, but you're not." He sighed and shook his head at his younger brother. Dene wasn't the baby of the family, that was Sammy. But Dene always had these strange ideas that confused him.

"What about Ani and Sae? Are they weird, too?" He didn't think his other siblings were weird. But then, maybe Dene did. He wasn't sure what was going through Ani or Sae's heads half the time, not really. But he was devoted nonetheless. They were his siblings, his little siblings and he was their big brother.

Dene Ansoomse:
Truth was, Dene was close to all of his family.. But Samm and Cas were really all he relied on. He was a rather independent guy, enjoying his free time and adventures on his own. However with Samm tagging along, it wasnt often he was on his own. He didnt mind though.

"You and Samm are too mushy is your problem." He said with a grin. "You have to be tough, and rugged. Its an appealing personality trait." He teased, and flicked his tail playfully.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas smiled back.
"I bet I can be tough, if I had to be. But you're probably tough enough for the both of us. Probably for all of us," he replied, sitting up and giving his brother something of a rough, playful hug. Unlike Dene, he liked being with his brothers and sister. He liked playing with them, talking with them, laughing at jokes, even if some of them went over his head. Okay, most of them went over his head, he couldn't deny the fact that there were just a number of things that he just didn't understand why they were supposed to be funny.

"I bet, when we grow up, we'll be some of the best hunters and protectors in the whole pride, don't you?"

Dene Ansoomse:
That was one thing that Dene could agree on. He knew that they would go far. They had to, he felt it in his heart that he would be something some day, and he knew the same would happen to his siblings. At least he hoped for such a thing. With a sigh, he patted his brothers back when he gave him the rough hug.

He knew most jokes, and most stories confused Cas. Castiel was the type that lived on sheer logic. If it didnt make sense, why was it there? Dene thought he thought way too much, but then again..maybe Dene just didnt think enough of the important things.

"Oh yeah. I think thats definitely possible. We're already pretty awesome." He joked.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas nodded.
"I guess we are, but we're still too little. We just have to work at it," he added and blinked. He tilted his head slightly as if he was thinking.

"I think Mama's going to come get us soon," he finally said. And he was certain. He'd had a number of his little visions to know that they weren't just things he happened to see or skips in his mind. It was the future, not too far off from the present, but the future nonetheless. He had no idea that some of his dreams weren't just dreams, but at least he knew that what he Saw when he was awake was something special. He just hadn't... really told anyone just yet.

Of all his siblings, Dene would probably be the one he'd tell. Just not yet. He didn't seem to like spooky things, and this was at least a little spooky.

Dene Ansoomse:
Dene smiled, nodding and agreeing with his little brother. They alot of learning to do, he wanted to learn all the ins and outs of hunting.. He felt that drive to just go and stalk and catch. It was beginning to be a burning passion almost.

Dene had always wondered how Castiel knew the things he knew. He just always had these feelings and then they happened soon after. It was eerie, but intriguing, and for now he just assumed it was good luck.
"It is getting late. We should probably go back."

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas stood and pawed lightly at Dene's ear before he turned back towards home. He didn't start walking, however, because he wanted Dene to go first. He always felt responsible for his other siblings, even Dene despite the fact that he was the tough one.

"Come on, Dene, we don't want Mama to worry, right?" he asked, tilting his head as he smiled at his brother. It wouldn't take too long for their mother to come near. It would be nice to look ready to go with her, wouldn't it?

Dene Ansoomse:
"No, no of course not." He shook his head, smiling a little. Even though his family was weird, he was happy to have them. Especially Castiel.. Even if he did tease the hell out of him.

Taking the lead, Dene began back towards home, ready to relax and take a little nap.

User ImageRashida:
Rashida had been wondering about her boys. They had taken off for the day and still were gone as the sun was beginning to turn the clouds pink. She was about to grow a bit worried but her sky blue eyes landed on the figures of two cubs. Both running towards her, and she sighed a breath of relief.

"There you are." She said, her voice gentle and kind as it always was.
"I was beginning to miss you." She smiled.

Castiel Ansoomse:
"I'm sorry, Mama," Cas said when she smiled, running up to her legs and rubbing against them. Just a bit worried that they had worried her, he wanted to give her comfort that they were alright.

"I was off thinking and Dene came looking for me," he added, making sure that she understood that if they were perceived as naughty, he would take the brunt of it. It would have been his fault, anyways.

Dene Ansoomse:
Dene snorted, watching his brother suck up and he just nuzzled against momma's leg before darting into the den so that he could find a nice shady place to lay his head.

Rashida:
Rashida grinned, snuggling her Castiel close to her. She loved her children, them and Azrael were her life. She never was angry at any of them. She couldnt be. Eventually theyd be grown, and she wanted to remember these times as good.

"You shouldnt think so hard, dear. Youre much too young to worry." She said gently.

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas smiled up at his mama before glancing over to watch his brother run into the den. He shok his head once, then his mama drew his attention back with her comment about thinking and worrying.
"I don't worry much, Mama. I just wanna help you and Papa," he said, snuggling back against her fur.

"There's just a lot of us and just you and Papa. I just wanna help sometimes. And I don't wanna cause trouble, though sometimes I forget."

Rashida:
Castiel was always very special to her, and he filled her heart with his love sometimes. She smiled and leaned down to nuzzle his cheek.
"Momma and Papa have it under control my love. But thank you for looking out for us. We could always use a pair of pretty blue eyes to help." She said with a chuckle, nudging Cas in the direction of the den.
"Come along my darling. Your siblings are already starting to curl up for the night."

Castiel Ansoomse:
Cas smiled again, hugged her leg once more and ran into the den, picking a nice spot near his brothers and sister, between them and the den's entrance. He curled up beside Ani, but his tail flicked on top of Dene's. It was his favorite time of the day, even if it didn't last long, when all of his family was together.

"Good night," he whispered to his family and closed his eyes.
