 It was pouring down tonight, making it impossible to see more than a few feet out in front of one's self. If it weren't for this lone tree in the middle of the grassy plain Adakias was sleeping in he would be out in the cold, stumbling around blindly for shelter. He wasn't alone, though. There were a few smaller critters, birds on the branches, a furry ball of fluff hiding in the grass here and there. Rains like this rarely happened and to witness it the gem studded stallion felt a spark of inspiration. "Somebody must have tore a pretty big whole in the clouds. Either that or they're-" a crack of lightening startled him, causing him to stumble back until his rump hit against the trunk of the refuge tree. Then the rolling thunder, making him sink down in a cowering manner. This wasn't fun anymore. He wanted his mother, his father, his sister, Louvia. Heck, he would take anybody so long as he wasn't alone in this madness.

 Teeth grinding against teeth.
Gousei walked calmly through the tempest that stirred the plain she was traveling through. The only reason for her discomfort was the mandatory shower that made her bangs stick disgustingly to her forehead and her tail fan out in a sheet around her rump. Her wrapped braid was loosely thrown around her neck, and she felt an uncomfortable choking sensation. Better that than her long mane dragging in the nearly-knee-deep mud puddles scattered throughout the grassland.
Her glowing eyes were the only sight against the thick blanket of darkness cast by the tremendous, and seemingly never ending stretch of clouds in the sky. She was very grateful for her excellent night vision, because it was only this that granted her the ability to catch the single tree due left of her in the distance. It was a rare sight on any day; the trunk voluminous and unique against the sparse, short grass. It's branches were thick and crowded with growth.... Shelter.
Her slender, light glow drifted across the plain to this oasis like a lightning bug in limbo... Little did she know what she would find.
