Once upon a time, in the land of Serentia, there was prosperity and peace for all of the creatures of the land. Everyone seemed to get along and the kingdom was ruled by a loving royal family. The royal family were magical beings and they did everything they could to provide for their subjects. Unfortunately, all of the peace a goodness did not last.
A great darkness came into the land and they worked on trying to spread the darkness all over the beautiful kingdom. The king sent his troops to deal with the darkness, but sadly, to no avail. To add to the turmoil in the kingdom, the eldest daughter of the king and queen has been abducted while she was resting in the garden. What will happen, stay tuned and see for yourself.

She is very fair and always tries to do the best she can at helping the people of the kingdom. She is very sweet, sometimes seen giving sandwiches to the poor or money to those who need it. She is quite smart, having learned everything she could from the teachers she was given. She is also quite talented in her magic, a lot of it being natural talent. She is kind of quiet sometimes, since she likes to get to know people before really opening up to them. She is also a romantic, believing there is at least one person out there for everyone. Bio: Melinda is the eldest child of the king and queen of Serentia, so she is seen as the heir to the throne. From a young age, she was groomed to be the perfect queen, one that the kingdom would love and wish to follow. She was also helped in perfecting her natural gifts, so she would always have her powers to fall back on. Everything seemed so peaceful, until the one night she was sitting in the rose garden and she was taken.

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda moaned as she regained consciousness and her eyes fluttered open once more. She noticed she was laying down and that the room around her was pitch black. She didn't like the looks of this at all, especially when she remembered being in the rose garden and then her world had faded to black. She couldn't seem to move and that just seemed to make her feel even more worried.
"Hello?"she called out.

Marguerite Mellows entered the room with a tray of food, a frown evident on her face at having to act as nursemaid.
"Hello Melinda. I imagine you have some questions."
The lack of title was obvious and intentional. Her lip curled, and she set the tray down as though the princess disgusted her.
Marguerite had joined the dark side.

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda heard someone walk into the room and heard the voice greet her. She wondered what was going on and she did indeed have a lot of questions to ask.
"Yes and why did you not address me by my title of princess? Don't you know how rude that is. Also why am I here and who are you?"she asked, trying to hide the fear she was feeling.

Marguerite smirked at the girl, waving a hand imperiously towards the food.
"You are princess of nothing, Melinda. Why would I give you an honor that you do not deserve? You're lucky we're even feeding you, you useless thing."
She glared at Melinda, obviously not fond of the girl.
"You are our...guest. To ensure that your parents don't cause any problems."

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda looked to the side and saw the tray of food, glad they were at least going to give her something to eat.
"I deserve the title of princess, thank you, I earned that title a long time ago. As for being your guest, you seem to have a funny way of treating guests. I also doubt you are just going to make me sit here, there must be more to this,"she spoke.

Marguerite shook her head. "Princess? Hardly. Princess of what land? Your kingdom will be nothing but ashes soon, a bitter taste in the mouth of true greatness. Your pathetic little land will be salted, crops and forests burned to the ground for his amusement. You, like all your people, are nothing."
She turned a critical eye on the princess, an unpleasant woman who found fault with everything. "You mind your own, Melinda. We'll do whatever we wish with you."

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda glared at the woman and she spit in the woman's face, clearly annoyed.
"My kingdom will be strong enough to keep whoever you work for from bringing it down. I mean, you may think your boss is going to bring it down, but you are safely mistaken. My family is not push-overs, they know how to deal with slime like you. As for doing anything you wish with me, you are sadly mistaken,"she hissed.

The woman raised an eyebrow, looking down at the princess with disgust. Her arm raised, curling into a fist. She hit Melinda quickly, without all of her strength behind it.

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda winced in pain, feeling a bit of pain where she had just been hit. As she heard they had plans for her, she couldn't help but wonder what those plans could be.
"What exactly are your plans for me, if I might ask? I mean, you did say you want me to remain pretty, so obviously you do not plan to disfigure me or anything,"she hspoke.

"Of course, you stupid girl...We couldn't very well disfigure our new brood mare, now could we?" She let that sink in, a malicious grin fixed to her face.
"Oh, indeed...we could hardly sell you to the highest bidder without that pretty face of yours. Of course, if some damage were to be done...we could still sell you. We'd just take a bit of a loss, and you wouldn't be treated near as well by your owner."
A mocking smile formed, the unpleasant woman taking far too much joy out of Melinda's bleak future. "Your parents are already in negotiations to get you back, the fools. You're not worth a kingdom...even one as useless as that!"

Melinda Puriton- The gentle Princess Melinda's eyes widened as she heard what the woman said and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She couldn't believe they had plans to treat her like some animal, something she certainly was not.
"You creeps, it isn't nice to treat someone like they are an animal. I am not some doll you can make pretty, then give to someone,"she growled.
