The Dark Knights were on horseback, riding through the night, to bring the news of the fallen King Leolus to their lord. Racing against time, they hurried for the white stallions that the Great White Knights rode were the fastest horses in the country. If they pushed their own horses to their limits, they had a wide chance of escaping before the White Knights found out. It would only take them three nightfalls to return to Manorsgate...to Lord Loss. All of the Great White Knights arrived back at the castle, Viridivair, after watching the funeral proceedings of their great King. After all the turmoil subsided, the Great White Knights came together for a meeting to discuss the next heir to the throne, for King Leolus had no known child nor will. The discussion was carried on in soft tones, dragging on hour after hour. It would only end when all the Knights came to a consensus. One of the Knights spoke out, " I say, we get our revenge. We take down those vile Dark Knights. Let's say whomever takes the most Dark Knight's lives, gets throne and the title King of Viridivair." There was some chitter-chatter between the Knights, but the outcome was obvious. It was now to a vote. " Who says we take the revenge for King Leolus, and for whomever is most victorious takes the place in his honor?" There was a muted silence, as all cast their vote.....

"Aye!" It was Roderick Cooper, who had the say in the vote. " Why, brothers, if we wish to deny this, we would be denying our knighthood and our kingdom's future. Brothers, let us slay them all!" He pulled his blade from his sheath behind him. He held it in one hand and raised it into the air, as they always did when they always held meetings. He knew King Leolus well. King Leolus was one of his father's best friends, and because of that, even Roderick and the king had that same bound. He had to stand up and honor his king. He had to prove himself a knight. He had to do it if for Viridivair. It was all on the Great White Knights now.

...... Don't get lost in heaven They got locks on the gate
"Ease dropping!" Lucy huffed as she crouched outside the castle walls, trying to here all she could of the White Knights plans. The thorny rosebush made it's presence known as another scratch appeared on her arm. "One of the greatest swordsman those ungrateful sods have. What do they do with all that talent? Have me hide in sodding rosebush, and listen to a bunch white ponies strut around in their shiny armour!"
She felt her small ward stir in her lap. The ferret she had unceremoniously named Sir Prance'A'Lot stared at her with unwavering beady eyes. "No, I am not jealous. Stop that." She peeked through the windows again. The men who were hailed as miracles, bringing only good fortune in their wake. As opposed to her, a harbinger of death and destruction. "Maybe a little." She admitted. It was nothing short of a miracle that her noisy musings hadn't given her away yet.

Roderick slowly lowered his weapon and put it away. He could see some blue haired fiend out in a bush just outside the window of the meeting hall. He couldn't wait to hear everyone chip in with their votes. There was a spy afoot. He sneakily found his way out of the meeting to the door. He paused for a second. He knew the second he would open the door the spy would run off. He had to do this another way. There wasn't much time. He plowed open the door anyway. He jumped out staring straight at the cascade haired woman nestled behind the bush with her rodent. " Halt!" he blared. He then redrew his sword. " Are you spying on a meeting of us, The Great White Knights? Don't you know you will be jailed immediately for this? Are you working with that scum, The Dark Knights?" He was ready to attack at any movement this woman made of escaping.

Қατңεяιиε xxxxx Katherine conversed with the other knights. "Why of course I'd love to kill off as many Dark Knights as possible, but I do not wish to be Queen." The others looked at her. She was more of a low profile girl, coming out of her shell only when needed. Katherine was one of the only women part of the Great White Knights, but she felt like one of the men. "Who cares! Let's kill them all!" She stood up from her chair. Her armor quietly chiming as she did so. "Our King's memory shall live on!" The men were shouting with joy and still talking among themselves.
She walked from the room, and found herself outside witnessing Sir Roderick exclaiming at Dark Knight Spy. Katherine drew her sword and glared at the woman. Katherine waited for her response to Sir Roderick's questions. Would she run? Would she defend herself? Either way, Katherine was there to help her fellow knight if he needed it.

Knowing she had no markings to indicate her affiliation with the Dark Knights, she decided to use this to her advantage. "No, good sir!" She squeaked, throwing herself into a bow at his feet. Her forehead was almost touching the ground. "Please, don't have me jailed! I only wanted to see the legendary White Knights. All my life I've grown up hearing stories about your honorable deeds." Tears welled up around her eyes. Her first solo mission, and already she had failed.
"I just thought, maybe I could help you on your quest. I would never willingly serve the Dark Knights!" She bit out the last part with such fury it couldn't be faked. It was true, she wouldn't willingly help them. It wasn't just her life that was at stake though. Remembering that, she looked up, meeting the knights eyes with fierce determination.

Roderick sighed. He couldn't jail an innocent civilian, especially during the meeting. He had already made such a scene. He had already had Katherine behind him. He also saw no marking or indication that she was affiliated with The Dark Knights. " Alright. Get up. Enough of your crying. Get out of here, before I have to jail you." He withdrew his blade again. He couldn't rightly slash her. He turned to his associate to make sure he did the right thing. Her indication would be helpful. He started back to the door, but only to say his farewell, they had to leave and they had to do it fast. The Dark Knights were long gone and someone had to get out and chase them down. He had to be the first. He walked inside the meeting hall. " Farewell, brothers. I will surely meet you all on the battlefields." He turned back out of the building and down to Katherine. " It would be nice to have a partner. Shall we ride together?"

Қατңεяιиε xxxxx Katherine watched as the woman bowed before Roderick. It was definitely a sight. Sir Roderick was a man who would be fit to be King. She was sure he knew that. She put her sword in the holster at her side, and her eyes followed Roderick as he went into the meeting hall. Her blonde hair swayed in the light breeze.
Once Sir Roderick reappeared outside and asked if they should ride together. "I suppose we should." She turned, and walked toward the horse barn. She stopped for a moment, and turned to face him. He was taller than her, and although there was a short distance between the two, she still had to slightly look up at him. "Should we bring anything with us? I assume the Dark Knights are rather far away. We might have to camp.. unless you have a better idea."

Katherine was right. They wouldn't catch up to them in a days time. Luckily for Roderick, he never unpacked his things from his last quest in retrieving the Gloryheart. His things were still strapped to his stead. " Good idea, Katherine. I still have all my things on my horse. If you have to gather supplies, we shall do that first." He saddled onto his horse. " If you need supplies, the best bet is the towns market," His walked his horse right up next to hers prepared to leave. OoC: Wow... sorry guys...

xxxxx Katherine had kept herself prepared for a day like this. She had everything she needed in a side bag on her . "I have everything I need in my saddle bags." She led her steed out of the horse barn. Katherine placed a foot on the bronze stirrup and gathered the reins and the tuft of the main in her left hand. She pushed herself up onto the horse with her right leg. Once she mounted the horse, she sat with grace.
"I do believe we should be leaving now, Sir Roderick," she said as she placed her right foot in the stirrup on the off side of her horse. "It'd be best if we left before the others realize we're gone." She checked her armor to see if there was anything missing before they left.

" I do believe that you are right, Katherine." Roderick let out a " YAH!" Off went his horse with him riding on top of it. The horse shoes could be heard clapping on the cobblestone adorned streets out until the gateway entrance. Now it was a matter of direction. Where do these lizards live? He thought for a second, but there on the ground, a trail. They were heading west to the Hilian Sea. " Katherine, it seems as though they traveled this way. To the Hilian Sea!" He clicked his heels into his horse and it pranced away. Nobody really knows the whereabouts of The Dark Knights. All that was know is they lived in a heavily fortified fortress with an army of creatures that obey there every command. They had to be prepared to fight all and everything and quickly catch up to the fleeing Dark Knights.

xxxxx Katherine followed Roderick. She was his partner anyway. She gazed at the trail the Dark Knights had left for a while, then stared ahead. As her horse was galloping, she though of being in battle with the Dark Knights.
She had been in one before, but the men of the Great Whites did most of the work. Although she was considered to be manly, per se, by the others she still felt very discriminated by the others because she was female. She silently decided that she was going to show them, whether they literally saw her or not, that she could be one of them without any help.

Roderick followed the road westward. He was nearly prepared for anything that would come his way. He was prepared for battle. He was prepared for the strife. He wanted to avenge his fallen king and restore the honor of his kingdom, Viridivair. He did feel partly responsible for the assassination of his king. Why did we need everbody for that Gloryheart quest. We should have left some troops behind to protect our king. Leolus, I will have my revenge for you on those cursed Dark Knights. There was little to no daylight anymore. The sky was twisted up with color like a painter's pallete. The sun was setting over the horizon. They had to use every moment they had to make up for the lost time. I do hope the other's are coming too.
