Lina and Galith had returned from their star gazing just before everyone awoke - unless someone knew they snuck out early every morning, it wouldn't be superbly noticeable, unless you thought they looked rather too-awake for this early in the morning. Lina was already properly dressed, weyrling knots sitting rather proudly on her shoulder. She was still getting used to them, but she had to admit she was happy to be wearing them.

Galith was waiting as quietly and patiently as always for her breakfast. The good news about getting up super early was that Galith was finally actually hungry by the time her clutchmates were waking up. The weyrling seemed rather engineered to rise later than the draconic norm, and as such she normally hated eating first thing in the morning. Thankfully, the schedule swing was working out for both members of the pair, though if and when they were able to do as they chose, they would certainly both prefer to be up most of the night.

Lina led Galith out of their barracks proper to where they fed their dragons. They were having to learn how to chop the meat themselves - it would take rather an army to chop enough food for the dragons. Luckily, they wouldn't be expected to take on that duty for another few days. Today, it was nice enough to come out to mountains of meat already chopped, and Lina was glad. She wasn't exactly squeamish, exactly, as much as she was rather new to physical labor. Still, anything for her Galith! She popped the first few pieces into an eager mouth, then glanced about, wondering who else was an early riser.

Cetalese saw Melina turn around as they approached and lifted her hand in a friendly wave. The girl had Impressed a Green after Ceta and Halith had already gone to the feeding tables.

Slowly, Cetalese suggested, and was gratified to see Halith slow to a manageable trot before she headbutted Galith's side in playful greeting.

"Good morning." She smiled at Melina again as she sat by another one of the piled-high bowls of meat. It took only seconds for Halith to take a few short running steps and bury her face into the pile of food. Cetalese was abruptly unaware of Melina and completely focused on her hatchling.

"Not so much!" She grabbed her dragon by the shoulders and pulled her back to see her cheerfully chewing away at a mouthful of meat that was clearly too much for her. She sighed softly. I'll feed you. Finish that monstrous mouthful first, and then I will hand-feed you the rest.

Halith paused in her chewing to wilt slightly, but then resumed, still with that pitiful look, though her eyes were green and cheerful.

I'm sorry, Cetalesemine. I'll be good.

Cetalese gave her dragonet a serious look and Halith, somewhere behind all the meat... well, burbled happily at her.

Galith looked affronted and drew back from Halith - she hadn't been expecting her clutchmate at all! She rumbled slightly at her fellow green, then side stepped to Lina's other side to hopefully get back to the matter of breakfast. She peeked around Lina to see Halith then bury her face in a bowl of food, eating in a most unrefined manner. She huffed slightly, then continued taking her pieces one at a time from Lina, eating rather neatly.

Good morning Lina offered before turning around to see who it had been. Oh, Cetalese, with her green. A smile found its way to her face as it was someone she knew. Looks like you have your hands full she offered as the energetic green stuck her head in the bowl and seemed to almost inhale her food.

"Yes," Cetalese agreed, but she said it with a smile. "We're working on our manners, aren't we, Halith?"

Halith withdrew her face from the food, as promised, and chortled at her rider again, making that odd burbling sound. Ceta blinked calmly and sighed as she reached out to tap Halith on her bloody muzzle. This was obviously going to be a constant battle until the dragonet was old enough to feed herself.

Chew. Don't laugh.

Halith did so, turning her eyes back to Galith. Mine, I don't think she's happy to see me.

You probably scared her, running around the way you do. I'm sure she's very happy to see you. Now, let's play a game, she said, her last words coming out in a rush as she saw Halith beginning to turn back to the bowl.

Oh! All right. What game, Cetalesemine?

Let's see how many single pieces of meat I can feed you before you're full. Then we can count how much food it really takes to fill your endless stomach!

If it was endless, we could never count high enough. Halith's eyes whirled faster at the prospect of a game, though, and she sat very still as Cetalese picked up the first piece of meat and offered it for Halith to pluck from her fingers.

"This is Halith," she introduced to Melina, noticing that Melina's Green was a much neater eater than Halith. She would have to wash Halith down after this.
