Today around 4pm while my mom was mom was away helping my sister move into her apartment my blind father came into my room to tell me my older brother was hit by a car while riding his bike without a helmet.
In doing my civic duty, let me just say, ALWAYS wear a helmet...
But back to my story, he was fine, thank god, but only because he was lucky, and he was still cut up real bad and in need of stitches on his face and arm. I was at the hospital with my father (later joined by my mother and friend who moved in with us after his mom passed) until after one in the morning, thus this very late post. I had barely gotten to eat and was still fighting off a cold while having to make phone call after phone call, going in and out of the building from the poor signal, to notify seven people and take their multiple calls throughout the day since my brother couldn't himself.
My brother doesn't have insurance so we can only hope that the culprit will come to terms and relieve him the burden of his hospital bills and prescriptions.
Long story short, I'm tired and it's been a long day. My brother's home with us now and we'll be taking care of him, but all my rising to the occasion has me drained and seeking compassion. -.-

Oh my goodness, that's terrible! Good luck, I hope the culprit cooperates with you and your family. Best wishes.

I was hit by a car before, well, my foot was run-over. I described the car as best as I could. If he remembers the license plate (Which I doubt) or at least the model of car, it'd be easier to help. In regards, I wish the best to him, you, and your family. The guy who hit me helped me get back to school at the time. I actually was alright so nobody believed me until my gym teacher caught me limping, asked and I told him. Then I showed him my foot. Funny story for me, but I wish him the best in the recovery. It took me about 2 weeks to be able to walk without pain, and a month to be able to not feel the pain after pressure was added. I hope he's okay.

I hope he's okay. The doctor's say he'll be sore for a while, most likely a week, but it'll take a lot longer for the cuts to heal completely. He's doing better now and he's on some medicine, but it's sure been a scare for us. Though he was too banged up to get the information himself, there were witnesses and the car stuck around till the ambulance came so now it's just a matter of tracking the information down. Hopefully there won't be any complications.

Hopefully there won't be any complications. That's good then, at least it wasn't a hit 'n run jerk. =) I'm glad he'll be fine. BTW there may be some phycological effects. For myself... I can't look at a moving car head on, I can't get 5 feet near a moving car easily, I sort of have a phobia of it now. Just saying, those are some repercussions.

Hit and run? D:
Those people should burn in a fire while someone video tapes it.
I hope your brother feels better even sooner than the doctors predict! :3
