It had taken a few years to perfect lucid dreaming, but Xiu had eventually managed it. She always found that it was a great way to escape or mull over things if she wanted to be alone, especially since what happened in here was mostly controlled by her. Even if she couldn't manipulate what happened in the dreams of others, at least she could do so in her own.
Her current surroundings were a reflection of her garden at home. Considering how much time she had spent out here throughout her childhood, almost everything was exact, right down to the wear on the bridge that loomed over the fish ponds. The garden possessed the same three traits of the rest of the house being that it was large, very traditional, and--most importantly--peaceful. It had been Xiu's favourite place to relax when she was a child, and it was still her favourite place even in her dreams.
Moving towards the pond, she removed her shoes and her socks, smiling as the fish scattered when she tentatively dipped a toe into the water. It was cool, but not too cold--perfect for a swim. Of course, the pond was a little small for her in her human form, but in her natural form? It would be perfect.
Without any hesitation, she dropped into her natural form and immediately dived into the pond. Had she been at home, her parents would have never let her do this, but this was her dream. No one could get in and intrude on her peace.

Invasion was something this demon had perfected; it was an art. This dream was like any other to Elsa – bright, warm and welcoming. So.... unaware of her true intentions or that she was even there. Most of the time she ignored the dreamer and just went after the dream, but tonight... tonight things felt different. It was as if the dreamer was all around her... she could feel this influence even in the grass that she stepped across as she moved slowly through the garden of plush flowers.
In dreams, Elsa took on her true form, a black demon with a heart-shaped white face. Her eyes often narrowed to fine slits, the red dot in the middle of her forehead glowing. Upon her head rested a pair of mirrored antlers, they were black in color and twisted and curved wickedly as she stalked along, searching her target.. the source of this dream.
Once she found the source... she would be able to eat. Oh, god. She was starving. Stopping beside a pond the black demon frowned and glanced around, tilting her head slightly before pausing to glare at her reflection in the water below.
Something... something wasn't right. Something didn't feel right. No matter how hard she tried to focus, she couldn't pinpoint the source... what... was going on here?

Something was wrong. Xiu didn't even have to surface from the pond to know that someone--or something--had set foot into her dream. Something that shouldn't have been there. At once, the little Baku was on the alert, her ears pricked as she listened for the sound of the intruder. They were...somewhere nearby. Very close by, in fact. Despite the fact that she was a little terrified to face them, Xiu took comfort in the fact that it was her dream they had entered. At least she could manipulate their surroundings if she needed to protect herself.
Slowly, she surfaced from the water. Her attention had been to take a quick glimpse and then dive back under without them noticing so that she could figure out what to do. However, the moment she poked her head out from the pond, she knew that her plan was already ruined. There, right in front of her, was an eerie creature staring right back. For a moment, Xiu was silent as she met this creature's eyes.
That, however, didn't last long. With a panicked yelp, the Baku immediately turned around and paddled furiously to the other side of the pond. Pulling herself out, she stared across the gap at the demon with wide eyes.
Who was that?! And what were they doing here? The possibility that this was another student had not hit her yet--she was too distracted panicking to focus.
