 Lolani had taken advantage of her mother's distraction with her brother to make her escape and enjoy some playtime. They had just joined a larger group of cheetahs, and it was a lot different living there then it had been when it was just the four cubs and their mom. Lolani needed a break.
She set off along the ground until she came to the watering hole, where a mighty fallen tree stretched almost horizontally across most of the pond. She walked up the length of the trunk carefully, and settled into look around.

Yejian was bored his mom was busy as usual and probably didnt he know he left the den. But then again she did leave and she didnt know; his mother didnt really like him or his brother leaving the den. She would always say the world was dangerous but he laughed at danger. Unlike his brother who was a bit more catious. But that never stopped them from having fun together.
He thought it would be a fun idea to go for a dip, just to have some fun. Something their mom didnt let them do; she never let them do anything fun it was always dangerous. So when she left he would to, but he would always be home before she noticed he was gone. So far he never got caught, and he hoped he never would.
The dark cheetah was currently staring at the watering hole only a few yards away from it waiting for his brother to catch up, "Come on Yitian! I wanna swim!" But Yejian did like waiting so he ran right into the watering hole; drenching himself from head to toe.
Yitian was slower then his brother and Yejian would never let him forget it. Sometime it always seemed like he was better at everything.
He didnt feel like they should be here right now, their mother was hunting and told them to stay in the den, but they werent far; but he hoped that mommy wouldnt find out. Yitian said it would be fun and nothing would happen cuz Shun and Bai would probably cover for them. So against his better judgement Yitian went with his brother.
The light color cheetah ran up to his brother who, was only a few seconds ahead of him just to see him already splashing about in the pond. "You said you'd wait!" He said in a nagging tone as he jumped in joining his brother.
Yejian chuckled, "I did for a second."
"Your a jerk." The light colored cheetah tackled his brother pushing him under water.
His brother resurfaced taking a bog breath of air, "Am not!" He said pushing his brother.
"Are too!" Yitian said pushing back; causing them both to starting splashing and wrestling with each other. Both clearly unaware of another lurking about.

Even above the water on the branch, the splash from the male cubs hit her, and Lolani was less than pleased. She didn't mind water as such, but she didn't know how to swim and she had no real intention of learning. Occasionally, she put her paw in the water on hot days, but that was it.
She looked down, and was a bit surprised to see two male cubs below, wrestling in the water. She didn't recognize them from the colony, and she wasn't aware that there were other cheetahs in the area.
It would be worth finding out though. She first spoke in the language of the colony - the language she used most often. Since arriving in the pride, her family had switched to the host language.
"Pourquoi êtes-vous entendre? Qui êtes-vous?"

“Did you hear that?” Yitian asked his brother and looked around the squeaky voice he heard. It sounded like Shun, but she wouldn’t have left the den. Yitian swam in a circle for a moment looking all around before he slowly looked up to find out where the source of the mysterious voice came from. Whoa, it’s a girl. The lightly colored cheetah began giggling like a hyena. He had never talked to a girl before. Wait did his sister count? He thought for a moment …. Nah that was his sister … This one was someone he didn’t know. Yitian grew this dopey smile on his face.
“Ya.” At first Yejian thought his brother said something but why would he ask if he did. When his brother started giggling like an idiot, he followed his brother’s gaze to the cheetah sitting above. Now he knew why he was giggling. He pushed his brother to help bring him back to reality. “Yitian wake up.” He stared at the cheetah, where did she come from. The dark cheetah cub began to paddle to the shore. “Hey you what did you say?” Yejian asked not wanting to scare her off.
Yitian snapped out of his daze when his brother pushed him and he got a mouth full of water. “Jerk!” He said coughing up the water he accidently swallowed before following his brother to shore.
“Hush." he said shushing his brother and looking back toward the girl, "Did you know you talk funny?” He chuckled.
“I think she called you a porpoise?” He asked unsure of what he heard.
“What’s a porpoise?” He said looking at his brother then looking at the other cheetah.
“I don’t know.” Yitian said mimicking his brother’s action.

Ahh, so they spoke her original language. Lolani switched, after a moment, so she could speak to the newcomers, while she watched them shove each other around in the water. Trying to be her most ladylike, Lolani sat up and curled her puffy tail around her feet, and looked down at the boys.
"I asked you 'ooo you were and why you were here. I haven't seen any cheetahs that don't belong to the colony around here."
Thankfully speaking the colonies language didn't make her accent too rough.

Yitian was still in the background giggling on the inside, she was so pretty. He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. He felt his heart beating fast he didn’t know what to think or say. He didn’t know how to react to her question.
Yejian looked at his brother and shook his head, “I’m Yejian, and this idiot is my brother Yitian” he gave her a smile, “but we not need worry about him” the dark cheetah said giving the female a wink and stepping closer to her. “We wanted to play in the water. Why are you here? Colony?”
Before Yejian could ask any more question Yitian finally was able to speak, “My hi name is Yitian.” He managed to mutter unaware he was obviously babbling. He continued to look at the female with the dopey smile he had.
Yejian slapped his paw to his face when his brother spoke, he couldn’t believe they were related at this point. “I’m sorry he’s a babbling fool ignore him.” He said shooting the female another smile.

"Bonjour, Yitian, Yejian. My name is Lolani, and the colony is where I live. We are a group of cheetahs, yes? Do you 'ave a colony?"
Lolani decided to walk down the tree trunk so she could converse with the two boys more easily.
"It is good to meet the both of you," she said, doing her best to ignore Yetian's babbling voice and Yejian's violence. What an odd pair.
"I 'ave a brother as well, but two sisters. Do you two 'ave sisters?"

Yejian chuckled, "No i do not believe i 'ave and colony" He said making fun of her accent. Why did she talk funny? The dark cheetah looked at his brother still dazing off into space. Were they really related. He smiled at the female, "Lolani pretty name, and it was nice to meet you too." At least this was hsi chance to move in since his brother was being a idiot.
Yitian looked at his brother and realized what he was doing. He always did this to him, it made him mad. Sometimes he hated his brother in moments like this. He looked at the female, "We have one sister and another brother." He was quite please that he was able to say something but it was probably because he was so angry at his brother.

"Eet is good zat you 'ave a sister. Boys get silly when there are no girls around. Mine rolls in ze mud and tries to act like a man. I 'ope that you two do not be'ave zis way." Lolani gave them what she thought of as a stern look, but anyone who knew her would see through it.
Lolani was just as willing to misbehave as any boy - although she stayed clean. As was attested by her presence here, far away from the area her mother wanted her to play in. Not that she planned on mentioning that to Yejian or Yitian.
"Will the two of you be around for a while?"

Yejian smiled, noticing his brother finally was able to gather his thoughts. "Turning his attention to the female, "Well be around as long as you want beautiful." He said giving a coy, cokcy smile on his face."How about you will you be around long? Would we be able to play together sometime?" He hoped she would say yes maybe next time he and her could just play with out Yitian. Thats only in a perfect world.
Yitian grinded his teeth, why did his brother always do this. His brother always had to outshine him no matter what they did. "Yeah We should totally hang out more." He smiled "Are sister is a tattle tail. She always tries to get us in trouble. And Yejian is one that probably acts like your brother." A small smerk grew as he threw out his brother like that.
