Momo poked his head out of his cave cautiously. He'd been seeing something dark and kindof worrisome in the waters near the bottom recently and he was afraid like he hadn't been since living in the ocean just off of Kobe, Japan. He'd not had to deal with predators since then, and he was very worried that he might have to worry now.
[8/6/2011 11:29:19 PM] Pix: Nitor was right within those waters, skulking about the area. He'd escaped the lab he was created in quite awhile ago, but hadn't quite settled anywhere, roaming and stopping and roaming some more. The area was nice, the waters were deep and cool and there was a fair amount of small fish. He hovered near the surface, glowing softly.
[8/6/2011 11:33:26 PM] Angela Telmos: Softly glowing eyes picked up the green glow and he darted out of the cave, swimming like a flash to go and hide someplace else - someplace he didn't care about. He didn't want the creature following him back to his home! Nevermind that he had no recolection of the creature ever having been a threat - just a glimpse of those tattered fins told him that there could be trouble!
[8/6/2011 11:40:10 PM] Pix: His ears pricked as he turned to face the flicker of soft blue he had seen in the corner of his eye. Was there someone else here as well, or some sort of fish he hadn't seen before? He swam after whatever had flashed by hesitantly but quickly--a small fish may mean dinner, but another larger, territorial fish could mean a fight.
[8/6/2011 11:43:04 PM] Angela Telmos: The blue themed fish turned his head to glance backwards and spotted the scary creature coming right at him! He couldn't wring any more speed from himself though - he was going as fast as he could! Instead, he whirled around and flared his fins, brightening his glow in an attempt to scare the creature away.
[8/6/2011 11:51:11 PM] Pix: He stopped as quickly as he could and attempted to mimic the other male, flaring up what little of fins he had left, but glowing more softly in an attempt to show submissiveness. He didn't want to start a fight, but also didn't want to leave the area. Not yet, anyway. The anglerfish hybrid attempted a "hello", though the word was mangled through a mass of teeth.

He also had to feel sorry for him, now that he saw the anglerfish up close. He flitted closer and then started to check him over, looking concerned. "What happened to you? You look like someone hurt you!"
[8/6/2011 11:59:08 PM] Pix: He smiled a bit, relaxing himself and letting the other glowing sea-dweller look him over. "It's a long story," he sighed, looking the other over as well, "I'm from a lab." He'd explained this once or twice before, getting odd looks and "well you don't look like it"s. That is, if the fox he was talking to could even understand him.
[12:02:13 AM] Angela Telmos: There seemed to be a little bit where he really did have trouble, but once he took the time to distinguish what sounds were what around those teeth, he did just fine. "Oh! That's awful! I've heard about those a freind of mine that lives on the land - he was in a lab. Is that where you got hurt?"
[12:06:22 AM] Pix: He raised his brows in surprise that the other was able to distinguish what he said, and nodded, chuckling. "My cellmates were not so friendly," He mused, tilting his head in thought, "Do not try to befriend a hungry tiger shark that hasn't eaten in a few hours."
[12:08:01 AM | Edited 12:08:14 AM] Angela Telmos: Shaking his head, he agreed in a very cute manner. "Iye! That is the last thing you want to do! Tiger sharks will eat you up as soon as look at you! I know - I'm from Kobe Japan - i know that just about any shark is bad news!"
[12:15:17 AM] Pix: Grinning, he sat down and curled his tail around himself. "I certaintly know now!" He chuckled, tilting his head again in the opposite direction, "What's a Ko-be Japan? Do they have a lot of sharks there?"
[12:18:11 AM] Angela Telmos: Momo giggled and settled down in front of him. "Haaai! There are alot of sharks there - especially near the reef where I lived. Mostly they would leave you alone, but every once in a while, one of them would decide to be hungry and then, CHOMP! You have to swimswimswim! Because otherwise they'll eat you!"
[12:56:02 AM] Pix: Quite amused by the other's almost childlike demeanor, he laughed and nodded. "Sounds like the lab, almost! Only, uh, less lab-things going on," He leaned forward a bit, looking him over again, "Why did you leave?"
[12:59:25 AM] Angela Telmos: Momo paused and then withdrew a bit. "I... I didn't do it on my own. Some people took me and sold me - they said i was rare and they sold me to a circus. One of them had this jolty stick they'd put in the water - it was NOT fun. I escaped and was living in the sewer, but then my land freind found me and put me in this pond."
Nitor frowned, leaning back a bit to give him space. "Ah..." He mumbled, looking away, "I'm sorry to hear that. I'm glad you escaped, though." The anglerfish nodded, "I'm sure it was hard, living like that."
[1:15:28 AM | Edited 1:23:32 AM] Angela Telmos: A nod met the sympathies. "Haaai - i still do miss Japan an awful lot. But I have even better things here, and I don't really have to worry about predators. Are you going to be living here too now?"
[1:44:52 AM] Pix: He nodded a bit, looking around. "So there aren't any others around here?" Nitor guess he should've assumed, it wasn't exactly bursting with activity and he hadn't really run into anyone else. "Hm, I don't really know yet. I travel pretty often, so I may, I may not." He shrugged lazily.
[1:50:25 AM] Angela Telmos: "Well, there is one other person in this pond. She's fun to hug - she goes all stiff and all. I think she's really scared of alot of things. I keep trying to get her to even smile at me, but no such luck." He said and looked sad. "I'm not really interested in her as a mate or anything like that, but she could smile more - it would be good for her." he continued and nodded. "Oh! Do you want to see my cave? Maybe that will help make up your mind! It's really nice inside!"
[1:56:03 AM] Pix: "Is that the one from the lab? Heh, if so, I can't really blame her much," He mused, standing again and uncurling his tail from himself. It'd be interesting to see another lab experiment around here, he'd heard of escapees quite a bit but never thought he'd see one. "Oh! You've got a home around here? I'd love to see," he chuckled, stretching.
[2:06:12 AM] Angela Telmos: "I'm not sure if she's from the labs, but she lives in the seaweed down near the bottom." He replied, and flitted off towards his cave. "Follow me!"
