Everyone had received a letter a few days prior that the first outing was going to take place. The Elders had specified that anyone was allowed to sign up to go, but if they missed the date they would have to wait until the next outing. The humans had become more restless and hostile, so they stressed the importance of sticking to the group and being on their best behavior while out.

Once the sign ups closed, those who had made it into the outing were notified to proceed to the front gate at 12pm on the 9th of August. There they would meet their chaperone, an Adult Meta by the name of Deskri. Avon had taken it upon himself to hand write a note at the bottom of each letter, letting the participants know that Deskri was not exactly a walk in the park and they should probably not follow his example when interacting with the locals.

The others were simply told to stay tuned for the next outing, and were assured that it would be soon, since the Elders realized it was a rather small group this time.

Deskri had not wanted to do this. He would much rather be home, helping Sonnet with the kids. Kindle obviously had a speech problem and he was pretty sure if they worked with her it would be fine, but how was he supposed to work with her if he was busy babysitting kids he didn't know out in the city? On top of that, he hated humans. The only humans that were okay were Meta parents, and apparently that was wrong because this whole mess started because some stupid humans adopted a kid without realizing what they were getting themselves into.

Needless to say, by the time noon came around he was already pissed. He was at least, not pissed enough for it to effect his appearance. Deskri had a knack for literally turning colors when he got worked up. Today he was dressed in his usual purple-black attire, loose fitted tank-top over a form fitted turtleneck, and skinny jeans.

He shifted his weight from one leg to the other, hiding out in one of the shadows next to the gate. Avon had told him that all he needed to do was press his hand to the brick and it would respond to him. The thought of Avon brought a scowl to his face. That damn Elder was always pestering him. In fact it was stupid Avon that had swindled him into doing this outing.

Looking at his watch Yoo saw that the time for the outing was coming soon. Excitement had hit him pretty hard that Yoo had almost caught no sleep at all but he just really couldn't help it. Even though he knew that he would get some bad stares he still wanted to be able to go out. Being on campus and not being allowed to go outside was starting to feel like a cage and Yoo the bird that wanted to fly freely. Oh how he wanted to go back to painting in the parks well at least he was making some friends now so that was good.

Looking at his watch once again he thought it was finally time for him to go. Putting on his black converse then grabbing his messenger bag Yoo was out the door. Fixing his black and blue stripped tank top then his light blue fitted jeans Yoo began to run through the halls. Bursting through the doors he ran to the location he had to be but just like the signing up it seemed that Yoo was the first one there or so he thought.

After some looking around Yoo finally spotting the one who would be in charge of leading the outing, Deskri. Yoo wanted to go over to him but it seemed as though the other was a bit grumpy at the moment and wanted to be left alone. He did just that and just waited by the gate for all the others to come along.

Unlike his brother Vic took his time getting ready for the outing since he had been thinking about backing out but it was already too late. Just getting out of the shower he sat on his and Moira's bed naked for a while as he waited for himself to naturally dry off. After the wait he just grabbed his undergarments and put them on followed by a black tank top with a guitar design and dark blue fitted jeans. Vic waited to put on his boots until the last minute and while he did that he made himself a simple bowl of cereal with milk.

After some time of very slowly eating his food he got his boots ready to put them on. Sitting on the bed he put them on and grabbed his leather jacket he had left on the bed. He was now ready well almost. Going to his closet he took out his guitar with the strap and put it on so he could carry it. It was for just in case any humans thought they were brave enough to try anything funny and he had a feeling some might.

Going out of his home Vic slowly walked to the direction of the gate. It seemed pretty peaceful that day and maybe it wouldn't turn out as bad as the incubus had thought. Reaching the gate not too long after he had left his home he saw that there were only two people there, his brother and Moira's uncle. Of course Vic went over to his brother and just ruffled his hair and gave him a hug. "Good to see you" Vic said in a soft voice as they exchanged smiles and hugs.

Generally speaking, Theo liked to arrive to things...fashionably late. It was an excuse for him to not have to rush to get places on time, and also ensured that people would pay more attention to him when he did show up. It was the simple things in life that made it so sweet.
However, this being the case, it was rather odd that he was the third person on the scene for the outing. In reality, he had gotten up earlier than expected and had been prowling the campus solo (after unsuccessfully trying to get Sergei up to go with him), which meant that he really didn't need any more time to kill before showing up. He squinted down toward the gate and shoved his hands into the pockets of his half-zipped charcoal hoodie, the hood of which was barely clinging to the back of his head. He was already annoyed when he realized he was on time...but to make matters worse, neither of his two friends were there yet. And also, there were no girls. That didn't help either.

The teen seemed to be seriously considering going back inside to wait a few more minutes, but laziness got the best of him and he just trudged lamely over to the group and parked himself slightly away from the rest of them. He stared at the brothers for only a moment, then threw his eyes toward Deskri - who appeared to be using an expert camouflage in order to disappear into the shadows. If this was the guy leading the trip, no doubt he was in for a barrel of laughs. Theo cleared his throat, and mumbled something that sounded like 'hey' to the general vicinity, feeling just a little out of place.

Gavin had been looking forward to this outing ever since he saw the sign up sheet and signed his name in neat looking cursive on the first available blank line. Immediately he'd rushed off to tell his two best friends and insist the they needed to all go. He'd been itching to get out on the town away from the campus. This lock down had left him feeling trapped and unhappy. It had been so rare in his life that he'd been restricted from roaming free and he hated it with every bit of his will.

Approaching the group he noticed his friend Theo had already arrived and was sitting a little away from the group. He recognized the other three, though couldn't say he had ever talked to them for any length of time. He knew the most about Deskri based on some journal snooping he'd done in some of the dorms one time. Not that he would ever let on that he knew about all Deskri's dramatic life but it was interesting to know anyway. It didn't surprise him that Deskri was off in the shadows at any rate.

Aftre wracking his brain he remembered that the angel was named Yoo an that Gavin had met him at a sleepover once. The other was an incubus named Vic who Gavin thought was dating that girl with the pink hair, Moira, who had given him the necklace Gavin was wearing now at the secret santa event.

Giving the three that weren't Theo a once over, Gavin was feeling glad that the others in the group were pretty hot, even if two of them were taken. Didn't mean he couldn't flirt with them. He was also feeling glad that he'd dressed to look his best and taken time to fix his hair properly. Stopping near Theo first, Gavin decided he should greet his friend first.

"Hey look who made it on time for once." He teased his friend, being well aware of Theo's habit of being fashionably late. Gavin then turned to the other three.

"Hey there guys. You are all looking very fine this afternoon." He said waggling his eyebrows almost teasingly. That way if they wanted to take it as a joke they could...if not well... that was more then fine with Gavin too.

Halfway across the campus, Sergei was only just scrambling out of his and Theo's dorm room, still pulling on his jacket. He had fully intended to be on time to this outing - really, he had. Unfortunately, things hadn't seemed to work out that way for him.

Not only had the teen stayed up too late the night before, but he had managed to fight off his roommate a little bit too successfully when he had tried to wake him up: after his pleads for 'five more minutes' had proven to be ineffective in the face of Theo's persistent poking and prodding, Sergei had grabbed the nearest object and chucked it at the bee's head. Mercifully, that had caused Theo to sulk off out of the room. But as it turned out, the particular object he had ended up throwing across the room had been his alarm, and in its collision with the wall it had somehow managed to turn itself off. He woke up by himself some time later and, after locating his clock in a pile of laundry, had discovered that he had five minutes until the official meet-up time for the outing.

Needless to say, he had gotten ready faster than he ever had before.

By the time the meeting place was in sight, Sergei was five minutes late. Without even taking stock of the unfamiliar faces, he locked on to his bros and slowed his pace to what he hoped was a casual saunter over to them, trying to slow his breathing and his heart rate.

"Hey," Sergei said to Theo and Gavin. His attempts to look like he hadn't just sprinted there were at least partially successful. But to the trained eye, the particularly bad state of disarray of his hair was a clear indicator of how much he had really rushed to get there. It was obvious he hadn't even taken the time to brush it - it was still flat against his head on one side where he had slept on it.

Most of them seemed to arrive early or on time, which was fine with Des. The faster they all got there, the faster he could get this over with. He had never thought there would be a day when he'd rather put himself through My Little Pony with a toddler than go be outside, but this was that day. Maybe later he could convince Kindle that My Little Pony wasn't the best show in the world after all.

He recognized most of them by sight, but not by name, which made it difficult to tell who was late by the time four of them had showed up. Getting ignored by most of the arrivals was fine with him, less time talking, more time thinking... More time realizing that the pixies were going to give him s**t and he did not want to deal with it. Oh no. He could tell the bee was trouble the second he saw him, and the other one?

Teenage hormones abound, oh god. He grimaced at the greeting... seriously? He was thankful when the fifth one finally arrived so he could just pretend the kid hadn't said anything at all and get on with the plan of what was happening during the outing.

He stepped from his place in the shadows, looking over them. He knew Vic and his sibling whoeverhewas wouldn't be an issue, but the others... "Okay here's the plan, we're going to ride a ********' bus into town, we're going to the outdoor shopping mall. If you want to go to a store you have to take at least one buddy because they aren't kidding when they say the humans are hostile. And you have to let me know, first." He and pulled out his list of who was attending and the notes Avon had given them.

His stomach sank. "And apparently, Theo, Gavin and Sergei are not to leave my sight so you three get to spend your delightful time out with me." He looked up from the paper, eyes focused on all of them with a gaze that said he was already pissed off. "If any humans attack you, do not attack back just defend yourselves and come back to me. If they try to verbally provoke you or some bullshit ignore them. If a shop owner says you can't shop there, go somewhere else. This should all be ******** common sense. If you cause a ruckus you won't be going on another outing for an indefinite amount of time." He pocketed the paper and turned around, placing a hand on the side of the gate.

It creaked open just enough for them to squeeze through, though for the smaller Metas like Deskri himself it wasn't much of an issue. There was a bus already waiting for them on the other side, so he immediately headed for it without another word to the others. He waited by the door though, for them to climb on and pick their seats before getting on and finding his own seat behind them so he could easily watch what they were doing.

Yoo and his brother just watched as the others arrived one by one. Yoo didn't mind the wait unlike Vic did but Yoo did his best to keep him from getting too angry and leaving. Everyone seemed so nice some, Theo, maybe a little grumpy but Yoo just took it as they probably had a bad morning. Gavin though seemed like the happiest out of the new people he saw and when the other had made the comment Yoo just simply smiled and waved unlike Vic who just gave a displeased look which he got an elbow to the stomach from Yoo. The last person to arrive didn't seem that bad, messy but not bad though Yoo didn't have much time to know much since his attention was taken.

When Deskri came out from the shadows and gave out the information both brothers gave their attention to him but as Deskri put attention to the three other boys and how they had to stay near Deskri, Vic could not help chuckle but that soon stopped as Yoo elbowed him again. Vic couldn't help it who would, seriously. Though Vic went serious as the topic of possibly being attack came up. That right there was the reason for Vic bring his guitar. Sure he thought it would be funny at punch a human but not the fact that he would get in trouble. He knew if any human tried anything funny he would just have to string a few notes and have them be like putty in his hands. The thought quickly brought a smirk to the incubus's face but it stopped when he looked at Yoo. "You have to stay near." The incubus whispered which was return with a smile and nod by his brother.

As the gate open Vic quickly pushed Yoo to go first as he followed right behind him. For Yoo it was easy to get through the gate but not for Vic. The first few tries his guitar got caught, preventing the incubus from going through. Finally getting the clue Vic removed his guitar from his back and squeezed through though without giving Deskri a look as if saying, 'Why didn't you just open it more if you see I was having trouble'. After the trouble of getting though and Yoo laughing at him both got into the bus, sitting next to each other near the back even giving Yoo the window seat. Setting the guitar between his legs Vic looked out the window to watch the others get on.

Just like a kid Yoo sat up to look out the window. Oh how much more excited he was getting from this whole trip and even getting to ride the bus. "This is already so fun. I really hope it doesn't turn out bad. Oh I should have brought a camera." Yoo said with his face to the window as if it was stuck there with glue. "I wonder if the others are just as excited as we are~?"

"Oh yes they are just so excited. Woo~." Vic replied with a bored look on his face and an emotionless tone in his voice. Of course he was making fun of his brother but Yoo had taken it seriously and was jumping in his seat even more.

(I apologize for how long this took...I've been held up way more than I expected. :/)

Theo was rather glad that nobody in the gathering that he didn't know made attempts to talk to him - in fact, he was largely ignored, which suited him fine for the moment because he wasn't quite up to full speed yet. This didn't, however, stop him from snarking back at Gavin when his friend finally did show up. "I'm always on time. Enough. Maybe I just felt like being super respectful of the deadline today." His expression afterwards was flat. No, of course that wasn't the case. Theo also made a point of wrinkling his nose in distaste at his friend's 'compliments' paid to the rest of the group, making sure he disassociated at that moment to make sure no one got the wrong idea.
He did not think they looked very fine. Only Gavin did.

It came as some annoyance to him that Sergei only came running five minutes after they were supposed to have met. Had the giant idiot have gotten up when he had been told to, this wouldn't have happened. Had the alarm not been thrown at his face, maybe Theo would've been generous enough to set it back on the nightstand. Had all things gone as planned, then Theo would also not have spent his long morning doing nothing and being hideously bored. Serves the rest of the world right for not entertaining him. In the end, Sergei's greeting was met with only a knowing look, an the promise of many 'sleeping beauty' jabs as soon as the time was right. As it was.. Morticia had begun his explanation of the outing, so Theo kept his mouth shut.

...Kept his mouth shut until it was made clear that they would have to be stuck by Deskri's side the whole time, to which the teen snorted loudly and gave the adult a manic look.
"I literally cannot wait. This is going to be a barrel of laughs if I've ever seen one." He added in with just a touch of sarcasm, knowing damn well he was about to make this guy's life a living hell. He let out a short laugh and then squeezed through the gate, charging up into the bus and stomping his way all the way to the back seat before throwing himself into it like only a stupid teenager can. The back seat was where the cool kids sat, after all.

Gavin's attention was quickly diverted from the other guys when Sergei came on the scene. A thought about how ridiculously cute Sergei's bedhead was scuttled across his mind but it was swiftly pushed aside. Instead Gavin gave Sergei a smile and waves back.

"Hey yourself."

Before he could say anything further Deskri was speaking about the details of the outing. Gavin found wondering if he could sound anymore thrilled about it rather sarcastically as Deskri spoke. He wasn't going to let Deskri or the potentially hostile humans dampen his spirits though. As Theo spoke Gavin gave a soft snort of amusement.

"Well then I guess the three of us lucked out." Gavin gave Deskri a wink before the older meta went through the gate. Squeezing through the gate was not much of a problem for Gavin due to his smaller pixie build. As he passed by Deskri on his way onto the bus he gave him a rather predatory and a little bit sexual glance and then promptly boarded without another word. He followed Theo towards the back of the bus and plopped down next to him, totally ignoring the fact that there were plenty of empty seats around. He gave a large stretch and then settled and arm around the back of the seat and gave Theo a joking cheeky grin.

"Today is going to be so awesome."

Sergei only nodded at Gavin and made a face at Theo before turning his attention to Deskri when the older meta began to speak.

Not allowed to leave his sight? Sergei's eyebrows shot up at the thought. He didn't bother wondering why they had to stay with their chaperone - he and the pixies had given the rest of the world more than enough reason to put them on a leash - but he couldn't help but think that this wasn't going to end well for someone, and he was hard-pressed to believe that it would be him and his bros. He almost felt bad for Deskri. Almost, except the prospect of bothering him sounded way too entertaining to pass up. Sergei thought that he seemed like the kind of guy who was easily provoked.

At the gate, Sergei watched Vic with some amusement as he struggled with his guitar. He couldn't help but wonder why he had bothered to bring it on the outing, but didn't say anything. On his own way through the gate, he used one hand to push it open further to accommodate his taller (and broader) stature.
"Cheer up," he said to Deskri as he climbed by the older meta onto the bus. "You're going to have a blast with us."

Theo and Gavin were already sitting down by the time he got to the back of the bus, so he dropped down into the outer seat in the row next to them, letting his legs stretch out into the aisle - the seats were a little too close together for comfort for him. He snorted when Gavin put his arm around Theo's shoulders. "I don't know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to our quality time with Little Miss Sunshine."

Okay... Vic and Yoo were fine. He was pretty sure he didn't have anything against either one of them. But the other three... he could sense trouble from a mile away and oh... were they setting off his trouble alarms. That look from Gavin nearly got him a smack in the face but Deskri resisted, at least enough to make a jerky motion as if he were going to smack that grin right off of his stupid pixie face, but refrained from actually doing it.

Sergei was honestly lucky he didn't get smacked for his comment, as well as Gavin's look. Oh. This was so infuriating. SO INFURIATING. And of course... they all went to the very back of the bus. That didn't bother him. oh no. In fact it gave him ideas.

A most twisted grin came to his face at the idea. His shadow slowly rose up off of the ground before skittering up to the roof, and then crawling its way to the back where it settled, empty white eyes and wide spiny-tooth grin facing down, just over the three in the back. And if, somehow, one of they managed to miss the whole creepy entrance, a thin train of shadow lead back and connected with Deskri's foot on the floor. He didn't even bother to glance back at them, instead he leaned back against his head and closed his eyes, allowing his shadow to communicate anything it heard or saw to him.

This was going to be an interesting bus ride.
