 Wander groaned loudly as he wandered through the swamp, looking for a so-called legendary named "Stargarden".
He knew nothing of this legendary, except, well, that he was quite knowledgeable about... offspring? The guy had like, great-great-great grandkids, or something. He MUST know something about being a dad... granddad... whatever.
Looking about, he wondered just WHERE he could find this legendary. He had heard legendaries were able to take the shape and form of familiars, and he began squinting at the songbirds and foxbuns, wondering if one of them could be him.
He sighed, exasperated, and turned towards Singsong.
"I don't supposed you know where this guy is?"

It wasn't uncommon for the stag to prefer to take form as his familiar appearances. He seemed to prefer being a crane, being able to easily take his place back into the sky with wing but today he walked on four legs, his tail swaying behind each of his step. He seemed to be following something today, something that had distracted him from his usual wandering. What could that something be? Just listen, Stargarden's voice began to whisper to the wind.
"Bites for Fun," he began. "Come out, come out, wherever you are."
He was playing Hide-and-Seek and it seemed he was the seeker. He wasn't very good at it, having been at this game for over two days now. This in mind, the stag didn't seem to mind a distraction when he looked forward and seen what seemed to be a giant frog talking to a songbird. What an odd sight indeed. The blue, bright coat seemed to bring Stargarden a bit of caution. Beware of those brightly coloured frogs.

He sighed when Singsong only flapped about, staring at him blankly.
He took that... as a no.
Releasing another sigh, he was about to turn around and head back, when he caught sight of another buck. Or... at least it looked somewhat like a buck. He had never seen a legendary before, but... it had horns, 4 legs and hooves. What else could it be?
Not knowing what to do, he only stared at the other, who seemed to also be regarding him with caution.
After it seemed like an eternity passed, Wander finally gathered the courage to walk up to him, looking him up and down before speaking.
"Are you the one they call "Stargarden"?"

Stargarden was watching the buck as the buck watched him and soon Wandering Echo was probably feeling a bit uncomfortable as Stargarden didn't reply and the seconds passed by in silence. Seconds continued to pass and his stare intensified. His stare lingered on the buck, and the longer Stargarden stared at him the more it seemed as if he were some sort of poisonous frog. Alas, the buck would be pleased when the stag slowly nodded his horned head in reply to the question.
"I am Stargarden," he replied. "What is it you'd like from me? I'm afraid I do not have any mosquitoes to give you."

A mixture of relief and confusion, Wander was glad he had finally found him. He wasn't sure if he could take any more of Singsong's twittering.
"I was wondering if you could give me a blessing. I kinda, uh, got someone pregnant. AndnoIdon'twantanymosquitoes."
What did this buck think he was? A frog?

A frog was exactly what Stargarden thought the buck was so when it asked for a blessing he was a little drawn in surprise. He looked around, occasionally becoming distracted by the fluffy cloud that swished just outside of his view that was otherwise known as his tail. It took a few minutes, probably several awkward minutes for the buck, before Stargarden decided that even frogs deserved lots and lots of babies. However, he would also need mosquitoes to feed them later. How come he didn't want any? It was curious indeed but he only lingered on it for a moment.
"Ohhhhhhhhh," he replied finally, quite a bit delayed.
However, the light in his eyes seemed to glow brighter as he loomed toward the buck. Things were getting serious as Stargarden moved around him, smelling the buck curiously. He didn't smell like a frog, but then again Stargarden didn't make a habit of sticking his nose near them. At least he didn't think he did, it was actually probably quite a bit likely for the stag to do such things.
He took a deep breath.
May you have enough mosquitoes to feed all of the many children you will have.
Did he just talk? His mouth didn't seem to move at all but the voice pierced into the buck's mind clearly. Mind trick? He must have spoken.

The moment seemed like an eternity for Echo, and he shifted impatiently. Was this stag really a legendary? He seemed a little loopy.
Wander was about to open his mouth and thank the stag for at least offering to help, before hearing a booming voice echo in his head. Echo? Wait, did the stag even speak?
... MOSQUITOES? The hell, he JUST told the stag-
He froze as he felt some odd sensation overcome him. Was he having some kind of epiphany? He stood and stared off into the distance before he suddenly snapped to his senses, and the stag before him came back into focus.
